SMALL CORRECTION: Stench does not flinch in gen 4, whoops.
Night Slash critical is still something i have to play around so the strategy would probably be the same, but yea i played around something that didn't exist
I just saw that comment correcting you bruh
I was gonna comment it right now, I was surprised how that one flied by considering your immense knowledge.
I guess everyone can make mistakes
Imagine if you didn't know and then it screwed you. Better safe than sorry.
Never lets then know your next move
You have two rapidashes on your little team preview line during a part of the elite four. F for bronzong there
Edit: Glad it did comeback though and was the last one to survive. Imagine how less poetic this wouod be if mantyke survived?
No death was more emotional than the loss of the Sticky Barb.
A salute to the true MVP.
Loss of Piplup? 👍
Loss of Sticky Barb? 😭
@@justarandomdood starter cute penguin sucks, ball of glue and spikes is great
I mean, he just makes us feel all the deaths intended and casually says ‘sacrifice X to bring Y’ and this is also the first time (atleast for me) to see someone use sticky barb.
Which is why loss of sticky barb is definitely more emotional.
Freezai last nuzlocke: I will name my pokemon numbers, as they are simply tools to an end goal
Freezai this nuzlocke: I will name my pokemon after my patreons, for a different reason.
So basically he's sending his patreons to death lmao
@@jayconstell9937 katsken is the only one to live
@@enigmatic2878 yeah, pretty sure zeuspoof the Bidoof lived till the end as well because he used it as a Taunt slave and had to keep it alive.
Patrons are just numbers in his bank account.
Respect.
That Fling + Light Ball play was awesome. The creativity on display in these Nuzlockes is a joy to watch.
That made my brain explode
20:24 why lightball moment
I’ve seen it in a lot of challenge runs.
@@Begeru What other challenge runs?
"Getting back sticky barb" strats are on another level.
Can we talk about how insane that Gastly was? That thing OHKO’d so much throughout this run. Insane stuff.
Seriously. Look at gastly's stats. That thing is not normal lol
gastly is banned from little cup for good reason. 100 base special attack and 80 base speed is nutty on a basic pokemon.
@@Dragonboy1300 the only thing that kept it in check was pursuit
@@ImMcBruh Which doesn't exist in Gen 8. That's why it was instant banned in Gen 8 LC.
@@sekaihunter9378 seeing this discussion under a Freezai vid is super funny lol
“And no it’s not that edging” LMAO I’ve never laughed harder at a Pokémon vid
I swear I've never seen a Sucker Punch Geodude my whole life until this video, didn't know it could learn it through Move Tutor, great run as always!
Sucker Geo was very fun in Little Cup to catch people off guard. Have a Sturdy Geodude with Custap berry for priority-- get put to Sturdy but kill the attacker, then typically Earthquake the next thing too with priority they didn't expect, and then chip a third final thing (or kill, depending on what they brought in) with Sucker Punch was a highlight of some earlier gen LC games for me.
Seeing a Flying/Normal type against a Ghost/Ice type is a bit of a surprise
Would be useful to force an ice move.
Curious exactly what Freezai is going to do with it
havent gotten to that part yet but I assume to pp stall with bronzor to tank the ice moves and hoothoot for the ghost moves
Why does it outspeed at level 20?
trick room
@@priestesslucy3299 actually first thing I thought when I saw the hoothoot “I think it’s using foresight but why?”
This is the first time I've ever seen someone use foresight in pokemon.
Incredible video
Someone has not played gen 4 UU. Double ghost is a strat there due to foresight + rapid spin.
I used it in my own (regular) nuzlocke of Platinum, similarly to make sure I hit the Froslass.
Dude you're my favorite nuzlocker and these "without evolution" nuzlockes are the coolest thing I've ever seen done in a Pokemon game. The amount of in depth strategies you... Absolutely amazing stuff and very unique. I was the guy in the last nuzlocke video that asked if you'd do a Platinum one not sure if you seen the comment or not but so cool to see that you did this run!
He called it a "Little-locke."
2:58 this is probably the funniest and most unexpected thing I’ve ever heard in a Pokémon challenge run video, thank you for making me laugh
Ahhh, so we're just littlelocking all the gens to flex on everyone, now, aren't we?
The sticky barb strats were so clean and my favorite because of the level of difficulty. Not only do you have to plan taking a hit, you have to get hit by a contact move and THEN time it perfectly to kill the other mon with a physical move, if you're even one turn off you lose the sticky barb. You'd made it look easy
This is crazy, it’s like you planned every single battle out to completion!
I like how GameFreak did their best to up the difficulty in those games, but not once did they think to make the AI switch out when hit with something like Yawn or Ghost-type Curse.
RBY Agatha can be smarter than this on occasion.
It's a no-win for GameFreak lol. In PC's Level-1 Platinum run he abused the fact that the AI *does* switch on Perish Song to win a ton of the fights.
