      I think the fight will look very much like the second fight. Whether Golovkin gets a fair shake, that's the question. I guess we should first see how he looks against Murata. If he looks like the same guy we know him as, then I think we get a competitive fight that will look a lot like his second fight with Canelo.

    So Sanchez says he feels like GGG won the two fights but right after the second fight he said Canelo won. That's why Ggg fired him.

      joe... U Are ABOSLUTELY correct. 1st fight wasnt that close( Ive seen that fight 4x ...had it 8-4 Gennady.
      .THat GGG won it on his dominant jab isnt his fault...Hearns was beating Leonard in 1st fight ..."you're blowin it son" strictly on his great jab, before it fell apart.
      GGG in 2nd fight dropped 5-6 of first rounds and then won EVERY round from 6 on...but the $ spoke.
      He has no chance here...he s OLD and would need a DOMINANT performance replete w KnockdownS to win a decision against corporate CA and all the $ he brings.

    I had ggg winning the 1st fight on points but even in that fight canelo landed the bigger shots that impressed me more. The 2nd fight definitely had canelo winning

    Listen to Abel: "We won both fights against Canelo." Teddy Atlas had Golovkin winning both fights, so did Howard Lederman, so did Pauli Maginali, and 90% of the media! Do not fool yourselves, GGG won both fights against Canelo! And by the way, not once, I repeat, not once, was GGG's back against the ropes in that second fight. On the contrary, it was Canelo who was against the ropes at times in the las few rounds. So much for the false narrative that Canelo was pushing Golovkin backwards throughout the fight. The fact is that GGG kept the fight largely at the center of the ring.

    In two of the three fights with Banks--against Rolls and Szeremeta--GGG threw a lot of body punches. He didn't cut off the ring as he used to, but he did throw more body punches than he did in his last fights with Abel.

    I have to agree with abel. Sometimes judges and us fans think a fighter that goes back is losing when he usually goes forward. Crowd reactions don’t help either. I’ve always had the first fight for GGG. The second was a draw but I could see why people would give it to canelo

      Thank you someone that understands that just because you got a certain scorecard doesn’t mean it should be the way the fight goes. For me it was the complete opposite, I scored a draw in the first fight but I could see why people gave it to Golovkin. Second I gave it to Canelo.

    GGG won the first fight for sure but Canelo won the second. If Golovkin wants to win he should do it as a brawl to get the victory so boxing Canelo is not a good strategy.

      As a fan, and since they’re both punchers, you want to see GGG and Canelo run it back until someone gets KO’d.
      I also think Benavidez can easily have problems with Lemieux if Lemieux connects just once.

      @@FlaThunderstorm Yeah when Lemieux fought Tapia, Rosado, and Curtis Stevens, he started connecting and you can hear the sound his punches make with both hands. Sometimes, like with Golovkin and Saunders, he’s not able to connect. He doesn’t feint very well or move his head getting inside. He’ll get his head snapped back a lot with straight punches and jabs.

    Just my impression : I think the way Golovkin fought in the second fight was his best option to answer the pressure Canelo brought to him. It seemed to me as if he tried to stay at the center of the ring but he was forced to back up and box. Before the 10th round Canelo had the upperhand to me.

      @@derrickgervin1060 nah he didnt win the first one. check out floyd gym channel on youtube and joe rogans podcast with mike tyson, they all had canelo winning the first fight and I agree. i rather listen to professional athletes opinions rather than clueless fans. You look at jabs landed on cumpobox and prob think ggg outlanded him but thats not the case, canelo outlanded ggg to the body landed more combinations and threw more power punches and overall made ggg miss his jabs. if you look closely, ggg jab hits gloves meaning that point wont count. at the end of the day it was a draw i could have seen it go to canelo or ggg tbh bc it was a very close fight but in my opinion and many other pros had canelo win at least 7-5 easy

    Abel is trying to make excuses after the fact but GGG was beaten by the standards his team put forth. Even Abel told him he was losing in the corner and afterward said Canelo did what he needed to while praising the judges. You don't hear trainers make that kind of concession unless they themselves feel their fighter loss in the moment. Abel is now even trying to claim that neither landed body punches lol when GGG only landed in the single digits for the entire fight whereas Canelo was banking them every round and was some of the best work by either fighter.

