Here's our '60s girl group / doo wop style remake of Ellie Goulding's "Burn," complete with a saxophone that shoots fire (called the "Flame-O-Phone," played by Stefan Zeniuk). Pay special attention to Adam's visibly uncomfortable reaction to seeing 4 foot flames come from the bell of a saxophone, and watch my security deposit go up in flames (both literally and figuratively). Warning: do not play with fire at home! Stefan is a trained professional.

The fire extinguisher atop the piano was a nice touch.
+Big Joe Probably an obligatory touch...
+Big Joe и закоптили потолок. Ceiling become smoked anyway
+Big Joe just in case they got burned while singing burn lol
+Big Joe I think that was for the saxaphone being set on fire.
They still got evicted from this flat anyway
Note that the whole thing was done in one take from a single camera. No cut-a-ways, no breaks, even with the flaming saxophone...lol. This is art. Nicely done.
PMJ does all their videos that way, as far as I know. It must take a lot of rehearsal for some of them. I admire the talent and the dedication to perfection.
@@MrJamberee I love the fact that not one of the singers take their eyes off the camera, even with a flamethrower going off a few feet behind them. Three very talented artists with a great backing band. In an age where everything is "enhanced" digitally, PMJ's live format is incredibly refreshing. Well done!
i keep listening after few months and yes, this shit is tight
@M H If you can make it with that smile, yes.
Geez, you know so much about art, i'd like to listen to your expert words all day long, captain internet.
Of all the PMJ masterpieces, this remains still one of the best, the out of this world vocalists, the flaming sax, the fire extinguisher on Scotts piano, and the groove.
Flaming sex too.
agreed
Just noticed the fire extinguisher 🤣👌
Comparto tu opinión.
Saludos
perfecto
I keep coming back for Cristina Gatti's voice. Goosebumps
Geez mate, she's awesome!!!!!!!
😍😍😍😍😍😍🥰
I doubt that sax player knows safe sax precautions
+Luminoxie ...maybe he's just a phony xD
Its just a prank bro
+Luminoxie Always practice safe sax
+YRUThinkn don't want any saxually transmitted diseases
XDDDDD
That fire extinguisher on top of the piano just makes this video.
xdddaaxxdd Also the saxs on fire
+xdddaaxxdd safety first
+xdddaaxxdd I have watched this so many times and just noticed the fire extinguisher tonight. I like the reaction of the bass player to the fire.
😅
That voice of Cristina Gatti is amazing in this song. Fits this style perfectly. What a lady ❤
Ya & that come hither look, damn!
I agree! That wry smile right at the start had me b 4:13
Yessss 🤩
She got me on my fucking knees
Afetr 9 years, still can't get enough of it...
the first singer has a beautiful smile
daryl reid haha
+john smith I agree
+daryl reid
Christina Gatti
The one on the right is very pretty.
she's wild isn't she?
This is like the best PMJ song ever. The way the singers smoothly take turns, every one of them different voice but none of them trying to stand out and it all works so well. I can never get enough of this
This song is a work of art, and should be archived, put into a time capsule, and brought out to behold by future generations as an shining example of what turn of the century culture could produce.
after 8 years still one of the best pieces I've ever enjoyed. just could not avoid keeping looking at that "burn" :)) masterpiece.
I never get tired of watching and listening to this brilliant arrangement. Whoever said that nothing is perfect hasn't watched this. 💛💚💜🎵🎶
Please! Please! Please! Put these three amazing singers in a song together again!!!
At first I thought the fire extinguisher was a cute little visual gag. Then I was like, oh damn, yeah you better keep that handy.
Cristina's beginning is amazing what a voice in the air
This one is a masterpiece. Everytime I listen to it I admire the loving way it was designed/composed/performed, up to the smallest detail.
The contrast in the voices of the three ladies makes this one really work.
Hey folks! Stefan Zeniuk (the Flame-O-Phone player / creator) is answering your questions about the Flame-O-Phone in the comment section- so FIRE away (sorry!!)
Bring it on!!!
Stefan Zeniuk does the fire damage your saxophone at all?
Stefan Zeniuk Hey there, I'm a bari player myself, and had a few questions 'bout your horn setup. Does the flame affect the lacquer on the bell at all? I'd think that the heat might cause some of the lacquer to go dry and peel off, possibly.
Also, is the flame actually responding to your inflections and airflow through the horn? From my understanding, unless you're hitting the low C-Bb areas, not much air really goes through the horn that far. Is there a mechanism that you're using to enhance the flame?
