    This is by far the most helpful DIY video I’ve ever seen. You saved me HOURS! If I hadn’t already purchased a radiator before finding this video, I would’ve purchased yours simply because your video was so helpful. I appreciated that you kept saying the size of the bolts on both take down and install. I also appreciated that you did the entire install after removing the old one. Seriously.... the dealership wanted $1700 to do this job. You saved my butt. Thank you.

    This video may very well be the BEST step by step description I have ever viewed. Thank you to the Mishimoto team for putting this together. I did the job under this guidance and the truck is back up and running. Thank you again, Ron

    Thank you so much for this video. I would not have tackled this job if I didn't see this video. Bought a Mishimoto replacement and walked through the video step by step. This is what a good company produces. Thank you!

    Thank you for the video! It’s a true help to the DIY world. I wish I hadn’t needed a radiator same day to keep rolling. I guess when I have to replace this available cheap OE rad I’ll be ordering your superior radiator!

    Great Video, yall did a good job showing all the steps without a lot of fluff. Also very helpful to not have to disconnect the AC like AllData says to:) I had already bought a factory rad, but if your radiators are as good as your videos they're top quality.

    I was days away from ordering a $1000 radiator until I found my radiator was not my problem. It was the crossover pipe gaskets blowing fluid. Fixed that and the truck has held coolant for over 1500 miles.

  • @asoullia

    Approximately how much coolant/water do you need to have on hand to refill the system for this job?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  Před 2 lety +1

      We would suggest picking up at last 4 gallons of coolant. The capacity of system is roughly 11.6 quarts from what we are showing.

    • @Griff4s
      @Griff4s Před 6 měsíci

      11.6 is just the secondary system. Don’t you have to completely refill the primary as well? 4 gallons would not be enough for all of that. Correct?

    Great Video. I have a2012 F-350 with a radiator leak (front driver's side, bottom of radiator). I live in Atlanta. Do you know any shops that can install your radiator for me. I do not feel comfortable doing it myself. Thanks

    you never hooked the hose back up that runs from the crossover pipe back towards i believe the water pump?

  • @Propotus
    @Propotus Před 10 lety

    Why would you only want to upgrade the primary radiator? Is there a common issue on the stock rads? Wouldn't you want to get rid of all the plastic tanks all at once?

    • @patrickmelson4745
      @patrickmelson4745 Před 8 lety

      +Propotus the primary one has plastic tank ends and they are separating. Apparently the secondary one is all metal with no issues.

    @patrickmelson4745 Před 8 lety

      i agree I'm just telling you what I see. Better it happen under 100k tho,at least warranty will cover it. All in all they're not bd motors

    • @carmas54
      @carmas54 Před 8 lety

      The radiator replacement wasn't under warranty... I had to shame Ford into paying for half of it. The motor isn't the problem, it's the Exhaust temp sensor and the whole complete EGR, cooler,sensor and valves other than that, the truck runs great. I have learned to live with it. The EGR was under warranty

  • @michaelcrimi99
    @michaelcrimi99 Před 5 lety

    Is this the same on the 6.2L gas, 2015 F250? the radiator looks the same.. and the problem sure is..ugh. At least it made to 160k.

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  Před 5 lety

      We unfortunately haven't tested out the 6.2L model yet but if the radiator is the same, the flexing issue is most likely affecting those chassis as well.

    • @michaelcrimi99
      @michaelcrimi99 Před 5 lety

      @@mishimoto Thank you! Is it also typical for the top and bottom hoses to dry up and loose a tight connection, when snapped in? It is 160k miles.

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  Před 5 lety

      Pretty common for OE rubber hoses to degrade within that timeframe. The on/off of daily driving is putting the rubber through heat cycles which will slowly crack and split the hoses. We switch ours out with silicone which is much more heat resistant and will typically last much longer.

    • @oscarwetzel7327
      @oscarwetzel7327 Před 2 lety

    Video is incorrect for these Super Duties. We all know that Step 1 for anything on these trucks is: Remove cab from frame

    Ford OEM radiators suck, Huntington Beach Ford in Ca wants $1400 to replace mine in my 2013 F250 Diesel with 63,000 mi pay $60,000 for a new truck and never have been off road and the radiator leaks. That’s BS

      I have a 2016 F350 with 80,000 mi on her leaking in the same spot. Ford in NC wants 1,400 to fix her. From what I understand that is a common problem do to all the flexing in the front. I know how u feel my wife wants to cut my nuts off.
