  • In this Part 2 of Jessie Lee's journey through stage 4 colon cancer, I go into great detail about the negative experiences I had with various doctors and clinics. I was told by multiple doctors I only had months to live. I refused to accept that prognosis. Through friends and connections, I was able to find various alternative practices to aid me in my healing journey. I cannot begin to express my extreme gratitude for the people that have bent over backwards to help me along this journey!

I have watched her videos, have worked for a surgeon, and I am a cancer survivor. What I see is extreme denial, probably concern about short term chemo effects on her appearance (constant playing with her hair etc), and wishful thinking. These doctors were not "selling" her something; they wanted to extend her life. She must have been a difficult patient. What she should have done is post videos of the last few weeks of her life so people can judge for themselves. I think there would have been a stark contrast.. and it would have been more honest. Some of her story is suspect.

I started as stage 4 with rectal, colon, liver, bone and lung, today I'm NED. I had infusion today and I'm on my oral chemo too. I missed almost no work, I'm a registered nurse. My QOL is excellent. I really think that it's all about attitude and drive to live. Good luck on your journey and please don't be afraid of chemo. It's fine and totally worth it. I actually watched all her videos 2 weeks ago. I have friends who have had this type of cancer, and I follow two people with the same cancer on youtube. When she said the doctor told her without treatment she's be dead by October, I knew she would be, despite how good she may look 2 months before the 'expiration date'. Many cancer warriors look 'good' weeks before their death, and the comments always say 'but he/she looked so good 2 weeks ago, how can this be...". It be cancer. You could look the picture of health on the outside, but inside the disease is systematically destroying you. There are tons of these stories here on FB about the final months/weeks, and they often dont look like 'sick' people. Jessie Lee had a platform that I immediately recognized as toxic. She comes off as super confident, super in-control and she looks good, so I really believe there are many desperate people who made the same decisions based on what Jessie Lee portrayed in her videos. Sadly, it may be too late for the to reverse course and they may have a later stage disease now, or on their death bed as well. I do hope she rests in peace and it's a horrible thing for her to die so young.

Truth …. I myself suffer from a few rare diseases and struggle between holistic and western medicine.
I wish I did some things differently from the beginning … so now I do both western and holistic like I just came down with shingles I immediately sent a picture to my dr , started anti virals that minute , was in the office by 9 am the next morning.
I was right , it is shingles and because I found it and tackled it immediately it is contained in one small spot , day two it’s already crusting over and redness and swelling is gone .
I’m doing Natural protocol along with anti virals .
My point is … there’s so much information out here it’s really hard to make decisions on certain health issues . A minor procedure ruined my life so that trauma in of itself is hard .

I agree! It’s the patient’s choice what kind of treatment they wish to have or no treatment at all. My Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1997, had surgery and recurrence 5 months after surgery. Dad decided to try chemo to extend his life. It was his decision to make and we supported his right to make that decision. The chemo did not shrink his tumor and unfortunately, the chemo blew out his remaining lung and he passed away 5 months after starting chemo. His last chemo round was Gemzar and it was brutal. Personally, I think Dad might have lived longer without chemo. Lung cancer has a high mortality rate. I still miss Dad!

Here's all the holes poked in her story and why many people need to STOP following and listening to people such as her. She died because of her mistakes.
      - 2 weeks ago, she made a video claiming she’s healing herself with positive thinking.
      - She made a comment about how doctors told her without chemo she wouldnt see November.
      - She posted a few months ago about seeking treatment at MD Anderson and how, when the oncologist told her what she didn’t want to hear (she’d be “dead by October” without immediate and aggressive chemotherapy), she screamed and told him “I’m not normal” before storming out on day one of a scheduled five day treatment plan.
      - She went to a boutique Dr and then was mad that they charged her. Then was mad that it was hard to get into the regular medical system she had rejected. Then was mad that the regular medical system provided her with their standard of care. I do think our medical system is broken but she really can’t say much because she tried to play by her own rules.
      - She said something like she was doing a ‘routine full-body MRI,’ which is absurd. MRI is expensive and not routine
      - She refused to hold a phone to her head and wouldn’t use tampons or pads because of “chemicals" (yet she has tattoos, fillers)
      - If she had decided chemo wasn't worth it, then I would have respect for that. Quality of life over quantity of life. The problem was she genuinely thought she was curing herself with woowoo and promoted it all to her audience.
      - You can have cancer and if you don't have treatments, you can feel pretty normal right up until the end.