Nope, not really. The heat is very low-level, and brass has a very high melting point..... So no real damage. The only danger is for the heat to damage the pads, (felt and leather), but so far that hasn't been a problem.
The heat doesn't affect the lacquer because there isn't much left! It's a 1920 King, so pretty much all the lacquer is already gone.
Regarding the mechanism, no, it's not responding to my breath. I have the propellant rigged up to a lever under neath my left thumb, where a "low A" key would be. So, I trigger the flame bursts, which also gives me the flexibility to time it musically and rhythmically
The fire extinguisher on the piano is a nice touch.
the bass players reaction to the sax flame thrower is priceless ....
That burning sax made my day tho
He was on fire! :P
+PostmodernJukebox haha I was about to say that!
I like the black one ;)
and the fire extinguisher on the piano.
im laughing loud out man HAHAHHAHA
It's ridiculous how much better than the original this is.
Many of their covers are actually better than the original songs, which shows how brilliant this channel. I fail in love with their cover of 'genie in the bottle' very talented people
Its easy to copy.
idot vc
@@60viking it’s not a copy if it’s by galaxies better
Radio edits are so often meh. A lot of DJs have their remixes they play at EMD festivals and they rock it. Good energy.
Always loved this one. The smile on Scott’s face is priceless, the joy of creation.
Probably my favorite one
Just the fact that the flame-o-phone exists AND is able to be utilized so amazingly makes me happy. Let it burn!
THE MOTHER EFFING SAX PLAYER ... BRINGIN THE THUNDAH
:'D
+M Finch No, bringin de fire
M Finch yass bari ftw
All of the singers are fantastic, but when Robyn starts at 0:34, that is simply magical and awe inspiring.
I must have watched this vid a dozen times before I finally noticed the fire extinguisher.
Drop dead gorgeous women - check
Great choreography & vocals - check
4 foot flames with Adam's discomfort - check
Watching Scott break character, laughing - PRICELESS
Thumbs up for the fire extinguisher
Obviously all these ladies have great voices, but Robyn (middle) has so much power in her voice. Excellent cover all around!
the first singer is clearly the best of the crew
absolutely.....
Scott is normally so serious when he plays, but his smile when the sax fires up. Precious.
Oh my goodness they're all so talented, I'm hypnotized by the singers dancing 😍
hypnotizing hips 😍
I still can't get over this cover - that harmony, that power. just wow. and watchin the guitarist reaction - priceless
Yeah, I never tire of seeing Adam leaning away from the fire 😆 (and of course the music is great too)
Those girls are just too much for me to handle in this. amazing.
+John Kuckian They truly are! Thank you :)
+PostmodernJukebox You too Scott!! If I could sing I'd be asking to come over and chill! But I can't, I can just about twerk, I doubt that would fit in with your aesthetic though
I'll break my marriage vows, not really but close to it Just fun
I'm straight but the girls are making me even straighter xD
.
Apartment Manager : Mr. Bradlee, in regards to your security deposit, did you light a saxophone on fire in your apartment?
Scott : I have no idea what your talking about.
No hablo ingles
Rumor has it that Scott did get into trouble with the apartment lease because of this video. If that is true, I am grateful for the sacrifice for art that Scott made that day, this is still one of my absolute favorite PMJ songs. It never gets old.
Schnolle -Rumor? It’s literally in the description below the video
Ha! That was brilliant!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know this was done 8 years ago and I'm late to the party but this is fantastic. Someone had to repaint the room because all of the smoke coming out of that sax. I played sax but I never played it that HOT!
Listening to this for years and... Still feeling pure joy and give me goosebumps they're amazing!
I like how the bassist is not confident about the fire sax.
Yeah
He keeps moving away from it.
He just *gently leans away*
That's the kind of stuff that makes PMJ so much fun.
MrJamberee yes, yes, ues
btw- we're announcing more tour dates tomorrow morning...
Can you please make another date for NYC? It would be greatly appreciated. I missed out. :/
In the southern part of the USA hopefully...
I hope they come to San Diego
*cough*Kansas City*cough*
please come to Michigan! me and my dad love your music!
Never understand why only Robyn Adele Anderson is on the title of the video, when they all three were equally in all aspects for me... nevertheless, superb job, one of my PMJ's favourite (and that's something)!
THE BEST OF THE BEST!