Furthermore, Freezai also used the fact that Pokémon switch on Perish Song to actually Perish Song the important Metagross instead of a less useful Pokémon.
Big brain strats as always. Also cool to see the Houndour name, until it became Sticky Barb strategy fodder 😂
this guy might just be the most creative nuzlocker on this platform, his strats are so cracked
Of course the Pokémon community would call a technique “edging”
Kinda impressive that breeding isn't called egging.
I like this video. No beginning “THIS IS CRAZY GUYS INSANE” just pure information and content.
That last fight was so cool. I love that you ended it on explosion. That geodude put in some work in that run
Can’t wait to watch Pokemon Challenge break down the pure gigachad-alphaness of this run.
Lost it at the Fling + Light Ball strat. Well done sir!
Can't wait for a Radical Red of this
Edit: Loving how your runs end up with only one pokemon surviving XD
Yeah love how he gets the maximum out of the little he has that feels just awesome
You would need insane luck for a radical red littlelocke
nuzlocke content on youtube has become so repetitive and uninspired recently, but you’ve breathed new life into it with more challenging and more interesting runs at a high level of play. these last few videos have been really good, i hope to see a gen 5 one soon as it’s my favourite gen :)
Really, really loving this littlelock series. I hope you'll do a littlelock in BW next. It should be fun as it has some really good 1st stage mons like Archen, Mienfoo, Scraggy, Pawniard, Ferroseed. And Eviolite should make things a little easier too.
I think Freezai would ban eviolite.
There'd also be things like gen V sturdy for pivoting, and since the E4/Ghetsis fights are at a pretty low level relative to other games champs it should make it a bit easier. Although I imagine having explosion and self-destruct only doing half as much damage will hurt certain strats.
@@LordIvul idk gen v had some nasty power creep
Foresight negating evasion was something I NEVER knew about. Something to keep in mind if they still have that effect in later games. Thank you very much.
Can't wait for Unova, with reusable TMs and, if you'll play the first games, all new pokemon
These Nuzlocke videos are sooo fun to watch! Apart from the obviously really cool Light Ball strategy, I liked the Imprison Bronzor beating its own evolution very much :D
and ponyta completely walling its evolution lol
The preparation for this run is massive. I just wiped on the E4 in my first full nuzlocke of Platinum. So seeing you own this with all baby Pokémon let’s me know how much more I have to learn. Love the content
it's incredible how much coverage the gastly line has
22:41 I guess the AI doesn't understand Trick Room, hence not sending in Gallade earlier?
Pretty interesting. I wonder what you would have done without Bronzor. Even if you sacrifice so many of them, I like how varied your teams & thus, runs end up being.
Great run & analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Gen 4 AI calls assist from the fainted pokemon and sees which move does the most damage (not checking STAB) and then sends out the mon with that move, Drxx had a video on it that was p good.
This is the first time i ever seen Sticky Barb being legitimately useful, so that's the highlight for me!
I'd love to see more contant like this!
It was cool to see a normally unused item in Sticky Barb be put to such great effect in this run. I always love seeing these insanely creative strategies and look forward to the gen 5 run :)
Absolutely delighted to see another one of these by you-love your strategic discussions and sense of humor. Thank you for your hard work on this!
Great video Freezai stench first had a flinch change gen 5 onwards
whoops, good catch
anyway i had to play around crit so the strats were the same
@@FreezaiPokemon ye ofc it was just a thing i noticed
Absolutely amazing content, keep it up. The sticky barb strats are so incredibly based
Incredible video, I love watching your playstyle and thanks for always being so inciteful
I’ve been considering streaming a run like this. I didn’t realize the level of strats needed to get through platinum with these rules compared to other gens. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Dude your knowledge and skill of this game is incredible. And your narrative/explanation of the situation makes it so easy to follow along
Great video. Please continue these (and your other analysis videos)!
Gonna say. Jan is gonna love this.
This was really well made again! Still really easy to understand the 200 IQ strats!
Absolutely amazing run. I love seeing these incredibly methodical and well thought out challenges.
I really loved the Sticky Barb plays. I'm really glad I checked out your Nuzlocke stuff a while ago coming from competitive cause it's super entertaining. :) Impressive stuff as always.
This was insane, wow. Very fun to watch and some strategie left me mindblown
Thanks for the late night content just as I was about to fall asleep
Same
As someone who is relatively new to Nuzlockes and just learning more complicated strategies, this was legit. Seriously, it was really awesome seing how you did this.
love how much fire is behind this channel these videos are so consistently awesome
This is just incredible stuff man, the creativity is so cool to watch. Well played.
Watching you nuzlocke might be my new favorite thing
“I knew about light ball fling because I used it in competitive” OKAY FREEZAI
Legit, incredible as always. Great work!
