Just bought a 2008 version in Germany, same shape. So bordering on 2009 model really. Hope it is as reliable as I have heard.

In this generation, the ESC ( electric stability control) is an optional equipment. How to tell if one fabia II was equipted with esc or not? Since the seller don`t know whether or not.

Can I get some advice? I’ve just bought a 12 reg mk2. I know people cry about the engines, is it worth paying 500 or so for warranty or just replace the engine if it comes to it? There’s 80k on the clock

£500 is expensive for a warranty on a Skoda Fabia, where are you based? Warranties should be a lot cheaper than £500 for that car. Just make sure the timing belt has been replaced if it has one, and its had a fresh new service and hopefully you should be all good
