Thanks for this video. Your method and instructions helped me out and now I'm feeling "Super Down" 👌
FYI, loosen the inner bolts on the inside of the lower arms otherwise you can tear the bush from forcing the lower arm down to get the spring out, requires getting a fresh wheel alignment but you will need one anyways from lowering the vehicle
Corolla looks beautiful 👍
This makes me want a Corolla 😍
Thank you a lot.
Had these a year ago. once you install and ride with them they will settle in and make the car look lower. D2 Coil-overs are next
I've just picked up a 2021 Corolla SE and I've been watching this video over and over and I like how the car turned out. With the stock rims it still look sick! It giving me some ideas. It's the RS-R Superdown right? I saw it in the last comment but I just want to make sure. Great job!🤙🏽👍🏽
Thanks for watching our video! We appreciate the support! Yes they are the RS-R Superdowns! @@Firm400 great video man might just do it also
Thanks for video.I know some thing new from it.
Where can I see more of this car in particular? I’m planning on getting an se manual, god willing!
Hey I need to replace my rear struts? Show do you take them off or is this the shock the only thing back there?
did you compress the front spring before you took them apart
does the 2020 toyota corolla LE have the same place for the spring?im just new to cars,i used to know the spring should be on the struts, hope you or someone can answer me,thank you
I have 18 inch wheels an I’m gonna get some rsr springs but would they fit the wheels ?
You guys didn't use the torque wrench to tighen your wheels?
Great video.. after watching this video i installed the springs rsr on my 2021 Corolla... I have a question for you guys...is it just me or someone else hear a popping noise in the front end everytime you turn the steering wheel left or right at very slow speed????
Thanks for the support Yamil. After the installation the springs dialed in and our customer hasn’t had any issues of whatsoever and is happy with the upgrade.
Hello Nic,
I saw your comment because I am looking to getting springs as well on my 2022 corolla, to your question, I think all corollas have that sound you are mentioning. I test drove the corolla from 3 different dealerships and it made the sound when turning slowly on the parking lot. Might be the wheel locking up but it most likely kills your doubt if the spring is whats causing the issue
When I search to buy SuperDowns, I'm only seeing springs for the Hatchback. Can the RSR superdowns be installed on the Corolla XSE Sedan version?
Since we installed these on the SE model, both the SE & XSE trim levels share the same specs with the addition of extra features offered with the XSE model. So with that being said the RSR Superdowns lowering springs should fit the XSE models as well.
La suspensión del Corolla se es igual a la del le ?
Does it scrape alot being that low?
I know this might be late but I appreciate it if you reply do you think they can fit onto a 2020 corolla LE model ?
As stated in our reply to Andrea’s question in the comment section the answer is yes these Springs should fit the 2020 Toyota Corolla LE model.
Did you tork the bolts to factory spec? I must of missed that part youtube expert.
No they do full power 😂😂😂
whats the update with the springs boss?
Do you only need to pay for the coil overs to lower this car or is a suspension also required after install of the coilovers?
The “suspension” upgrade on this Corolla are “lowering springs” which only dialed in at the manufactured height it is set at. For “suspension” upgrade with “coilovers” you can adjust the desired height level for coilovers.
can I know the torque specification?
Will it be ok to install lowering springs with stock shocks? i am considering coilovers if its a major issue
As long as the shocks are fine installing lowering springs should dial in properly with no issues. Our customer is happy with the suspension upgrade and has had no issues ever since. We highly recommend you consult with an experienced professional in suspension upgrades to inspect your vehicle’s suspension components if and when you decide to replace shocks and install lowering springs or Coilovers if you choose to do so.
I have a question after installing the springs did you have to align the car?
Yes, it is recommended to get a new wheel alignment
I have a question i put the megan springs to my 2020 toyota corolla sedan cvt but i feel like a vibration or a shaky from 10-25 miles i have 4 new tires and my car is align and everything but i still feeling that
Hey Raymond. We aren’t familiar with Megan suspension but was the rubber insert installed before mounting the spring? Not sure if that would be the case because the rubber insert would prevent any potential clunking noise but we do recommend to get it looked at by a professional mechanic.
nicee
What's the shop number to get these installed?
I use the same spring for my corolla, but it has a rattling sound on the rear spring when running 10-25kph in uneven road or going to a speed bump. What do you suggest?
