I agree with Riviera for the "unknown" resort. It is what I thought of before you said it. It looks like it is supposed to be the main part where the lobby entrance/carport is.
Ya, the more I think about it the more I grow convinced it has to be Riviera. I just super don't understand the palm trees then I guess haha
@@PixieDustPhD the real French Riviera as well as the resort both sport palm trees, so I can see why they might be included. I agree that I don't really think of them as a defining feature to warrant such inclusion, however.
I don't get anything in the mail, presumably because I am only a resale member, but I do get emails when I'm going on trips to stop by the DVC stations at my resort for a gift. It's always stickers, maybe a pin and always a nice sketch of a resort. I have two Rivs and one DLT. Fun and nice to interact with the DVC CMs. Good haul, Jacqueline!
Oh what? I've never gotten an email like that LOL. I think theyre email/mail system is so messed up. There are inconsistencies with me and Adam, as well as me and other people I've met via CZcams who also were resale members. So weird. But yes I do like talking to those CMs! They're always pretty fun. Mostly they seem bored and grateful to speak to someone who doesn't suck hahah
When i bought direct in 2015/2016/2017 i received a welcome gift for each contract. At that time they were giving bags the had the logo on the front for the gift. When i purchased another contract direct last year i received the same gift you did. the certificate has the date of my first DVC contract purchase. The water bottle is a definite keeper, love it.
OH so it's been the same gift for a WHILE then hahah. Well, glad it's a good one at least!
You can always put the magnet on your car. We actually visited our guide at the sales center last week and they have a small model of the DVC tower in the lobby that lights up. The tower looks like it’s coming along well. We saw the rooms inside were being worked on. But, still couldn’t get close to the tower. Couldn’t get any good views of the pool since the monorail was closed for refurb.
I thought the gift was okay. The first time I bought direct though I got a backpack. The sales office gave me pins which I think should have come with the welcome home package.
Glad you’ll use the bottle though. I have and it’s pretty nice.
Maybe this is a city thing, maybe it's a paranoid thing, but I try to keep my car as nondescript as possible lol. Plain. Don't notice me. Hooray.

Pins sounds so cute. Iiiii would take pins over a towel for sure. Backpack also seems nicer but also do I need anymore bags? Then again, do I need another water bottle?! LOL.
@@PixieDustPhD I see. It depends on where you live. We keep the magnet on the fridge. We have an old one on the car but it very subdued (white DVC magnet on a white car).
I have way too many water bottles from work. But, at least this one is a narrow neck.
Hi Jacqueline, just a couple days ago Natalie and I received the same welcome package. Natalie really likes the water bottle. We did notice, as well, that our certifcate had the date of our resale contract, instead of the direct contact date.
Did you say you and Adam each received your own package? Did they arrive on the same day? We just received one welcome package, I was wondering if we should have each received one?
Also, I like your fund raising for a good cause. On July 1st I did e-mail you a copy of the donation email from Feed the Fridge, just wanted to verify you received it.
You can disregard my last question, I saw you covered it in todays monthly creator update.
I mean I guess we did become "members" on the resale contract date... just makes it even more weird to only celebrate with gifts when we're full members but then back date it to resale LOL. And after filming I noticed the little emblem in the bottom of that certificate is for VDH. So. 2020 date for VDH? very funny haha
Yes we both got a package. I'm not sure if they arrived on exactly the same day (I don't check our package room every day), but definitely near each other. I think the entire email/mail system with DVC is messed up though. Before we even bought into our VDH contract I found out Adam sometimes got the membership magic emails (I never did). We sometimes get 0, 1, or 2 Disney Files sent to us. It's a whole thing. They don't know what they're doing. Can't hurt to ask your Guide though if you want a second water bottle!

They became cheap with the welcome gift, dissapointing.