This is still one of my favorite videos by Postmodern Jukebox. The ladies do a fantastic job. The sax is FIRE :D Literally!
So happy to hear that! And yes, he played so amazingly :P Feel free to grab the track on iTunes for perpetual listening! itunes.apple.com/il/album/burn/id880338868?i=880340905&app=itunes&ign-mpt=uo%3D4
I will some time soon. I promise. Are you coming to Chicago anytime?
They are in Chicago at the end of October
Jane H great video
I know, Im pissed I couldn't make it. I hope they come back.
50+ videos later, this is still one of my absolute favorites. The vocal talent is just off the charts and the flame-o-phone is of course legendary. Thanks so much everyone!
Glad to see they had the fire extinguisher in easy reach!
These ladies are simply breathtaking what an absolutely brilliant arrangement & production.
This is dedication. If every other performer had this same commitment to their craft the music industry would be a lot better.
This is my favorite trio! Cristina and Ashley were awesome! And Robyn never fails to amaze me. You guys nailed this one!!!!!!!!
They all sang so well together! Such amazing ladies!
This was their first ever video I watched. Still one of the best cause all the sassy girls and the fun with fire.
I have not heard a better remake of this song. The work translates perfectly to this ensembles style. Incredible.
omg the chills after hearing her voice (the girl on the left).. thought it's amy winehouse
yeh lol
Exactly! I stumbled upon this song played at a cafe I went last night and I kept asking myself knowing that Amy supposed to be-it's hard to say it-gone when this song came up.
Sonny Darvishzadeh yeah me too, I looked after her tattoos, but found none lol
Sonny Darvishzadeh Me too !! I commented above and then saw your post !
i LOVE how the fire extinguisher is wearing the same dress as the "girls"!
All the music I payed no attention to, is now the most addictive repertoire. Thanks to these flawless and beautifully choreographed and arranged performances in stylistically superb presentations.
I just can't get tired of this. Every musician in this video is great, and those three just seem perfect for this song. I went and watched what I think is the original, and this cover is infinitely better in my opinion. Thanks to all who made this better. I'm uplifted every time I watch it.
Love the fire extinguisher on the piano!!! lol. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 burn burn burn
-Your sax is on fire
-Thanks Bro
-NOOO I mean really is on fire..
-Faaaack
MARV11N SHOW TIME jaajajajajahahaq
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
hahahahhahahaha
That happened to someone I know.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That extinguisher on the piano… Great Job!
There can't possibly be anything cooler than playing a flaming sax on an awesome song.
I'm totally addicted to your amazing voices & I've listened to more tracks than I thought possible & they're really all amazing. "Burn" in particular, is so much.better than the original & each woman brings her own gift here without doubt. I have to say every time I hear the voice of the vocalist on the far left, I'm reminded of a happier healthier version of Amy Winehouse & thank you for.bringing that here & let's.not forget the flaming sax, of course..which totally rocks! YaY! Thanks for making the old tracks new & the newer tracks feel completely different & giving them a flavor of a different decade. SOOOO AMAZING! Plz don't stop doing what you all do. I'd do anything to see you do this live.
+Debi Ehrlich Im happy to read, that you feel it like me. Yes with happier healthier version of Amy Winehouse too- for me it is the first woman singer from All about the Bass.
+Debi Ehrlich I rarely go find the original anymore....
+Debi Ehrlich Thank you so much for your feedback and dedication! We are so lucky to have a fun like you! We will definitely keep on doing what we do, and your can get tickets to our shows on our website, and stay updated on upcoming shows and tours! postmodernjukebox.com/events/

DAT SAX IS ON FIIIIRE
Literally!
That sax should join Immortan Joe's warband.
Grim C.
that explains why there's a fire extinguisher on the top of piano! lol
literally..on fire
I'm trying to imagine how could it be even more awesome than this... My aesthetic senses are completely overwhelmed!
How could I fall in love with three different girls all at once? Your melodies truly drop like honey ladies, Thank YOU.
the fire extinguisher on Scotts piano !!!! it's amanzing!!! KKKK
I love how each singer 👧🎤👩🎤👸🎤got to show off their vocal abilities...👍💞
Cristina totally nailed that intro DAYUM what vocal power! They're all gorgeous though i mean i love them so damn divine!
Mrs. Gatti, I can't handle that smirk!! I'm melting to the core.
They are truly great together!
