The countries need to be in one faction. Otherwise, every war is treated individually so they won't surrender all at once.
If you do this during the German Civil War they will all join the Axis and you can get them all if you time it correctly

Once the Roman Empire is restored there is no Challenge anymore. No resistance in many of the conquered territories like France and England, all of their factories, effectively unlimited manpower.

Suggestion:
Play as a random country and destroy 2 major factions of your choice.
If you start as part of a faction you must leave/disband that faction.
I'm ok with not invading Japan if you defeat Germany/Italy.
The point of the challenge is to see you improvise and make strategic decisions on the fly.
If you wanted, you could time yourself in real time to add some pressure.
Allies, Axis, Comintern, Neutral. Long ago, the four factions lived in harmony. Then everything changed when the Sky Italians attacked.
Wonder if anyone ever done vichy France (after Germany conquers them), comeback and Conquer Germany, Britain and Italy.

As someone who makes HOI4 video on yt, I'm actually surprised that he didn't know that basic game mechanic.

A few tips for quicker setup of collaboration governments: Once you get your 3rd spy don't spread them out but rather assign all of them to 1 city, this way the network grows quicker. At the moment you reach 50% network strength remove the 2 operatives and set the remaining one to maintain a silent network, so that he doesn't get captured. Set the operation for collab government to repeat itself once completed.
You are close to Canada, there is a tiny island underneath Newfoundland that belongs to France called St Pierre.

I believe you didn't get everyone in the peace conference at the beginning because they weren't in a faction together, France just guaranteed Yugo's independence.

Ahah a week ago i Was playing with italy my paratroopers arrived only in Paris and they were literally surrounded by 100 french divisions and the italian newspaper said: Today France in capitulated and there are big italian parades in paris city but the 1 italian division was still fighting against the 100 frenchs ahah...
Something about italy denouncing Belgian ideals after annexing like 5 countries just makes me feel so bad fr Belgium 😭

I was trying to do an italy run where i rushed with paratroopers. It worked for the first time but then i couldnt figure out why they werent dropping. Turns out it was a buf. Ty for letting us know
the major nation end war thing only counts for factions
I found a trick to make assigning the paratroopers less tedious. If you take all but one paratrooper and move them to a dummy division, set up all paradrops on the 1 unit division and them move all sepeates paratroopers back into the division, the game wil autodistribute the paratroopers over all available orders. Save you constantly selecting the next paratrooper between each drop point.

I just got finished watching the Germany world conquest and then I see this
Seeing that Italy is my favorite country to play in HOI4 I got very happy
I am used to having full war support as WELL as full stability, I then started playing Kaiserreich and played as the Dominion of Canada, then become the United Kingdom.
During this time I found out stability is a blessing and having -36% stability is not good for a country recovering from a civil war from the grasp of a government recovering from a civil war that took over from the broken remains of a World War/Great War.

P.S.: I would've gone for Austria once you had secured victory against the UK, along with Luxembourg, in order to form the Roman Empire without defeating Germany. That said, once you had UK, Germany's conquest was inevitable, it simply would have helped alleviate the manpower problem.

From the games that I have played, Australia never seems to put troops on tasmania, you can use this if you want to annex it.
You could always just fruitlessly invade a garrisoned area, you only need to take casualties due to them or take a small piece of territory from them.
