    I have finally subscribed, after watching many of your vlogs. Your content is always informative and you always present, with lots of enthusiasm.
    I have been going out to the US since 1979 and have now been 64 times. My mum moved out to St Augustine 35 years ago, so we have gone through the full family, who are now grown up, visiting Florida for many years.
    We have just returned after 16 days in Florida, which included Orlando, St Augustine, St Pete Beach and Cocoa Beach. We love St Pete Beach.
    It made me smile, when we picked our car up from Alamo and I switched the radio on to WMMO 98.9, which is my favourite channel and I think that you mentioned in one of your vlogs.
    Keep up the great work.
    Chris & Josie May

      Thank you for your lovely comment, and wow, you have been a lot of times. We absolutely loved St Augustine, and really want to stay again. Glad you are enjoying the videos, and thank you for subscribing 😊🤍

    We love our DVC contract. Best decision ever!
    We would love an airmails vlog, we are busy saving up and making our way to our second companion voucher 💪🏼 We haven’t used our air miles yet, so would love to hear how you go about booking with them too 😊

      We found best thing is to ring Virgin and discuss what flights best for you. We have just booked Prem Econ for flight out and upper class for flight home with our companion voucher. You still have to pay taxes remember do these are more than an economy seat.

      Regarding miles. To get an idea of what miles are needed, either go into Virgin Atlantic app or website, and choose some dates you are interested in, but rather than selecting ‘money’ choose ‘miles’ might be ‘points’ now? Should give you an idea of how many miles/points you will need. Some times of the year are double other times of year, so that’s worth knowing. It shod also say how many miles seats are available. Then we tend to call up and book… we’ll definitely look at getting a video recorded. 😊🤍

    We bought dvc last year and haven’t used the points yet but we are using three years worth in one go!!! One of the things we are doing is animal kingdom lodge with club concierge!!! I’m so excited. Also staying at the Poly, Grand Floridian and Saratoga springs lol. So, four different ones for this trip and there is no way we would have been able to do that. It’s been my dream to stay at the Polynesian since I was a child. So, it’s amazing. ❤😊

    Oh my god, I thought the same as Lisa, you need to be super rich for this and spend like £1000 a year. This is so interesting. Thank you for elaborating on this.

    Liked your vlog.
    We are looking into DVC at the min. Somethings are changing though. Some good and some bad. Disney don’t offer 50 year contracts anymore. Depending which properties are on sale the contract length can change. Riviera is currently 47 years and grand Floridian is only 43. This is Because Disney wants the contracts to all finish together with previous dvc sales at the resort. I’m sure the same will be had at the poly when they start selling near the end of the year for there new tower. So basically the only time a 50 year contract will happen if a new resort comes up or an older resort like key west reaches the end of its contracts.
    Also all new resorts and all referbs are bringing 2 bathrooms to 1 and 2 bed villas.

    • @AdeandLisa
      @AdeandLisa  Před rokem +1

      Oh that’s interesting to know.
      Having the 2 bathrooms really makes a difference. Sometimes they have the space I don’t know why they haven’t added the extra toilet.
      We stayed in OKW in a 1 bed. 2 big bathrooms but no toilet in the master.

      @azyndragon89 Před rokem

      This has always been the case. You just have to buy in at the time the resort opens. It's never been 50 years from when the contract is purchased, it's 50 years from when the resort opens. Which is why Disneyland Hotel's expires in 2074 which will be 50. Riviera opened late 2019, expiration is in 2070 and etc.

      Thank you for the reply we look forward to that vlog.. one other question if you don’t mind about dvc if you have point and they last for 50 years what happens to your point if you pass away? Can your family have them or does Disney just have them back ?
      Regards Terry.

      You can add other people to your contract, so if we wanted to add the children we could (as they are over 18) that way it would continue.

    Thank you so much for sharing your experience of DVC, it's very complicated but I think I understand it a bit better now, it's a shame it's all deluxe & not all Disney resorts though as younger children would prefer the value resorts I.e All Star resorts.
    A lot to think about but thanks again for all the info xxx

    Where is your home resort? Did you say it and I missed it? I think in previous episodes you said Copper Creek?
    Also, have you seen DVC Rental Store are offering point exchanges so you can swap DVC points for a Universal resort through them? I’ve never tried it, but heard about it on a podcast 😊
    I ❤ DVC and really need more points #addonitus

    • @AdeandLisa

    Also you didn’t mention that you can use your points to stay at loads of other Disney and non Disney resorts around the world. Also you can use your points towards cruises.

    • @AdeandLisa
      @AdeandLisa  Před rokem

      Yes, we were really just touching the surface on some points as for some it’s difficult to understand just how the Disney resorts part works, but yes it really is a lovely benefit having the choice of plenty of other places to stay. 😊

      Cool, can I ask on a typical year who many times and for how long do you stay at Disney for?
      Also how many points did you buy into?

    • @TheMagicInWonderland
      @TheMagicInWonderland Před rokem

      It’s worth always checking that it is worthwhile using points for those other things. Apparently it’s better to rent points out and use the cash. As you get more for your money.

    Andy just asked what happens to points you have paid for if you die, are they inherited by your kids? Morbid I know

    • @AdeandLisa
      @AdeandLisa  Před rokem

      Same as any property or anything else you own. You write it in your will. Now the kids are over 18 we can add them on to the contract which makes it easier.

  • @clairegillfamilyadventures863

    What happens when you nolonger wish to go before the 50 years is up? Can you give your dvc to your children?

    • @AdeandLisa
      @AdeandLisa  Před rokem +1

      You have choices. You can sell your points each year. You can sell your contract back to Disney. It can be transferred to someone else, but they need to be named on the contract. If Children are over 18 you can add them to the contract. If not added initially, they can be added at a later date. Used to be that had to be done in country, but not sure if that has changed. 😊

    If you buy resale and get a shorter contract do you get residential annual pass if buying resale from a resident

    • @PeterGreener-Jacklin
      @PeterGreener-Jacklin Před rokem

      Not sure but I know you loose all the discounts in the parks ect.

    • @TheKajones99
      @TheKajones99 Před rokem

      No you don't get the Florida resident access. Resale contracts aren't shorter they run to the end of the contract, same as buying an 'older' resort direct from Disney, just fewer years than a brand new resort like Riviera.