Do toxic by Britney sears
thissss
Awwww yissssssss
The absolutely hilarious thing about this is that their voices are actually better than the singers they are covering. And, that's not intended to be an insult in any way to the original artists. These people are just FREAKING INCREDIBLE!
And, that's funny because they aren't nearly as famous. Why? Because it's not "radio-friendly" enough. Unfortunate.
And the really ironic part is that if they did get an agent that could make them more "pop culture" famous, they'd be shoehorned into making more songs like we already have plenty of instead of doing more of this. I suppose these people are a good example of there being more to being successful than famous. They're famous enough to have fun and make a lot of people happy. And, they do it using other people's fame. That's cool, but if they WERE more famous, then they'd have to come up with their own stuff. And, I'm sure they could, but it wouldn't be as fun as remixing songs into completely new and different stuff like they do now.
you're saying ellie goulding has a bad voice? listen to her control you fool
I never said anyone's voice was bad. I said these people had a better voice.
I think that Ellie is the exception, she really has an incredible voice, go and watch some live videos or acustic for the Radio 1 at the BBC in London. She killed it, and these girls doesnt have a better voice than her, just a diferent one
You are insulting Ellie
Simon WoodburyForget "I'm a pretentious dick and people's feelings don't matter."
Damn, that sax is on fire!
No, I mean it's literally on fire.
Oh my gosh I just realized😂😂
I love the voice of the first lady.
There is so much crammed into a little rectangle of sequentially moving images, along with a beautiful audio track, that I've had to watch and listen to this numerous times to take in every wonderful element. The vocals give me goosebumps, the instrumental elements work perfectly, and subtly, there's humour, and fire! It's a casserole of cleverness.
All the girls rock. Cristina has such a velvet voice, so rich and luscious
They all have such smooth voices!
I saw a fire preventing video lesson that started in similar way. Cant stop smiling, great harmony and humor.
I sung this song in a talent show once. This cover made it possible for me to hear this song without cringing again.
What a perfect matchup of voices! Cristina Gatti blows me away! Robyn is knockin' out of the park and Ashley is just kickin' it! Man. This is a brilliant collaboration.
How did you burn off your eyebrows?
Playing baritone sax in PMJ.
Waaahahahahhahaaa
WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!
😂😂😂
The fire extinguisher on the piano is hilarious
Classic music. Class act. This never gets old.
Better than the original.. who agrees?
No one
@@siswantoanto8427 63 people do so far
totally!
Most PMJ performances are better than the originals. Great arrangements. Great performances -- often with a wink.
@@katabaticair1 Exactly. No original is better than their covers
I love Cristina, she's my favorite one...
Дамы - великолепны, музыканты - замечательны, саксофонист - огонь! 🤩💥 Всё шикарно!
Хоть нормальный язык, без переводчика читать можно.
I heard this last night can’t stop listening and watching love it ❤❤

you should see her " fancy" video
i freakin' hate/love you
mostly love tho...
+Andrea Locatelli Yuck
So much brilliance and talent in one video!! A HUGE thanks for posting this and sharing it with us all!
I think, so far, from the songs I’ve seen, this song displays RAA the best.
Christina Gatti’s voice is so cool and she just looks like she’s having so much fun.
Ashley stroud is a hidden gem. She needs a song that features her.
But Robyn’s voice just sets me in awe.
you three beautiful ladies did amazing. knocked it out of the park.
Yes.
I so agree. Do you ladies have an alblum? Does your group have a name?
the best of PMJ's ladies. I miss all three of them
Great musicians, very correct and in perfect tune with the girls. As for the girls... WOW! Fantastic, exceptional singers, each with their own special timbre and personality. Their union represented the sum of their talents, that is, the total is three times the optimum. It's only unfortunate that they didn't all become a regular band, as it would be one of the best in the world.
wow!
These ladies are amazing!!!
What a gift!!! Please, watch and enjoy it!!!
Robyn 's voice is amazing.. they will come in Italy in the end of June in Milan.
The girl on the left definitely has the best voice and totally rocked this song!! 👍
That’s Cristina Gatti.
Indeed! Her voice matches the jukebox vibe of the performance.
it just keeps getting better wow
Robyn!!!
"it's fuckin lit"

This was the first PostmodernJukebox video that I'd ever seen. The day that it was posted, it popped up on my feed. Time flies. :)
I was thinking the same! This video is just hilarious tho..
Janie the Bunny Agreed. Really appreciate the comedic element.
Masterpiece ^^
I have goosebumps listening to these girls. Their voices are so beautiful.
