I have this exact case in my office right now. Starting to get the rest of the parts. I’m doing an air cooled with white ‘be quiet!’ fans - no rgb. All white. Project Zero motherboard.
Hi ultravioletiris6241, sounds like an awesome build, I really did like the look of 'air cooled' in this case, you can't go wrong there...follow up when you're done, let me know how the "Project Zero" motherboard build goes in this case. PC building is awesome stuff, you can just pick and choose anything you want....it's all cool stuff...haha. Good Luck and have fun!! Thanks for watching!!!
@@HardwareArtisan Ive seen a couple other folks successfully use the project zero with this case, so I’m reasonably sure it will work. Now i just have to set a budget for the graphics card 😂
@@ultravioletiris6241hope you're build goes well, i bought a 3090ti used a couple weeks ago and seriously cpu limited on a 7700k so i ordered this case, strix z690, 13700k that'll be here monday
@@ultravioletiris6241 I was wondering about the project zero board too (because it's by far the most compelling board that'll fit in this case), seems to be compatible, I'm not sure why it's not officially supported
@@YuasBirds Im not sure either. Ive seen a reddit user successfully use it though, also seen a CZcamsr use it in a build video. It’s just a different and new assembly so keep that in mind
Best tower 300 review on the tube. You answer questions and show stuff that others are not showing or discussing. Thank You.
Just a bit of a tip, the black plastic clips that run the wires down the side of the case lock into place. I see in your vid highlighting the cable channels that you have them un-clipped as they would be when you place the wire. Just push the black end of the clip past the inside of the case and it will lock right into place.
Hi gomd3rd, Yes, you are correct, I had not clipped them in. Great tip for sure!!! Thanks for watching and your support!!!
Great and thorough coverage of the Tower 300. Thumbs up!
Very detailed video. I can't express how much I appreciate how detailed you went into the usability of the case was. It also really provided a detailed look at the quirks of the case. Keep it up
Thanks garetht1236, I'm happy you found this video helpful! Thanks your feedback and support....and for watching!!!
On remvable doors or panels like that, i likenusing extensions thatbrun up to the door so i can disconnect the fan at the extenderand fully remove thebdoor when servicing anything behind the door
Great video! Thanks for sharing
Thanks stephensullivan527, thanks for watching!
Starting my Tower 300 build today. Going the full custom watercooling route but probably stick with soft tubing for easier mantance. Should be a super fun build! Good vid thanks for showing some things others aren't like the left side cable clearance.
You answered what I was looking for. I’m gonna run a thermalright peerless assassin air cooler and was curious if it would fit and you answered that for me thank you sir. Great video and sweet build
Thanks ryanalbanese83, That peerless assassin looks amazing in my opinion for this case, great choice! I'm glad you found the video helpful! Have fun and thanks for watching!!!
Just finished up a build in this case a few weeks ago, overall i really like it, it is large for an itx build but it does fit a corsair h170i 420mm rad. I like vertical positioning but it wont fit under my desk hutch so i got the stand but im conflicted with it, i feel like it should be more upright and being sideways you lose a bit of access, only thing i feel they missed out on is fan mount rail on the left side by gpu but you can kinda mount fans to the cover.
I used the AsRock B650M Pro RS in this case (black) and I also think MATX looks better then Mini ITX
That's a sharp looking motherboard, I agree MATX on this particular case looks better, although I did (and still am) using a mini-itx in my tower 500 case, looks awesome there, for some reason, matx just fits better in this case, but that's opinion, haha. What do you think of the IO area of this case and that specific motherboard? Did you find it looked better than you expected? I'm just curious if everybody has the same reaction I did....
Thanks for watching!!
How noisy is that setup for you? I have to tone down fans quite a bit because it creates extreme levels of noise. Did you notice anything regarding GPU temperatures when having it upright or on the side?
I added 2 120 slim fans on the side where the GPU is and mine is also vertical so I added 2 120mm fans on the right end where the stand would be and looks clean. I put the those small triangle Corsair led in the inside of the case where the LCD would go and looks clean
Hi t00hrd64, that's awesome to hear, did you purchase a second fan/aio bracket to use on the left side? I hadn't considered using those triangles, I still have some in the closet! That's an "AWESOME" idea to use the triangles and they aren't that expensive these days. I'd love to see the build, send me a pic at andrew@hardwareartisan.com if you want...
Thanks for watching!!!
Hey bro I just bought the Thermaltake AH T600 but I don’t know how to build a computer, do you do full tutorials?
Curious the side mount 360 AIO, I was taught not to have the pipes at the top like that.
What are the odds of being able to squeeze an ATX motherboard in there? I realize I would have to make an adapter out of plastic for the standoffs and probably rotate it and use a GPU ribbon wire to connect the GPU stuff like that, but dimension wise, think it's possible?
Is there room for wifi antennas to stick out the back?
Looking for products similar to that Flashotron 3000 USB Drive
Any suggestions? Preferably I would like a white usb stick with those lights to go with my snow white build. Thanks!
