Redesigning a Family Treasure || ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

Our friend, Lisa, recently cleared out her parents' home. There was one piece of furniture she wanted to keep and asked me to restyle it to better suit her style and home furnishings. She gave me free rein and I ran with it.
I painted it, added new feet and glazed the piece to both eliminate the prominence of knots in the wood and to create a darker wood tone.
I had some exciting discoveries along the way, or "happy accidents" as Bob Ross would say. I was thrilled with the outcome - and she was too. Her response was one of the highlights of my furniture enterprise. You'll see her reaction here.
