Then Jenova could become a new evil force/calamity akin to how Chaos Rings have Qualia (also Square Enix's game with multi-verse) as a threat to force former adversaries to join up (simply to survive if anything). I'd be all for it, more FF7 content is good 👀
We just got legally playable Adult Seph in Ever Crisis with his own story chapter. That's a dream come true, and last scene shows Edge Of Creation - where Seph thinking about his past. That's a giant change to the story, because old compilation material mentioned Seph intentionally discarding his memories and comrades. Whatever Edge Of Creation Seph is, the potential is there for completely new content. Considering Seph is legally unlockable for VR in Rebirth, FF7 players eating unbelievably good these days.
Thanks! This time I decided to try out attack involving black feathers, something completely new Seph never used before 7R. Also I digged up some Jess & as you can see she doesn't even shoot enemies, just standing there lol Usually Barret is around making noices & effects, also whispers are there to cover up, but with a correct angle it is easy to see Barret is a traitor, he didn't give poor Jess any ammo at all. Its funny how the animations show. Sephiroth is holding back into the extreme, his moves are intentionally slow and he leaves himself wide open to allow the party who is still weak to even put a scratch on him. Meanwhile Weiss is fighting seriously, but clearly also not giving it his all (being a program and all) its likely just him "doing his best" rather then giving his all.
Sephiroth so far is the only legit party member in FF series that is cannot be defeated in gameplay at all, and it not just once event battle or something. I think this alone is enough of a proof of his "strongest of FF7" status. Weiss is a boss that cannot be defeated legally during the first fight in DoC, unless you hack the game either. So I'd say they are pretty equal about being OP in their respective games.
I think that it's bad match up for Weiss without his Omega form, Seph on the other hand now have countless tricks up his sleeve even without angelic transformation 😆

I kinda doubt they would get along, as there's only one throne and one ruler. Current Seph already broken through his destiny by defeating Cloud in the final battle. For Weiss we only have gameplay addition so far, his and Nero's roles are same (Nero did his job well, dealing with two intruders). Question is do Nero and Weiss know what's happening, like Seph/Aerith do? Will they try to make own story like Seph tried in the first game? Cause then clash with Sephiroth for em is inevitable.

Sephiroth have a block, which is very similar to player one (for example I'm using it here czcams.com/video/5s_rK4uwE2A/video.html ). Weiss have no block at all. But both of these guys like most modern game bosses heavily based on anti-staggering. As for spells, none of these guys have any akin to what player uses. Weiss have no magic at all. Seph have special unique to him spells, which are skill type actions (including no cast versions of commands like Firaga).
Where can this mod be downloaded? I did try out the Cheat Engine which allowed you to switch out the characters but they wouldn't follow the player and would get stuck.In your videos you have the villains and they do follow the player?
Playable party and bosses are two different things. So of course you can't play as bosses same way as playable characters. You need to change unit and manually assign actions to custom buttons using hot key function of Cheat Engine - your own configuration. NPCs won't respond to player buttons. I edit the game through memory browser without any tables. There is nothing to download.
Maybe Red 13 supposed to be a proper party member and therefore available during battle against Weiss, hence bigger hit boxes. Or it's FromSoftware syndrome lol
Hello, thanks! I do not have any tools to make cut scenes. I control bosses using memory (RAM) editing and thus using data that exist within the game. Weiss is amazing character and it'd be awesome to make custom battle with a cut scene about him brutally slaughtering protagonists (like Seph can do a stage fatality on Zack The Puppy in CC), but I don't know any public tools to create such event 🤷♀

People don't give Weiss enough credit. Even this digital copy has a party wipe move, which if you fail to stop just has him casually one shot Cloud and gang. It shows that the man is hardly trying during the actual fight. Lore-wise, this guy wiped the floor with the other Tsviets with his bare hands, people that could go toe to toe with Cloud like Rosso did for a bit. Granted that wasn't exactly a deathmatch, but the woman was the one who kept Cloud busy, the guy who bested Sephiroth. I still think Sephiroth would win, be it both normal forms of their Angel/Omega states, but I'd say Weiss is only a sliver off from Sephy himself. He could probably win a few matches out of a ten set, as this guy is just as much of a monster. No protag buffs in this fight, he'd be the first match Sephiroth faced. Incredible mod, my man. I'd love to see you give Weiss more HP to see these two duke it even more. This is a cutscene battle I've been wanting to see since Dirge.

