I love how they put this together. Puddles slowly shrinks into himself in this song and the facial expressions he uses makes him seem childlike and insecure. Haley popping out gives a lot of expression to the idealization of suicide and how robust and intimidating everyday life would be to Puddle's character.
You need to see his show. It’s an interesting emotional experience.

This is one of my favorite parts. Puddles is a great front singer, but he's also generous enough to let Haley take the spotlight and take over the mic. It makes the contrast between his smooth, silky tenor and her striking, smokier tones even stronger.

The opposite and conflicting emotional vibes given off by Haley and Puddles here are just amazing.

+SanaySK My thoughts exactly. All of my favorite songs on the channel are with Haley or Puddles. Having them both is awesome, though I think she outshined a little bit. It was cool to see him overcome his anxiety and get that close to another person, but he was still a little quiet, and aside from the first part he's barely audible against her voice.

I think I was most surprised by how well their two voices melded together. With her high pitch you could easily lose a deeper tone, yet you can tell easily when they are both singing. Prolly my favorite rendition of this song.
He has an amazing talent to entertain. If you have any question to this point, just check out some of his other videos. But let's not forget Haley's contribution to this song and video. She has one of the better sultry and sexy voices that can lead or follow any song.

To the people requesting a solo with Puddles, it seems like they missed part of the video description where Haley's kinda supposed to sound more upbeat and energetic than him... And probably missed the fact she very intentionally drops that boom for him to shine some more in the final verses yet is still along with him as a partner would. This IS a re-imagining of the song after all. Besides... He's got a ton of on-stage presence as is as a TALL sad clown with a whimsical crown. o3o