      How is he "making excuses" when he even was given the chance to do that in this interview. When they asked if it was just because he was getting older. He said no.     GGG beat Canelo both times. Remember Canelo tried to age him out and made him wait 2 years (GGG already old at that time), but GGG had enough both times to win. The second fight was closer but he beat Canelo and hurt him twice. Now GGG at 40 is well past his prime so Canelo should win this but I think its gonna be a hard fight but Canelo wins legitimately this time.

    As much as I'd like to see a third fight, the fact is that GGG is 40+ now and age is not your friend in combat sports or any sport for that matter. Canelo has a huge advantage being so much younger and that advantage increases by the day. For GGG long-term health I hope this 3rd fight doesn't happen - it's no longer a fair contest with Canelo at his peak and GGG now past his peak. If GGG were 5 years younger then by all means a 3rd fight would be awesome.

    Abel of all people should be aware that GGG was extremely ill for the Derevyanchenko fight. Which he won, BTW, by a correct and non-corrupt UD (watch: czcams.com/video/GYAXlboK27w/video.html ) Much sicker than he was vs. Rosado, and against a far better fighter. Look at how uncomfortable GGG looked during the prefight introductions.

      They both want be like Mike Tyson,both want to knock each one out from the start.I never saw Canelo loosing to GGG,at the most a tie on the first fight on the second Canelo took it.Canelo progressed thru each fight and the opposite for GGG.GGG might still look strong upper body wise but his legs have never been quick or strong and our lower extremities is what wears down,so if canelo just plains forgets on the power,jabs and moves he should win by a big margin.As far as lossing to the Caban and the puerto Rican,that's just seen those fights with the heart.While the first and lost loses on his record,those even a blind person could see that.

    If boxing judges cannot tell the difference between a boxing match and a brawl then they should not be judging boxing matches. They are supposed to be experts in knowing what all the scoring criteria are and in which order. In both fights using that criteria, GGG won.

      I agree the first fight was a draw. the second fight was great, GGG is not someone who easily backs off after eating big punches from his previous fights. With Canelo he really felt the power of Canelo's punches and those deadly hooks and rib shhots. he basically started backing off after being constantly pressed and severely hit with those brutal hits. The third fight will be devastating and GGG will definitely be KO'd by Canelo.

    While he makes some valid points there are some fighters, Canelo being one of them, you will not walk down and beat up like Golovkin has done with inferior opponents and also a lot a lot of fighters punch output drops when they face Canelo.

    Totally agree with Mr. Sanchez. I watched the GGG vs Canelo 6 times and every time I see that GGG won the first fight no question whatsoever. GGG beat Canelo with a larger margin than when Tyson Fury beat Deontay Wilder the first time and was given a controversial draw. I believe that these fights were more about money than awarding the winner his due...

    The way I see it , both fighters are great , but they peaked at different times .
    In fight 1 ggg held the upper hand as a more seasoned fighter at 160 , should have got that decision, second fight it was more even through ggg ageing and canelo maturing . If there is a 3rd , canelo will bust him up , he is a different fighter now compared to fight 1 , and ggg is considerably older .

    I do have to say I think Abel is still a little hurt that GGG left him snd that explains some of his comments. GGG has always jabbed…about 3 x more than any other MW I believe so to act like he just started jabbing in the second fight is a bit strange. In truth, the 2nd Canelo fight was different because Canelo realized that he couldn’t box GGG and had to fight him. At that level the margins are so narrow it’s going to be a close fight with 2 guys going at it.