Was the rubber insert installed before mounting the spring? You may have to get it looked at because the rubber insert would prevent any potential clunking noise.
@@Firm400 yeah, I saw that they installed the rubber at springs. The sound is not rattling but its like popping when in on a not so smooth road.
Hi! I wonder if these lowering springs will fit on a 2021 corola apex.
We don’t know to be honest. You can ask a local dealer. The apex model already has sport tuned suspension so we recommend to ask a Toyota dealer local to your area to confirm if the apex model is the same as the other models.
Yes , LE, SE, XSE, APEX and Hatchback are the same springs.
Im sold
i have a question, i want to maybe slightly lower mine as well but im afraid of scraping and impracticality, has yours given you any issues on anything with bumps or scraping? please give an honest answer im just curious
Hi thanks for watching our video. This was a customers car as the customer was happy with the overall installation. There hasn’t been any issues brought up by the customer. Aftermarket installations will always have its pros and cons. That’s why if you are on the fence about a suspension upgrade we would highly recommend you consult with a professional who can assist you in achieving the proper ride height that you desire and dial in the suspension the way you would want it. However there are a few key things you may have to consider and just know that everyday roads and driveways are never perfect so you’re going to have to accept the reality of it and be a more cautious and skilled driver when operating your vehicle that now has modified / aftermarket suspension. Keep in mind you have to now be more mindful on the road scanning ahead of potholes / road debris / uneven pavement / speed bumps / driveways etc. those now have to factor in if you decide to lower your vehicle.
Anyone know the torque specs?
Will these fit in a 2020 Toyota Corolla LE ? I’m guessing 🤔
Hi Andrea. Yes the RSR Springs should also fit the LE model. Thanks for checking our video! Appreciate the support!
Did you end up lowering it?? I’m thinking of lowering next year with a new set of wheels
Hey, i also have a 2020 Corolla LE did you end up buying the RSR springs?
@@juano.9280 not yet! Just picked up my new set up
235/40/18 on 18x9.5
Going to see how it looks then purchase the springs next week!
@@Music4Life299 nice, im planning on buying a set of av6 18 x 8.5 and the RSR down sus springs
Are this the springs the 1.50” or the 2” drop? Rsr down or rsr super down
RSR Super Down 1.50”
Will this make any difference on an apex addition?
The Apex edition has already dialed in sport-tuned suspension. Not sure how the Apex handles but you can ask a local dealer to give you more information or maybe a test drive. Our customer with the Corolla in this video was happy with the RSRs and notices more control and handling when driving on the road with the RSRs.
Hi guys, I’ve been looking for rs-r springs for corolla sedan. Couldn’t find one, does hatchback’s will fit on sedans?
Hey Optimized Prime! Thanks for watching our video. The customer had provided us the link to where they purchased the springs from as we replied to a previous comment on this post. If you click on the link more information on these springs will be provided. It does appear that these springs we had installed were for a hatchback and we installed them on a sedan with no issues ever since. The customer was happy with the install and they dialed in with no problems. These were purchased from Import Image Racing. Here is the link: www.importimageracing.com/products/t577s-rs-r-superdown-sus-lowering-springs-toyota-corolla-hatchback-2019?judgeme_review_source=ZXlKaGJHY2lPaUpJVXpJMU5pSjkuZXlKcWRXUm5aVzFsWDNKbGRtbGxkMTl6YjNWeVkyVWlPaUp0ZFd4MGFTMXlaWFpwWlhjaWZRLnc5dTViUkYzMXI5UWZLNFgwR0paNFQ2MnBFT0xEWXBlV2JXbF9QZVRobjA=&judgeme_token=1be58e7f-7fa1-4091-acad-5d26db28b9bb--3mqvgr9y&
Yes, because the suspension of the video is Super Down and the Super Down only comes for Hatchback. RS-R for Hatchback comes two Down and Super Down models. For the Sedan only comes Down.
Can you put the link to where you bought them and which exactly were the ones you bought?
This was purchased by the customer and we assisted them with the install. We can find out and will get back to you.