Hi dbnpoldermans4120, I can't thing of any USB drives like that off hand. Another viewer mentioned they used the LC100 Triangles from Corsair. I have some those and don't know why it didn't try using them to spice up the look. But, check out the LC100 triangles from Corsair, those would surely be unique and look good I think.
Thanks for watching!!!
It looks a really clean system, can you provide a link to the flashercron(?) you mentioned in the video please?
Yes, my apologies, I totally forgot to put that in the description. I've added it! Thanks for pointing that out! Thanks for watching!!!
How were the temps when you had the fans on the AIO set for exhaust?
Hi doCtorBlahMan, I didn't see any massive difference when using the AIO fans as exhaust, I recorded a MAX cpu temp of 72.5 during cinebench on both setups, but your mileage will vary based on your configuration and setup. I need to chart those results in a better fashion next time, but I would recommend trying both setups in your build and see if makes a measurable difference. Let me know what you find and Thanks for Watching!!!
@@HardwareArtisan Thanks for replying!
I'm still gathering parts for my Tower 300 build. This will be a combo Workstation / Gaming Rig (white case with all jet black hardware & a soft touch of white lighting). My black Liquid Freezer III 360 just arrived the other day. Now, I just need the GPU. I'm trying to decide between XFX 7800 XT Black Edition & MSI RTX 4070 GXS (Black / Gunmetal Grey card). I'm going to have fun building this pc!
it's just the AIO position that bothered me.
i've watch this video of steve burke from gamer nexus about what's the best position of AIO,
could it be plug upside down with 360 AIO ?
some ppl install a 240 AIO so it can fit in proper size and position. but may be i can maximise it with 360
what do you think ?
Hi maruu.gaming, you will be fine with a 360mm aio in this case. As long as your pump isn't the highest part of the loop, it will be fine. I pointed out that it would be possible to get your aio on the bottom, which is not what you want. So just keep the tower 300 rotated so your aio is in the top position and you will be in good shape. ..good luck and have fun! Thanks for watching.
one thing to note which is not so much about the case but more about my GPU - i have a gigabyte rtx 3070 which when hanging in the horizontal config has some major thermal issues - when laid on its side in the horizontal position (using the stand) its fine - just in case anyone else is having similar problems
whoa i just know this issue, i'm planning to buy 3070 as well, may be i have to reconsider it,
is it just gigabyte or every brand ?
i can garanty, that plastic on any computer-enclosure will over time become a problem.
You said 9 fans. Is it 9 or 8?
Did I say 9? Oh man, I try to catch mistakes, but i'll have to rewatch it. It's 8....2 in top, 2 in rear, 3 on the right side and a single on PSU cover......Ok, you could also get fans on the left side, but thats not by design.
Thanks for clarifying! Thanks for watching!!
@@HardwareArtisan it happens to the best of us lol. You have it right at the end it’s at the beginning. Love your channel by the way!
That's a huge case for only micro ATX.
Why would I want a smaller case? You SFX people just judge everything by 1 single metric. What's you alternative - ugly meshilicious or meshroom?
@@cloudboogie A total failure to make a case the size of a double chamber but with the power going down instead of being as wide as regular cases where the power is on the bottom. Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini-Tower, Lian Li Q58W3, zalman p 30 for example are nice cases and still smaller than this one.
I don't see the point of going for a micro ATX board and then putting it in a case bigger than some mid tower cases. That's why would you want a smaller case.
no, here it makes no sense to have a case that large for only micro-atx! Is it possible to fit an ATX motherboard in that? If so, then I've nothing to complain about.@@cloudboogie
Idk, it looks cool. Thatsbreason enough for me, and arguably looks as cool as the tower 500
According to thermaltake themselves the project zero board won't work.....
Hi Dakota2146, thanks for information. I might have to just try it....I've been looking for a reason to give one a shot! I'm not sure there is much interest in using Project Zero boards, but fun is fun!
Thanks for the info and for watching!!!
Air coolers look ugly, this case looks better with an aio
Hi jasunlg, that's a fair point for sure. I personally did like the Air Cooler in this, but it's hard to beat the AIO with LCD screen. Thanks for watching!!!
People keep jabbering on about the USB slots and moan about connecting to them in this case. There's 2 right on the front plus a type c, there is literally NO reason to cry about the USB on the back of the motherboard. If you need constant access to the back USB then obviously this case isn't for you. The 3 up front are perfectly fine for 99% of users. Not sure why the tears but every reviewer is moaning about this single NON point.
Hi defaul_tm4886, I would totally agree with that point that if you need constant access to the rear USB ports, this isn't a great fit. No tears here, just when reviewing this particular case, it is of importance that users understand that may be a point of frustration depending on your desires. It's also an unusual look, one that which I actually find I liked, I'm a fan of it! But, for most of use, it is a NON point for sure. Great feedback! Thanks for watching!
