In the last two years I collected all the lord of the rings and the hobbit sets. Many for less than mentioned here, also because sometimes pieces were missing, which I already reorder to make them complete again. Apparently one of my best buys was the last set, namely the one with the dragon. I bought it closed for €300, which is quite a good deal. Another good deal was the battle for helmsdiep+extension+shelop+battle of the Wizards for €300, but quite many pieces were missing (mostly easy to get Lego stones). Now it is complete however 😍
Although I have a nice collection, it really annoys me I was in my LEGO dark age when these sets came out (only $5 for that lake-town guard - I would have bought hundreds of them!) Amazing the price increases. You should do a video of the minifig prices in the future
Not really sure if you could call it a set but i believe this list is missing the blue coat bilbo baggins minifigure that came with a blue-ray dvd of an unexpected journey. The figure goes for so much now but i was lucky enough to get a sealed copy of the dvd for £60 on ebay

did you get some of those new ork hair pieces for your orc army for mordor? I can't remember seeing them in your other vids but if not, definitely need to get some
Thanks for telling me I just bought the barrels escspe set and elf battle set from hobbit and later I’m gonna make the battle of the last alliance from beginning of lord of the rings wish me luck :)
If you have a seperate box it would affect the price positively, depends per set. But if you have a sealed set, you'll get the full deal if the box has no scratches.
I just hit myself over the head for not getting them back in the day when I hear those retail prices, if only I was a bit older then and earning money 🫠😆

I live in Turkey and I might consider buying a "Riddles for the ring" set here for $60 maybe.
my bagend set was 200 used,and the brown pieces kept breaking.i think it was a bad plastic batch .and its over 10 years old..i still love it though!