Now I'm sure her stress and non stop life didn't help , and she still talks about how she went hard in business even after ( doing coaching while in the hospital bed after a major surgery) .. so this whole hustle, money making, selling crap , holistic grifter junk isn't always the best route.

      @nicolesapphire3696 Před 11 měsíci +1

That is because the primary treatment for breast cancer is surgery. Not every breast cancer requires chemotherapy or radiation but lumpectomies are usually followed by radiation because of the chance of a few cancer cells remaining. The addition of chemotherapy and radiation are just to increase odds of survival, so even without chemo your daughter may have already had for example a 70% survival rate and chemo would increase it to 90%.

I just want to share an opinion as I do think this video provides a lot more context into your thoughts and decisions. First, I wish all the good health and recovery vibes to you ❤ I think it is totally ok to choose not to do chemo because of the quality of life (or for any reason). I think where some of the issues and criticism have come from is the language you use when talking about the disease and chemo. Someone else may have a totally different story and may live much longer with a fuller quality of life after chemo, but that's because each cancer journey is different. I truly wish the best for you and hope anyone enduring a similar situation makes the best, most well-educated decision for themselves.

The way you say this is saying she has to not say how she feels because someone else might feel different and it could hurt them…. She her opinion is less important then this person you think may be offended /make a bad decision… that is insane. This is legit the problem with every single things in the world today. How does this make sense to you? If you are that stupid you make medical decisions after one video on CZcams of someone you do not know… then that’s just natural selection doing us a favor at that point lol how do you think this world will keep going when we are constantly forced to protect others and then they wanna die when they realize life is so hard and they don’t understand because they’ve told their feelings rule the world…. You people will cause the collapse of civilization. You don’t see it. But you win. Nature rules this world and always will. Aka why cancer kills, it’s nature doing what it does. It’s the reason you are alive. It’s a dog eat dog eat, that’s real. No changing it.

My mother had Colon cancer and she had the surgery but not the chemo. It went to a lung and she had to have that part of the lung surgically removed, but she survived. I got the diagnoses 4 years later and had the chemo. Still cancer free after 17 years... My younger sister was diagnosed w/inflammatory breast cancer, which I was told is related to colon cancer. She didn't take the chemo and died several months later. But THAT cancer, at the time, had a very high mortality rate because of it's structure. It is not detected as a tumor. It lies in broken pieces all through the breast.

I totally relate to everything you went through with the oncologists. I am stage 4 MBC, and have yet to have a PET scan, was told it wasn't necessary that a bone scan and CT would suffice. I was stage 2 BC when I started 1 year ago this week. I have had to fight my oncologists the whole way. Their therapy didn't work as my tumor was endocrine resistant. By the time they figured it out I was stage 4. I changed oncologists but stayed at the same center (insurance). Second one was no better. I was going to try MD Anderson, but it sounds like they are all alike... just follow our program, don't question and if you don't like it go somewhere else. I have been looking into alternative therapies. Thanks for the info particularly on RGCC, that is new to me. I will look into it.

I suggest RGCC for your whole family and tell friends because just knowing what cancer you may be high risk for is amazing for preventive and early detection and then to have the knowledge of what chemotherapy and other medications will help save your life in the case of a diagnosis is just as life saving! Unfortunately you're fighting for your life and I pray you're a survivor. That being said I still recommend RGCC and because you're battling currently your insurance company shouldn't have issue in coverage.