      @@crod3219 We might be going off a different definition of “box” here….To me Canelo was trying to be slick, move around a lot and hit and not be hit in the first fight…didn’t work at all. The second he wasn’t really doing that at all…he just went forward and held his ground much better, which meant exchanging more and more output in punch volume. GGG didn’t really change his game plan at all from what I could see and I wouldn’t expect him to…it worked absolutely comprehensively in the first fight. Canelo did show exceptional durability though so credit to him for that.

    They both are top tier fighters with granite chin and unreal punching power. Unless GGG’s age has crept upon him even more, the third fight should be great whether GGG boxes, or fights with pressure because he has that hammering jab. Canelo even admitted that he needs more money to fight GGG. That just means GGG is a tough night out, even for Canelo.

    GGG hasn't been the same after losing to Canelo. Meanwhile Canelo is 10 times better than when he beat GGG in the rematch. A third fight would very dangerous to GGG's health although he would get a big pay day. The Triple Goon's can cry all they want but Canelo is, as of this comment, the p4p best fighter in the world today. GGG isn't even in the top 5 and possibly not even in the top 10.

    GGG has been steadily declining prior to him facing Canelo. He was never gifted with quick reflexes and now he has become a easy target to hit. Canelo and his team knew this before they fought him. They carefully waited until he was exposed by Kell Brook and Danny Jacobs. Those two fights gave them the confidence to get into the ring with him. And now after watching his last 2 fights , he appears to be a shell of himself. I believe canelo will definitely stop him in the next go around.

    The odds was always against GGG . He was never a marketable fighter even as good as he was in his prime.     🥱 i hear so much excuses. Ggg was this beast and monster and couldn't put Canelo away. His career has been somewhat padded. As soon as GGG stepped up to decent names his kos slowed down. Canelo is just the better all around fighter.

    Golovkin is very rare kind of fighter in these modern times, he's a true fighter who will fight anyone at any point in their career, boxing needs more fighters with this mentality or ot will continue to wane. Mayweather and more recently canelo have been great champions and have carried the torch for boxing, but they are both guilty of waiting for opponents to slow down or catching them out of shape, and there something very unsatisfying from a fan perspective about this.

    My opinion GGG won the 1st a close Draw the second fight but if I had to give it to one i would give it to GGG. Jabbed the shit out of Canelo. Now if GGG was the draw he would of won both. Now the 3rd will be a KO by Canelo.

      @@marcusbailey3988 Hes salty as f*** Sanchez is known from technical fighters to make a brawlers, he literally says go take punishment and try to land a shot, at best he's a conditioning coach, listen he's advices in a corner during the fights. When Usyk was beating Gasiev he was lost completely, didn't know what to advise, GGG left him because the only advice against Canelo he got was to go forward. GGG was knocking everyone out before him, but didn't improve technically much with Sanchez, even Teddy Atlas mentioned that the best thing for him was to change Coach.

    Overall I tend to agree. Since the Lemieux fight GGG got a bit too comfortable and reliant on the jab. I still think he won both fights tho. All that said, I think Abel is not giving Canelo enough credit: the second time he answered with pressure and that limited GGG's offense.

      G out jabbed nelo, both had cuts on their face. Nelo stood toe to toe with G in the first fight didn't back him up on ropes like G did to him in the first. Both are best boxers and gave treat to Boxing fans.

      You have to take into consideration that in the first fight canelo was moving up to fight ggg, who has never moved up or down in weight, he has fought at 160 lbs all of his career, golovkin was already use to fighting at that weight, and even then look at the first fight, every time canelo would throw punches ggg would back up, and golovkin had never done that before but he did that with canelo because he respected canelos power.
      Canelo has moved up and down challenging himself, that's why canelo is a GREAT fighter, how can you call ggg a great fighter when he has stayed in ONE weight class and keeps fighting garbage fighters, Except dervinchenko who BEAT ggg.

    As good as GGG is he isn't at his peak anymore while Canelo is in his prime even after losing the last fight.I think Canelo will definitely be looking for a stoppage win and will likely happen after the 10th round.
