Spectacular hunt. What a great follow up shot . That animal will feed the locals village for the entire dry season when all the animals migrate north . Conservation at its best !
Stop deceiving yourself bozo! Do you really have to lie just to make yourself feel better?
How could you kill something so harmless and majestic and beautiful.
I can't understand it either.
Just do a quick Google search and you will find how many peoples are killed every year by elephants. These are not pet elephants bro they do a lot of harm to crop fields, live stocks etc. And they can destroy forests. I live in Bangladesh and in hill tracks of Chittagong there are a lot of Indian elephants. Though not as big as african bush elephants these elephants every year cause considerable damage to villages there. But unfortunately Big game hunting is not permited in my country. And one more thing, hunting in the video is controlled hunting. And money spend by these hunters are helping to save these elephant. Coz this money helps their government to stop illegal poaching.
So bro next time before you decide to be a complete idiot by commenting such things, atleast make sure you know what you are talking about... Fool

What happens to the meat?
The surrounding tribes get it
the woman in comfortable shoes took a good shot, kind of reminded me of Elmer Fudd lol, I think elephants should be respected and left alone as the ivory trade brought the species to borderline extinction, they are a beautiful creature
I agree with you that we should not kill them. But, if they are too numerous, they destroy the environment.
Elephants number in the hundreds of thousands, nearly half a million to be more exact. Definitely not endangered as some organizations want you to believe.
The poachers didn't get that one and waste tons of meat
I wonder what Jeff Rann was using .. ?

It is so sad to see the extermination by these hunter’s of such an exotic spieces. Moreover its repugnant to witness them after killing elephants, so exhilarated Disgusting

Awesome video...
I hunted when I was younger but never would I shoot anything so large and beautiful as an elephant. This is people invading the animals domain and killing for some kind of sadistic pleasure. I don't even want to watch it.
So don't!
These elephants are all hunted in preserves where they need to be managed for overpopulation, or in places where they threaten human habitation. Hunters pay Africans millions a year to shoot animals that were going to have to be killed by a professional culler anyway.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU
you make no sense at all. so, when you were younger hunting a animal, invading its domain and because it was smaller it was okay right? The hunters that hunt elephants in Africa are allowed to do so because the animal they are hunting is over populating the area and elephants are very destructive. Do some research before your fingers start typing something stupid. You dont even want to watch but obviously you searched a certain criteria and commented on it, what a donkey lol
is elephant beautiful?? this is an ugly monster with funny sounds... but now local people have meat to eat❤
Hey guys I’m just curious to know what happens with those elephants horns???
Legally Sold in the market
Thanks for the review ! I just got me a set a few months ago ready for whitetail season here in tennessee! Never had a set of scent blocker brand, excited to see if it does cover scent as well as advertised. Only thing is I’m a realtree excape guy but all is good lol thanks for the review again
Scent blocking clothing is ok if you care for it correctly. It needs to be washed in special scent free detergent, sealed in bags, and stored in a cool place when it isn’t being used.
But, even with that, there’s plenty coming off you deer can smell easily, especially your breath. I own a lot of very expensive camo, kuiu, First Light, etc. Including scentlok stuff, and I’ve definitely been winded while using it. I definitely wouldn’t put my faith in it, you’re better off with good digital camo and a tree stand than scentlok and a ground blind.
Oh my goodness, how many advantages do you so called hunters need? Man up or quit bragging about your hunting abilities
😢😢😢😢
It breaks my heart too😢
It certainly isn't easy to hunt such big and dangerous animals, and these many couch sitting critics condemning hunting and hunters as reckless, murderous swine driving all species to extinction , etc, are for the most part a bunch of ignorant people! In the first place are elephants in specifically Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa all but on the verge of extinction!! On the contrary, there are areas where local communities' very existence is under threat due to an enormous overpopulation of elephants! Are you even aware of that? These herds of elephant destroy habitats by breaking and destroying trees by the thousands! I have grown up here, and have witnessed in person a herd of 5-600 elephants in the north of Namibia! Do you have any idea what that looks like? It is extremely scary! Where is Africa supposed to go with all these animals if their numbers cannot be controlled by selective hunting? As one African minister recently said: maybe we should send 20000 elephants to Europe and see how they deal with that!!
Cuál es la diferencia entre ustedes y los cazadores furtivos?
None that I can see. I don’t know what a poacher makes for a killed elephant but I just looked up the cost of a guide in Botswana to kill an elephant, $20,000 to $50,000, that’s just for the guide service
She looks exhausted by shooting with a gun what if she could bring down that majestic innocent animal with her bare hands
From what I heard her guide had to give the fatal shot, yet she brags how she killed a magnificent creature. Pathetic

