- Summer is right around the corner and I wanted to bring in some Earth Tone colors with this Bloom. The composition on this one really is wonderful. I got some wonder shapes and lines and I"m really loving these colors.

Wow 😲 those earth tones are magnificent as is the blow out! Great job! Do you mix your paints with Flotrol? Be great to know as a beginner. Thank you very much ❤
All my mixtures for this are in the description box. 😀
My husband thinks it kind of looks like a lady dancing... I'm thinking more of a BEAUTIFUL Lions face with his flowing mane
I can see both lol. Thank you for watching and commenting 😀😀
I saw that right away!
What happens if you spin first, no blowing. And can you do this with liquid watercolor? I like it very much.
If you spin without blowing the cell activator won't spread out over the other colors all that much. It may move a bit but not much. I've never worked with water color but i'm inclined to think this wouldnt work with water color. You could certainly try. Remember, it's only paint. Experimentation is fun 😀😀
Beautiful work! I have a couple of questions - do you find that mixing brands (Arteza, Amsterdam, etc.), produces more cells? I found it seems to be the case but I wanted to run it by other artists. Also, can you pour over a varnished piece? I can’t find definitive answers on the web.
Thanks Brian, I really appreciate you sharing your art. ❤
thank you for your kind words, Alice. yes i do find certain paints will cell up better than others. That being said, cells form with the mixing and blowing of the paints. It's about the weight of the paints. That's just my opinion. Also, yes you can pour over a varnished painting but I would stand it down first. Probably wouldn't hurt to put 2 coats of gesso on it as well.
Jupiter me thinks 🤔
I like that 😀😀
SO I get the stick test. Are you checking that It’s the same all around, or how deep the middle is. And what’s too deep for the middle?
PS the painting is gorgeous, all of them are
thank you, Beth. sorry to get to your comment so late. I've been very buys flying for work. You are correct, I'm checking to see how much paint is in the middle of the canvas. All canvases with paint is going to sag a bit with the weight of the paint so after spinning i check to see how much paint is there in the center. When i dip the stick in the paint i don't want the paint to go up the stick too far. Maybe a 1/4 of an inch because i don't want to risk cracking.
@@bethhoss you're so sweet. Thank you 😀
@@Studio15Acrylics thank you ❤️❤️
I enjoy your paintings but please slow down the fly over. When you go too fast it is hard to see the details. This was a good one!
thank you and I'll try to remember that. My apologies 😀
You can adjust speed. I do it all the time. 😊
@@cynthiawest1962 so do I lol
Absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you, Judy 😀