Just as them both have cut scene game over skills in 7Re (albeit Weiss's can be reduced by a barrier). Well, I'd not be surprised if something like that will happen, story may take completely different turn now, although I bet new characters from Compilation materials will appear instead of Weiss (we have many of those). Sephiroth vs Weiss who would win, well being that both are basically equal in power it might be a draw but sephiroth might come out on top. The reason is cause he was born with that incredible power while Weiss was not, sephiroth also has a slight advantage cause Weiss just goes all out in beginning while sephiroth strategizes his movements. But who knows lol
Unless Weiss have Omega as his power source, this pretty easy victory for Sephiroth, who now have countless skills even without angelic forms. It's funny how Weiss can be knocked down like player characters & other human opponents, while Sephiroth continue to stand/crouch, but never falls down no matter what :-D
Weiss looks like he could take apart Cloud and other SOLIDERs, but Sephrioth is different. I remember Nojima saying that in the world of FF7 Sephrioth is the strongest, there is no other. So while it looks like Weiss could stand a chance, because of the lore of the world, Sephrioth is unmatchable.
Post nibelheim seph easily wins this, but pre nibelheim sephi is most likely to lose, he was bested by elfe in battle which was in the same position as weiss, a host to a summon.

I'd agree that SOLDIER Seph vs Weiss would be interesting. I think this vid is a pretty accurate representation of how things would go with Seph at his best vs Weiss at his best. It's pretty telling. Sephiroth is purposely portrayed as holding back immensely. Weiss isn't shown that way even though we know he's more powerful than his fight would suggest.

Hojo is amazing character too, and Seph is still officially the strongest. Now he is godly being forging a history. He legit defeated Cloud and won in this game. Vincent was enough to beat Omega. If Seph going full god mode, nothing will stand a chance.
Stats are easily configurable, so you can make enemies deal 0 damage too. Although in case of Seph, it's canonically correct, his party member version was immune to any attack.

Well that reminds me once more, in OG7 game skips battle part during the Nibel Flashback, but you can go back and there are fully working random encounters when you have Seph in party. So basically material for a full fledged chapter during Nibel memories is already there, huge potential without a doubt.
Arguably old Seph would have pretty equal battle prowess, a little higher due to experience. Current Seph in the remake is beyond OP. Although we don't know much about remake Weiss yet 🤔💭

What other characters player can select in FF16? This fact alone makes FF16 worst in the franchise. That's example of a high quality game. I read the replies and found many character IDs, try writing EB0021_00 into PC0000_00 strings, nothing happened. what exactly is to be done here? There are dozen of them can be found, replacing some of them seem to do nothing.
When you make a scan on title screen after turning the game on, there will be like 30-60 results only. Check them manually, it's not many at all. You can't just write bigger sized letters instead of small ones, which I've mentioned. You can just rewrite for example Aerith with Barret, because same size. But to replace Cloud with Sephiroth you need to check results and their size, up to 4 bytes in the memory viewer around the name. You gotta set proper size for each and every letter you changing.

There really needs to be a block button mid spell execution. To see expert swordsmen being diced without blocking makes no sense.

Thanks! Sephiroth is strongest in 7, that's officially confirmed by devs. I'd say Cloud won't stand a chance against Seph, if the latter will ever decide to kill him for real, without any sentimental sh1t.
Weiss definitely needs more screen time, as he is amazing character, he also have unwinnable battle in DOC, so gameplay wise he is equal to Seph (who can't be killed as a guest party member). Just as them both have cut scene game over skills in 7Re (albeit Weiss's can be reduced by a barrier).

Well, I'd not be surprised if something like that will happen, story may take completely different turn now, although I bet new characters from Compilation materials will appear instead of Weiss (we have many of those). Truly unfortunate that Vince will end up as NPC, gladly would use him and Cid instead of any Tifa/Yuffie/Aerith.
PS. We already got officially available Sephiroth VS Sephiroth in Ever Crisis btw, maybe Weiss will appear there someday...

