Greatest entertainer of all time
What I like about Elvis songs every time he performs the song even in the 50s he would do it different and sing it different as well. That's not too easy to do, And also make it sound good every time.
I watch the Vegas version of this one way too often. 😌
You made my day today. Thank you. I’m
Smiling and ready to meet the world.
Wonderful! Thank you so much! 🙏
Do Trying To get To You this way. Original, 68 comeback, and later in 70s.
The wonderful thing about Elvis is that we got to watch him grow into a masterful artist and Elvis wasn't stuck I one genre. Most performers don't cross from gospel, R&B, rock, etc nor do they blend them. He had a God given gift no one will ever touch.❤
Excellent commentary and reaction. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said. One of a kind, indeed!!❤❤❤
Thank you kindly 🙏
Wonderful to watch him from beginning to the 70s ...... so much fun ...I was smiling from start to finish.... thank you Elvis for giving us so much joy and thank you Nick for your amazing reactions ....I always look forward to Elvis Sundays .
Thank you! 🙏
I, too, am
Partial to
The 70s. Especially the last couple
If years.
A little tired and road weary but reflective and his voice just became an absolute powerhouse.
Just thinking about the possibilities. What he might have done.
I love Paul McCartney too, but it’s just different.
I didn’t think it was possible to find one I hadn’t seen. I hadn’t seen the Ed Sullivan performance of this song. If I have it slipped.
So
Fun
Wow! That was good.
I’m with ya. I wondered about the Ed Sullivan one, too.
The king forever untouchable unmatchable never to be duplicated thanks nick super Sunday once again bravo well done 👍👑👑👑👍
Thank you!!🤩
Wow, it blows my mind that the first one shown is almost 70 years old!! 🤯🤯 Great reactions as usual, Nick!
Right?! Thank you 🤩
He's just sooo gorgeous and knew how to work an audience from the beginning but 1970 his voice is beautiful as is he, so hot he sizzles
Elvis honed his performance over time. The fairly green performer on the Dorsey show, kind of blowing around on the Sullivan show, and years later, the smooth Elvis in Vegas. I wonder if he would have been different if he had continued live 8:09 performing in the 60s? How would he have evolved? Regardless, he’s Elvis. No one like him ever again.
ELVIS FOREVER ❤
Morning from NY. Yes, Sullivan gave in because Milton Berle's ratings topped Sullivan's ratings thanks to Elvis, & being topped by anyone incensed Sullivan. I wasn't a screaming teenager. I was too intent on listening to his voice what he was doing. Something very extra special about him in 1970. It just may very well have been his peak. So true what you said about not seeing the growth from other performers as we saw w-Elvis. Thx, pleasant week ahead.
I fell under Elvis's spell in the 70s, so I also love TTWII and in that last performance he is in total control of everything/everybody. His musicianship was such that he rarely sang a song the same twice and I love this bluesy version of Heartbreak Hotel ❤
Another beeeutiful song w-"THAT VOICE." Not live but w-some beautiful photos for "How The Web Was Woven" at czcams.com/video/RQd3Es-Pl30/video.html. This album "That's The Way It Is" has some amazing work. The thing that always got me about his voice was that unique "up & down" thing he did w-certain words & is very noticeable in the powerful "Tomorrow Never Comes". I don't think I've ever heard anyone do anything like that -- it was so unique to him & anyone listening closely can easily pick it up. Thank you once again.
The ‘70 version from TTWII has a mature soul sound that only Elvis could do so well
Thanks for Elvis Sunday. I recently became an Elvis fan. I guess when I was younger, I didn’t realize how talented he was. Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to Elvis world! Endless rabbit hole, enjoy❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤! I totally agree with you! Elvis has it all!
Great song and especially love the TTWII version 💕💕
I totally agree with your assessment of the three performances and have nothing to add (!).
Of note, however, is the guitar player from the '70 performance, the great James Burton, is happily still with us.
🫶🏻👑He’s the only man that makes playing the air guitar look amazing!!! Love him 🥰 thanks for doing these videos, love them.
My pleasure!!
Thanks Nick, a great reaction. Yes, definitely see the progress Elvis made over the years. He was a brilliant artist, a master of his craft🎶🎵🎙❤️
What a wonderful reaction to Elvis's progression with Heartbreak Hotel. Yep, watching the master at work is always mindblowing ❤
Thank you and TCB! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Couldn't agree more! 🤩
♥️ 🔥 ♥️
I enjoy these Elvis comparison versions! Look forward to Elvis Sunday every week!