The customer got back to us and provided the link to where they purchased it from. These were purchased from Import Image Racing. Here is the link: www.importimageracing.com/products/t577s-rs-r-superdown-sus-lowering-springs-toyota-corolla-hatchback-2019?judgeme_review_source=ZXlKaGJHY2lPaUpJVXpJMU5pSjkuZXlKcWRXUm5aVzFsWDNKbGRtbGxkMTl6YjNWeVkyVWlPaUp0ZFd4MGFTMXlaWFpwWlhjaWZRLnc5dTViUkYzMXI5UWZLNFgwR0paNFQ2MnBFT0xEWXBlV2JXbF9QZVRobjA=&judgeme_token=1be58e7f-7fa1-4091-acad-5d26db28b9bb--3mqvgr9y&
Did you change the shocks or is it not needed?
Shocks weren’t changed for the installation and the customer have had no issues ever since.
It appears that RS-R only makes 1 option of lowering spring for the sedan. Can you possibly confirm the part #? I see this on their website. Part#: T027D
So the customer sent us over the link to where they purchased the springs and it appears that it is under a different part number and not the one you referenced to. On top of that, the link appears to state that it is for the hatch application however we installed the springs on a sedan model with no issues so these springs should fit hatch and will fit sedan models. Here’s the link: www.importimageracing.com/products/t577s-rs-r-superdown-sus-lowering-springs-toyota-corolla-hatchback-2019
@@Firm400 I do see that RSR makes a Sedan specific spring. RSR told me that the hatch has a different spring rate and shouldn’t be used for the Sedan just FYI from the manufacturer.
I asked my original question because I’ve seen people describing it as RSR super downs and wasn’t sure if there was different lowering height springs.
Can I install the hatchback lowering springs on the sedan le?
Hi Victor. Not familiar with the “hatchback lowering springs”, but if you have an LE Corolla sedan model, the RSR lowering springs will fit as we installed them on the SE model.
What brand are those rain guards and where you got them?
We’re not sure what brand they were as this was a customers car. We can find out and ask and will let you know.
Hi Edison the owner of the vehicle got back to us and provided us the link to the visors. Here is the link: Premium Black Trim Clip-on Window... www.amazon.com/dp/B091MFN325?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
🍦🍦🍦🍻
So do you need the spring compressor to take off the front OEM springs? But you can put the new ones on no problem using the method you did without using the compressor
I need this question answered lol
@@jahnortega2046yes you use a compressor for the stock springs and the new ones won’t need the compressor
What’s the window tint percentage??
This is a customers car. We did not install the tint. We only installed the lowering springs.
What about the factory warranty, I will lose if I lowered?, I have the same car but white with 15k miles
Maintenance guy at the dealer said they just won’t warranty your shocks if they get blown out. Which they probably will if you drive too long with the incorrect length damper.
I just bought a 24’ SE so I’m researching as well.
Any noise when turning at slow speed
Nothing as of yet since the test drive as the suspension dialed in. We also made sure that the rubber inserts were placed first along the mounting area prior to installing the springs to prevent any potential clunk noises. Customer was happy with the install. So far so good!
Are these downs or super downs?
@@CouGHeePiLot Hey Joshua those were the super downs.
what’s the drop on the springs ?
Thats Super Down and they drop 1.8" to 2"
Those downs or superdowns?
Super Down
Looks very nice but in Dominican Republic is a suicide to do something like that
🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚🍚
where can I find those window visors for my corolla?
Thanks For Watching!! Subscribe: czcams.com/users/firm400
Anyone have the link 😅 I can’t find them 🙏🏻tha ks
Sweet Jack brah....professional. Not so much. The torque wrench clicking is meant to tell you to stop tightening...not keep going 🤦♂️
Stock shocks begging to get replace
Great way to damage your stock shocks lol just buy coilovers stop being cheap
This is a Corolla nobody is buying 1500-2k coilovers for a Toyota. Stop being unrealistic
Like why do people add stuff on a car that it didn't come from the factory with. Which in long-term is going to damage the car in some shape form or fashion. The factory put the springs that it have on the car for drivability of the car not for it to be changed
Why are you bothering watching the video if this bothers you that much?! You must be fun at a party!! 🙄🙄🙄
What are you 4?
I will back up my comment after watching you take out the rear spring. If you are all about safety you would of put a chain from the control arm to the spring to keep it from shooting out and killing someone if you were worried about safety! Just because you put a video on youtube does not make you a expert so please don't tell people to not do this job on there own if you are going to display how to do it wrong!!!!