As a South African, I always struggle with this. Americans killing our Big 5. There always seems to be a justified reason such as overpopulation or the funds going to conservation. Are elephants really overpopulated? Do all the funds really go to conservation? Or do we just convince ourselves otherwise? I'm sure the animal won't go to waste, but elephants are one of the most intelligent animals on earth and it sucks seeing one being shot in the head. Witnessing an elephant's life extinguished, only to be replaced by a callous grin for a trophy, leaves a bitter taste of despair.
>"As a South African, I always struggle with this."
I don't, and no one actually cares about your nationality to begin with.
>"Americans killing our Big 5."
Lol, I'm sorry. YOUR Big 5? Says who? How do they all belong to you? This isn't even in the same country.
>"There always seems to be a justified reason such as overpopulation or the funds going to conservation."
And they're both correct, whether you like it or not.
>"Are elephants really overpopulated?"
In Botswana, yes.
>"Do all the funds really go to conservation."
The funds go both to conversation and community upliftment, yes.
>"Or do we just convince ourselves otherwise?"
Who is we? The researchers on the ground? They didn't "convince" themselves, they made a conclusion based on their own analysis. Game departments base their management practices off of said analysis.
>"I'm sure the animal won't go to waste, but elephants are one of the most intelligent animals on earth and it sucks seeing one being shot in the head"
This isn't an argument, this is an appeal to emotion. It has no place in a logical discussion.
>"Witnessing an elephant's life extinguished, only to be replaced by a callous grin for a trophy, leaves a bitter taste of despair."

The PH also took a POP at the Elephant, the second shot @ 15:09 timer on the video . Simultaneously with the huntress. He was POLITELY DIPLOMATIC about admitting it. Who wants to lose a good tip by saying it ? “ Good job, Ms Suckress “ with a laugh . Seriously, I don’t blame the PH for popping at the same time. I slowed down the moment you were referring to (13:09, not 15:09), and the elephant dropped immediately after the hunter's second shot went off, not the PH's. It seems as if he tried aiming for the hip as there was a good amount of dust that came off that area.
You are right Max. The length of the video is 15:09 and the “ ticking “ is at 13:09 when she took her 1st shot.
If the PH had shot it on the hip, it would have sank on its hip and not forward and down on its knees. But one thing is certain. The second & third shot or both did it. So we should give her the benefit of doubt. After all, we were not on the scene to check out the bullet holes too.

+ - 5 tons
I don't understand why they had a chance with one lone elephant which they rejected but then decided to face off against a group of 5.
The first one was too young and had a broken tusk. Had good Genes to let breed. The group contained an older bull that was of the desired age and size criteria. Elephants are genrally not hunted until they are on their last set of molars and are past the vast majority of their breeding lifespan. most elephants that live to thier last set of molars starve to death.

I go hunting, but I will never understand how one can kill such a beautiful and endangered animal for funsies. I find it revolting, and I have no problem shooting animals for food and protection of forests/agriculture. I just hope there's an element of game control here, too, and they don't just die as an expensive hobby for some bored Texan housewife. (Also, the elephants basically just stand there. You can't miss. They don't run. I've seen wild boars who were more dangerous and difficult to shoot.)
Look it up they are immensely overpopulated in this area and causing a lot of ecological damage that's why they allow the calling of certain animals usually the older bigger bulls because also as they get older they get unpredictable and become violent people are killed every year by rampaging old Bulls
The Botswana elephant is not endangered, it is in fact greatly overpopulated. Not all elephants are endangered

Pretty much neocolonialism and glorified white saviorism.
“Local and Indigenous” Africans have been doing just fine living with lions, elephants and other supposedly “dangerous” megafauna for millennia before European colonizers came in, drove these magnificent beasts close to extinction due to uncontrolled sport-hunting, and then collectively said “whoops!” and then drove the Indigenous populations out of their traditional homelands just for the sake of these game reserves and national parks (same scenario as the U.S. government driving away Indigenous tribes for our own national parks like in Yellowstone for example), plus erasing thousands of generations-worth of Indigenous knowledge of how they lived with these animals to begin with, so much so that now they’re solely dependent on these white saviors with guns for *everything*, ironically the very thing that erased their knowledge of sustainable living and independence in the first place, and even then some of the locals hired by these hunting outfitters (“but it produces JOBS!!!”) actually have regret over foreign white dudes shooting their own natural heritage just for the sake of bullshit “sustainable use”, even though SCI, Dallas Safari Club and all Africans bought into this era of exploitation say they’re all either “pests” or “dangerous nuisances” to begin with:
www.ecologicalcitizen.net/pdfs/epub-080.pdf
