Thrifting & High End DIY Dupes|| Using Paintable Wallpaper
It was great fun thrifting with Shannon Wilcox of Black Sheep House. We were able to find a few items that we restyled to resemble inspiration pieces we found online - for just pennies on the dollar.
Shannon's transformations are amazing as usual! See her video of our shenanigans and her dupes here: czcams.com/video/KOdumIhHKVs/video.html

I HAD to get t his three-pice set. I kew the details on the top drawers would look amazing painted. BUT THEY WERE PLASTIC! And the tops were lamnate. But no worries. They can be painted, too, for a very high end look. And ... AND ... I build new bases for the first time. Woot woot! It only took two years to get the courage to do it. Painting Furniture White

"Knotty" pine, a broken dresser and many different personalities were in Halina's eclectic group of furniture and I was commissioned to grant her wish of an all-white bedroom as she prepared to move to a new home. I bought a dark, flat-faced side table at Goodwill for $15. Two weeks later I found another side table at a thrift store for $46. This one was lighter in color and had beveled trim around each drawer. The kn...

From ugly hinges, unstable legs, key-less locks and knots and dents galore, this ugly duckling was transformed into a beautiful, functional "closet." This was such a fun restyle. OK...but only cuz you asked for us to "give us your thoughts" 😉....... The vase's texture after your technique is spot on. But I'm certain you could have found a better replica of the shape like your inspiration photo. I'd have just kept looking for a better vase to make over. Lane cedar chest was a nice redo. Nicely done. The dark coffee table. Nice you found a very similar knock-off look table 👍 But honestly did the end look all that different than the before? I realize she sanded to get out any scratches so I guess it was a good idea to do a little reno on it. Now....IF you were going to sell these pieces (and I suspect you are) how much labor cost do you add to your cost of materials (item + paint etc)?

Yes, mine didn’t have a jewelry tray. The dividers, however, were removable like yours. I find it interesting and puzzling why they would be added to one obscure drawer. This one was the bottom or almost bottom drawer. What do you think those dividers were for? Sweaters, undergarments?
