It was fitness that helped to pull me out of near death (not an exaggeration) as a result of the detox process, fitness that has factored greatly in my staying clean (12 years so far) and fitness that’s kept me hopeful after 12 surgeries. I wholeheartedly agree with the suggestion to go to the gym and hang out especially when feeling down or hopeless. Seeing others facing challenges and thriving at their own pace becomes addictive. Great vid!

Absolutely! Fitness isn't just about the workout; it's a lifestyle. The gym often feels like a second home, where we not only strengthen our bodies but also our minds and spirits. Couldn't agree more with the importance of companionship and community in this journey. Great insights!

Great interview! Thank you for getting into the team aspect of tackling goals as a couple, I often forget how important that is.

@@AttachmentAdam This interview definitely got my wheels turning :) I actually joined an 8 week weight loss strength training challenge for women over 40 recently... and I was trying to figure out if there was a way we (me and my husband) could do some of those weight workouts together. I usually do it in the garage and him at the gym. I also asked him today to learn east or west coast swing dance with me. Not sure if I'm trekking the right direction 😊😋 But it's a start and I found both of you speaking about your thoughts and ideas to be inspirational ❤️

11:38 i disagree on this...emotions like pain and grief come naturally when you are processing deep wounds or trauma, surpressing and running away from those is the opposite of being brave...facing and acknowledging negative emotions is necesarry for accepting what is, thus making possible transformation and growth. This is a very hard and long process that takes a lot of courage ..!
    Don't tell me a crying man isn't a man...!

Yes, facing and acknowledging emotions like pain and grief is crucial for growth and transformation. It takes courage to confront them rather than suppress them. This process involves standing up and taking action, not running away.