Elvis is so gorgeous thank you enjoyed this❤
The growth in his voice from the early versions of this song, to the final one you chose is remarkable. As you said, he was certainly a master of his craft. His performances got so much better as he aged. His voice was a lot smoother and richer than in his early years. The way he could change between the low register and the higher notes is an amazing talent. Loved the bluesy feel to the last clip. Thanks Nick. That compilation would have taken quite a bit of time to produce. Thanks for the time and effort you put into making these.
Thank you! 🙏
You've missed the one in the 68 "Comeback special" in the black leather. It was, again, different. Elvis continually changed. All were great!❤
He said he has seen '68 a lot.
Good morning Nick! It’s 7:00 am in the states (in this neck of the woods) and even though I watched this Sunday’s video awhile ago, it became necessary to resubscribe since I changed my email address to reflect not my daughter’s identity of tvkingston, but finally my own. I mentioned once some time ago that I was an electronic dinosaur and here’s further proof😛 but I really want to talk about Elvis since he, for me, remains such an intriguing subject. Heartbreak Hotel represents a great example, since he had been warned that his first song with RCA should not be this one; professional suicide they called it! We are told that producer, Steve Scholes literally laid down his head on his desk, filled with angst regarding these lyrics. Of course, the rest is history but the question has always persisted as to why a song dedicated to a dreary, haunted hotel filled with lost lovers should succeed so epically. I believe the answer lays with the affect that Elvis had on those who watched his various 1956 performances and who found themselves in a mental/emotional state similar to that of the lost lovers in his song. In essence, the hotel represented Elvis and the love-sick fans;his lost lovers trapped for eternity in his Heartbreak Hotel. Just my take. 😉 You make my Sundays Nick!💔
That’s awesome. Thank you so much for your kind words. 🙏
What a great way to celebrate your 70th "Elvis Sunday" Nick! Elvis's first gold record was for Heartbreak Hotel & it remains a classic to this day. Funny when you said "oh dear", I can just imagine how many parents of young girls would have been echoing that, of course at the time Elvis was touted as a "threat to the morals of the country". By the 70's Elvis was revered throughout the world, there will never be anyone like him again! Nick, your comments are always interesting & on point, well done once again, thank you! 👍😄
Thanks so much! 🙏
Love watching you react to Elvis, your the best Nick, just sad that Elvis did so many songs we won't see you react to them all, unless we all live to be 100 maybe.😂
Elvis did a medley of about 7 songs on the January 1957 Ed Sullivan show, and a few were short.
My favorite conserts are 68 comeback, 1970 Las Vegas and 1973 Aloha from Hawai, thank you Nick this was great
Elvis sunday day 😅 . You are one of a kind too!
Thank you!☀️💚
Aw, thank you!! 🙏
It was a very special day for me when Elvis did that '56 performance on Stage Show -- it was the day of my b'day, March 17th.
Fantastic!
Happy 70th Elvis reaction day!! I love the hat ☺️
Thank you!!
I love this song happy Sunday Nick and happy anniversary on the 70th
Thank you! 🙏
Brilliant commentary, well said comparing Elvis to other entertainers. Great comparison videos of Heartbreak Hotel. Thank you very much❤
I love this one. 💙. Thanks
I really enjoy watching these comparison videos of Elvis. My fav Heartbreak Hotel version is from the 68 C.B. stand up version. The sit down version is also fun when he loses the words. Yes you're right there's no one like him, he's one of a kind.
Love the ‘68 version!
FULL of sex appeal. Elvis had it all.
Hi, I just found this channel tonight. I’ve enjoyed a few reaction videos. I am a longtime Elvis fan! I remember where I was the day it was announced that he had passed away. It was a great shock!
Elvis Only two won 2 Grammys during his career. Both for gospel songs. Are you able to do a react to this one? It’s not a video as far as I can tell there’s only an audio version.
“He Touched Me" by Elvis Presley
Thank you. Will add to the list! 🙏
Aah just adore Elvis!! So sexy
React to How The Web Was Woven
You might be cool, but are you Elvis playing air guitar cool 😎
Haha! No one is! 😅
No one but Elvis could melt any gender into a puddle of goo with just the twitch of his shoulder. Sexy as hell but never vulgar. 👑⚡🎶
