Sorry I missed this live. Great game, the difference in your enjoyment of playing this and 40K is night and day. I feel more inclined to do pick up games with this than 40K from what I've seen and heard so far.

Appreciate it's the first live cast (only seeing it now!) but like the interface. For reference as Sylvaneth you start with a set of wyldwoods as faction terrain as well as being able to summon them to. For the woods you summon you can pick between 1-3 pieces, obviously you're not using teh 'officially overpriced plastic GW trees' so things vary but just for reference 🙂
You can shoot at enemy units in combat assuming you can shoot.
Yeah, great to see AoS especially with my Vampire boys in action.
Great report, might have been mentioned (sorry lots of comments) vampire lord should not have moved in opponents turn (its your turn only) also when Piling in you now cannot move out of combat with other units, so Arial would have been stuck in combat with the zombies
If you put the Everqueen on the tree (which you can and which you did) she can heal

The low down camera angle of you two and the board is the best. Should be the staple camera angle and then switch to above and action cameras from that. The low angle is perfick, guys!!! Rather than the higher angle
Fun game, smaller model count is a big plus for me. I like collecting lots of models, but not managing them on the tabletop. Great terrain as well, nice Old Worldy feel.
Keep up the AoS content, this was awesome and I just started so this was a huge help✨
Just so you know, it doesnt matter if her base is 6.3 inches. She needs to be wholly within 6" of the forest terrain, but you can measure the range from the edge of the forest, not the center, and her base can actually be partly inside the actual forest terrain. It would be easier to see if you used the plastic forest terrain GW suggest in the rules.
Adding to this, Alarielle can still get her full base in if she is positioned on the lower parts of the tree branches. They are counted as unstable and under 1" meaning she can stand the base on them completing the need to be w/within 6". :)

Thanks for the great game and for doing AoS. I started collecting and playing occasionally in 3rd and predict I’ll get a lot more games with it this edition. Was painting kurnoth while watching, so I’m sure that doesn’t colour who I rooted for :) I also kit bash FeC for my drukhari and love the look of spearhead game mode so I was going to pick up one and have most of a second army…. And then saw a 4k+ army for sale for about 45% of retail….. also went to my FLGs today to get AoS rules products and they said, here this sylvaneth spearhead box is damaged it’s 25% off…. More content to entertain me please as I slowly claw my way out of my mountain of new grey shame.

just took a look at the rules and The lady can only come back once not every time
"The replacement unit is otherwise treated as a new unit; any keywords
or abilities the original unit gained during the battle, and any persisting
effects that applied to it, do not apply to the replacement unit. Each unit
can only be replaced once, and you cannot replace replacement units"

This was such a fun game to watch, AoS 4 looks like a lot of fun. Excited for more games on the channel!

Spearhead isn't the same ruleset as AoS (though obviously its very similar). In Spearhead you pick at the start of the game. In AoS you pick at army list creation.
Awesome game! AoS is really underrated, it has saved our small gaming group when we all fell out of 40K

Timber does exist AoS, but only the giant Sons of Behemat get it which is a lot less amusing than if the trees got it.
when u measured the treelord ancient to be within a half inch I was like "aos is 3" melee, go bash her head in with a root staff!!!" but nope, charge is as u say a half inch despite combat range being 3" xD

Yes, you can do so unless there is another rule specifically preventing it. Like the non monster heros next to friendly units can’t be shot from outside 12”

Can't you easily get Areola wholly within 6" by just overlapping the base of the tree by 0.3" ? The proper GW woods have room for it as do (seemingly) your own.

Terrain notably does not count as a model. It is a separate thing you can end moves on. This means Alarielle's whole base can be within 6 of a piece of terrain underneath her base, probably most easily done with a 1 piece Awakened Wyldwood. This is possible despite it being unstable terrain, as parts of the terrain are less than an inch tall. Faction terrain pieces do, however, count as units in the charging and combat phases, meaning you can charge them and target them with attacks. Awakened Wyldwoods have 8, 10 or 12 health, depending on how many pieces they consist of.
Also, Forward to Victory must be declared before you make a charge roll in 4th. You can't react to failing a charge roll and reroll it.
Also, with the way damage allocation works (after an ability is resolved), Lauka Vai would not have gone down before Radukar was attacked. This would have reduced the rend on those attacks. Radukar also reduces both hit and wound rolls with his spell, not just hits. Oh, and Vampire Lords don't teleport in enemy movement phases.
Well you're going to be busy with the multiple games vs a rule edition for 40k play from all the games to Warhammer fantasy or 40k and why not in the 41st melena without skeleton Spector stuff with magic cast is just not playing and I'd like to see the tribes of necromunder taking on those cultists bugs and chaos to Astra militaria in different plays to Ark of omens space hulk to battle force???? OGW I'd be in on that......