How about all the people who died from colon cancer when they took chemo and followed their Dr's? Should they also be "a lesson learned of what not to do"? There are a lot of people who heal themselves naturally from various cancers. Watch your mouth. You are not all knowing and Jessie also did not claim to be. She was sharing her journey of what was working for her. And yes, I did say working because her tumor was shrinking and her lymph nodes were going back to normal. To find out you have stage 4 cancer is a hard journey to defeat. Don't make false claims about what "could have worked" when you also don't know.

I don’t think she was delusional. I think she was making choices that felt right for HER journey. I personally admire her strength to choose to live her best for a few months instead of suffering just to add days to her life. I do wish she would have taken a more mixed bag approach that included some type of chemo or stronger treatments along with her natural remedies. I can’t help but think if she would of had one doctor overseeing everything she was doing and monitoring her kidneys and other organs more closely then maybe she could have made it a little while longer. Regardless May she rest in peace now.

That’s just a horrible thing to say. She chose to fight on her terms and have quality of life while doing it. My father had cancer and went through a 14+ hour surgery then had radiation treatments (which were AWFUL on him) and on the evening of his last treatment (for that round) he came home and died (3 months and just shy of 3 weeks after surgery). From the time he started radiation to the time he died he suffered from the side effects of radiation. Honestly I wish he would have chosen a holistic path. His QUALITY of life would have been better without the nasty side effects of radiation.

Jessie, Sadly you aren’t here to thank in person but I want to speak my gratitude for helping us see the alternative routes. Those that are negative towards your choice of living with cancer are Not you and it’s Your choice what to put in or not to put in your body. Like you rightly said, it’s about quality of life too. Just because the medical professionals have a protocol doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. I have close family members who have refused chemo, had a kidney removed and lymph nodes, all through cancer and she is in her 3rd year free from the disease. She’s living her best life. Another had chemo for colon cancer after the usual operations and had to put a stop to it. It made her have no quality of life, she was extremely sick from it. She sandfly past away within six months after stopping treatment but her quality of life had started to improve. She knew she would pass but she wanted quality of life. It’s up to the individuals and I believe they are courageous. They accepted their fait some beat it and others not but who wants to go through all the medical procedures and medications to often get so sick and live their last months being sick and in pain! Ok don’t come for me please. It’s my opinion. Jessie, you were a warrior and may you Rest in Peace Beautiful 💜

Just so everyone knows stage 4 cancer means it’s terminal. Even with ALL the treatments. You’re a miracle if you make it 5 years, which almost none do.. those things only extend life for weeks/months and you’re in a lot of pain of that time. And spend most of it in the hospital. So either way she was going down. 😢

I cannot fathom for the life of me why anyone who has watched someone go through chemo and radiation, particularly with a stage 4 cancer, would have anything negative to say about someone who chooses not to. Cancer has been rampant in my family. I watched my mother, who had extensive small cell lung cancer, suffer so much due to the effects of chemo for 18 months. She fought so hard, but it destroyed her. Never could I ever fault someone for not going that route and choosing to live and die in their own terms.🙏🏼

The cancer weakens your immune system to the point that a common cold or in her case kidney infection lead to her final decline… but she absolutely died of cancer. There aren’t many people out there dying of kidney infections. Sorry. And if you think her plan was to
Naturally die on her terms in a shorter time then they actually estimated, than that’s not my read on the situation. Stage 4 colon cancer is incurable, she was gonna die anyway so... she chose to live her last months her way and that's totally fine. I don't get why people are hating on her, it's not like the doctors could save her. They told her that a bunch of harsh treatments could maybe give her more time, but she said no, thanks. And that's a totally respectable choice. She never told anyone to follow her lead, in fact she kept saying it was her personal decision. I've seen a lot of people get all the treatments and spend their last months in misery only to die anyway. Everyone should just mind their own business and not judge, there's no right or wrong way to go about something so tragic.