This is so well thought out and clean it’s beautiful
I saw Jan react to you and decided to come over to watch some myself, great content! It’s a lot of fun and I’m loving the explanations
Seeing Garchomp get one shot by a Mantyke, I laughed so hard.
Great video! I hadn't been interested in nuzzlock content before, since a lot of the time it boils down to CZcamsrs shouting at pokémon deaths, but your littlelocks are just on another level.
This is so crazy, keep up the great work!
These challenge videos are so well made
Will say everything you do is insane. I appreciate the hard work you put into the prep and withholding the fling light ball part was just an incredible twist. Love the content man. Hoping your smogon tournament team kills it. You motivate me to nuzlocke emerald kaizo on attempt 50ish currently. Struggling lmao.
These are so *clean*. Hats off to the planning and strategy involved.
The series keeps commig out strong! Keep up the content!!
Amazing vid, definitely loves the sticky barb strats the most
Man your nuzlockes are perfect
And your strategies never fail to amuse me
It’s actually so crazy how good u r at Pokémon like anything Pokémon related ur just the goat at fr
Top tier nuzlocke content. Insane plays, informative and well spoken commentary
Dude I’m gonna be straight up, you may be one of the best players I’ve ever watched. Lots of smart strats. No idea how you beat Cynthia
Planning and using the AI’s decision process against it
You are cracked at nuzlockes man. Well done for the win!
You deserve it for your creativity with strategies. I would have never knew about fling light ball if it wasn't for you :)
Loved this video and quite like your content and I hope you do more of these creatively planned nuzlockes
Again such impressive strats, I have never seen foresight, sticky barb, or light ball fling before
Amazing vid. I love the little locke challenge. You should keep doing them until you've done every game. Keep making your awesome content.
"and no, not that edging" freezai, this is why youre one of my favorite youtubers
I always like these littlelockes of yours, but there's always a moment that makes me go "Hooohahahha fantastic!" *chefs kiss
Ur playing style is more versatile and uses the strategies people never even think off.Nice work 🔥🔥.
next level strats as always, you're the best nuzlocker
Nice to see someone else tackle a challenge like this, glad to see yours had a better ending though lmao. Good video!
freezai used future sight!
Real talk, your foreshadowing is amazing and I love all the jokes and storytelling. That lightball fling is nothing short of genius. This video really came down to the wire.
I love this kind of content and look forward to more!
Excited to watch this!
I genuinely didn’t know Foresight did something other than making Normal and Fighting moves but Ghost types, so that was really cool to find out!
Also that Fling + Light Ball play was awesome
And I really want to know how you beat Mars
Prolly geodude eats purugly for breakfast
This is one of the hardest and cleanest nuzlocke challenges out there. Nice calculations o_o
i love how the ghastly is named valently, so when he fled from giritina it almost looked like "Valiantly fled with its Smoke Ball!" which i think its absolutely hilarious and monty python-esc
Ι really like the way you edit your videos. Right to the point without wasting time.
"And no it's not that edging"
*Immediately Uses Rock Polish*
Your Videos are amazing keep up the great work :)
This vid was legitimately so cool to watch
Flinging the light ball to cause paralysis - massive big brain strat. Brilliant, loved the entire video!
I love your commentary. "No not that kind of edging" Insightful.
Saw Patterrz react to this, and I just wanted to come here to say that this was absolutely amazing. I was speechless
This challenge is insane, great effort to pull it off!
It is very cool to see you use competitive strategies here.
Great video! I can’t wait for Gen 5
Beautiful run dude, congratulations on 100k!
"and no it's not THAT edging"
Hello yahi
As always it's incredibly impressive !
I absolutely love the nuzlocke content. Very interesting challenges and we can tell you know a lot about what you’re doing. I love the explanations and strats you use and foresight for what you need late game. I would encourage you in the future to try out emerald kaizo- you would destroy that game. That edging joke too lmao
Omg I just saw myself ahhh YIPPEEEEEE glad it was helpful ty
Oh it's another unusually smart nuzlocker here.
Your Littlelockes inspired me to start my own XY LittleLocke. So far I’ve beaten the 1st gym. If you ever consider doing XY, I’d be interested in what strategies you think of.
Update: 2nd gym down and almost lost the run to a Hawlucha in Glistening cave losing important Pokémon for the 3rd and 4th gyms. Jazz the Combee needs to carry me in the next 2 gyms…
Just got to say it, the way you say piplup is the cutest thing ive ever heard. Love your videos, keep up the good work.
Dude. Very cool video. Actual strategies
Great content. Congrats!
The "edging" part got me in tears. Great video
You’re a genius, Freezai. Your littlelockes are amazing!!!!
phenomenal video
Man, you are skillful and very entertained to watch. I encourage you to keep doing Hardcore Nuzlockes of any nature, personally, I would very much love to see a Hardlocke series of all pokemon games from Gen I and onwards, please consider doing so. Greetings from Cuba.
I absolutely love your content
