From Bewitched, Season 5 Episode 23, 'Tabitha's Weekend' - The Stephens insist that their grandchild Tabitha spend the weekend with them. To avert any magical disasters Samantha and Endora join them resulting the adults' squabbling. To escape the problems Tabitha disappears by turning herself into a cookie. Why does watching a 60s television shows have such a calming effect , make you miss those happy times when you are carefree or worry free, How I wish we could go back to those times again
Because they are perfect. Look at the homes, the cars, clothes, hair. Everyone so classy and refined looking. Thing were in order, that is why this show is funny. All that perfection gets wrecked. But I agree. Order is calming.

I was in the hospital last year and watching Bewitched on my phone was like comfort food for me.

I didn't know what that meant till I started getting migraines, they really do make you sick.

@@billybassman21, like a lot of people, Mrs. Stevens thinks that her headaches are migraines. As a massage therapist, I think "migraine" was the most misused term I ever heard. People would come into my room, "Ugh! I have such a migraine!"
No, they didn't. Migraines are debilitating in the pain they cause. If they truly had migraines, they wouldn't be so casual about it.
I'm not suggesting that YOU do this. I'm sure you know what migraines are really like and I'm sure you have them, since you accurately described them. But it seems like so many people describe their headaches as migraines, obviously not knowing what a migraine really is.
I always liked how Endora got along with Darrin's father, but not so much his mother
That was easy to see. Darrin's father was a more likable person where his mother wasn't.

My parents still have a Frigidaire Flair range in their winter place in FL. It's going soon though as all the burners have stopped working and there's something wrong with the temperature control in the main oven.
It's not just because it's vintage it's because all them props are brand new.
I love all the characters on Bewitch. They are just the greatest.
Sometimes I feel sorry for Mrs. Stephens.....and of course poor Gladys Kravitz!! LOL

I Loved when Tabitha turned the bird into a better speaking bird.
I love this episode. Endora and Samantha had great chemistry here. One of the few episodes that Darrin isn't missed that much.

Most televised comedy from this era doesn't age well, but for some reason this one did. Mrs. Stephens really got Got in this one.

Darren's mother was played by M.A. (Mabel Albertson). And Sam's mother was played by A.M. (Agnes Moorehead). Their initials are reversed.

THIS is one of my FAVORITE Episodes!! Darrin is sorely missed, but the rest of the ensemble carry on without him just fine. Endora is key here and her reference to "Alice B. Toklas" is legendary.

Number one like you said it was because Liz was really pregnant a third time and they did the same thing when she was pregnant the second time and also they hadn’t had a young warlock before. And besides it wasn’t certain they weren’t coming back when he was born or how much longer the series would last. The same thing could be said if they ended the show when Dick York left. You could question the point of Tabitha because she wouldn’t have been developed as much.

Oh no Sabrina was hysterically weird and funny, well scripted and imaginative, I loved that as a teen, perhaps just a generational thing? Bewitched is cute and am enjoying it but no way is it as brilliant as Sabrina. Melissa Joan Hart was great in the role, but Salem was the best lol.

Sabrina is better and I wish if stayed for more seasons because its more fun and with nowdays technology its look more real also they dont have annoying characters like darin ordering you not use magic 😒

For those who don't know, a "sick headache" is one with excruciating pain (sometimes a migraine). There is nausea and vomiting associated with it.
As a massage therapist, it always annoyed me when people casually walked into my massage room saying, "Ugh, I have such a migraine!"
I accept that they have a headache, but migraines are debilitating. If they had a actual migraine, they would be far less composed about it.
@@PatrickTheWriter Yes. My Mom used to get them and she had to go to bed,with the curtains drawn. Outside stimuli would make it worse. She had TRUE migraines.
The man playing Mr. Stephens was also in Petticoat Junction as the President of the Railroad... Great actor....

The bird sounds like Mrs. Stephen's voice. I wonder was that Mabel Albertson doing a voice over. Did anyone know that Mabel Albertson was Jack Albertson's sister? I was surprised and fascinated when I found that out. I remember he was the old guy on Chico and the Man.
Mrs Stephens was my last favourite character.She was mean to Samantha.
Endora and Darren,played against each other ,Darren tells endora off,endora puts a Spell on him. Endora calls him Durwood ,Darren tosses back an insult .

Sounds like Mabel Albertson, but it could be an uncredited June Foray. Foray did do occasional voices for the series, like voicing Tabitha in season 2's Baby's First Paragraph' This was when "Tabby" was played by babies Julie and Tamara Young.

I absolutely agree with you Ralph Seewald I am 65 in December and I was 3 on January 1st 1960 and 13 on December 31st 1969 and I well Remember that Decade and the People were happier and everyone knew everyone else the Television Programmes were a lot better and there was no such thing as Foodbanks and the quality of the Food like Everything else was far better and we had a lot less crime and Everyone was in work,and what happened at the end of the 1970's all the Problems began with the Arrival of the late Queen Thatcher and the County hasn't Recovered from the Damage what she did and I don't think it will