It is not the only skill where Seph is flying around. He now have new black feathers attack. Divine Proclamation is a simple skill, but meteor is summoned through a cutscene, not by using a skill.

Sephiroth vs Weiss who would win, well being that both are basically equal in power it might be a draw but sephiroth might come out on top.
The reason is cause he was born with that incredible power while Weiss was not, sephiroth also has a slight advantage cause Weiss just goes all out in beginning while sephiroth strategizes his movements.

Unless Weiss have Omega as his power source, this pretty easy victory for Sephiroth, who now have countless skills even without angelic forms. It's funny how Weiss can be knocked down like player characters & other human opponents, while Sephiroth continue to stand/crouch, but never falls down no matter what :-D
Weiss looks like he could take apart Cloud and other SOLIDERs, but Sephrioth is different. I remember Nojima saying that in the world of FF7 Sephrioth is the strongest, there is no other.
So while it looks like Weiss could stand a chance, because of the lore of the world, Sephrioth is unmatchable.
Post nibelheim seph easily wins this, but pre nibelheim sephi is most likely to lose, he was bested by elfe in battle which was in the same position as weiss, a host to a summon.

Elfie decided to call the retreat because she perceived Sephiroth as a threat to her people. Sephiroth let them go because he was in doubt about whether he was right to be fighting for Shinra. I'd agree that SOLDIER Seph vs Weiss would be interesting. I think this vid is a pretty accurate representation of how things would go with Seph at his best vs Weiss at his best. It's pretty telling. Sephiroth is purposely portrayed as holding back immensely. Weiss isn't shown that way even though we know he's more powerful than his fight would suggest.
Yea, Felicia fought well against Seph in Before Crisis. She also hinted something about him lacking purpose overall, which changed post Nibel incident.

This is Hojo using Weiss’s body in a simulation. Not Weiss + Nero + Pure Life Stream + Omega Weapon.
Hojo is amazing character too, and Seph is still officially the strongest. Now he is godly being forging a history. He legit defeated Cloud and won in this game. Vincent was enough to beat Omega. If Seph going full god mode, nothing will stand a chance.

Stats are easily configurable, so you can make enemies deal 0 damage too. Although in case of Seph, it's canonically correct, his party member version was immune to any attack.

Well that reminds me once more, in OG7 game skips battle part during the Nibel Flashback, but you can go back and there are fully working random encounters when you have Seph in party. So basically material for a full fledged chapter during Nibel memories is already there, huge potential without a doubt.

Arguably old Seph would have pretty equal battle prowess, a little higher due to experience. Current Seph in the remake is beyond OP. Although we don't know much about remake Weiss yet 🤔💭

Compare it to any other FF - for example you don't like Squall/Cloud/Tidus/Vaan/Zidane/Cecil/Firion etc protags - you have other characters to select from. What other characters player can select in FF16? This fact alone makes FF16 worst in the franchise. FFXV had bad start up, but now it's amazing, you can control amazing villain Ardyn and enjoy killing trash protagonist Noctis.
You can play as Vergil and fight against Dante in DMC5. That's example of a high quality game.
Or am I supposed to care about retarded stuff like combo scores and leaderboards? lol Since amazing characters like Dion, Barnabas, Benedikta, Hugo, Sleipnir, Jill, Cid etc are all unplayable that makes game itself unplayable, I can watch it on CZcams.

I read the replies and found many character IDs, try writing EB0021_00 into PC0000_00 strings, nothing happened. what exactly is to be done here? There are dozen of them can be found, replacing some of them seem to do nothing.
When you make a scan on title screen after turning the game on, there will be like 30-60 results only. Check them manually, it's not many at all. You can't just write bigger sized letters instead of small ones, which I've mentioned. You can just rewrite for example Aerith with Barret, because same size. But to replace Cloud with Sephiroth you need to check results and their size, up to 4 bytes in the memory viewer around the name. You gotta set proper size for each and every letter you changing.

You cannot save that, it is not edit of the game's files, but memory. Anyone can be replaced with anyone, as long as you doing proper skills editing.
