i feel like everyone's ignoring how badly he treated her. i hope he gets his happy ending too, but it's definitely not with her. she found her peace with someone who cared for her, and he should get that too. if you watch the actual movie you'll see howbit actually developed. yes she "betrayed" him, but in actuality she was treated so badly that the betrayal was deserved. it's very subjective with which character you choose to side with, which is what i think is really great about it.

I can relate to this movie. I watched it last year when I had my heart broken. My boyfriend was a seaman, and he needed to work abroad while I am here in the Philippines. When covid hit, we didn't see each other for two years. I was always worried about him because I sensed his changed of attitude. He was always busy and stressed in his work which I understood. For two years, we had no deep conversations because he always told me he had no time due to the nature of his work. I felt there was something he hid. With God's help, I caught him cheating. He was messaging multiple women, and what hurt me the most was he fell in love with his workmate in the ship. He apologized and told me that I was the only one he wanted to be with, so I forgave him. But he didn't change. He still talked to other women via chat, and he still reached out the woman he fell in love with. And the rest was history.
2021 was a tough year for me. I am thankful to God because He has helped me. He healed me from the trauma and pain that relationship caused. Forever grateful to our Lord Jesus Christ because He has given me wisdom to mourn. I'm still currently on the stage of mourning, but I no longer love the man. I already have forgiven the him. I am already peaceful and joyful. I hope he finds happiness that he never found when he was with me.
You made me emotional. Even though I’ve a very loving partner, him cheating me is the biggest fear I live with. I know I shouldn’t feel this way when I say that he’s a loving partner. But I cannot help myself from thinking..
The moral of the story: either break up or move in together, because long distance relationships makes a messy situation of half commitment that either other option helps you avoid. If the situation is temporary it’s more likely you’ll get back together if your feelings remain the same with way less resentment. Or you’ll be far removed enough to move on cleanly without drawing unknowing players into the mess.

Besides, she wasn't even dating the "fat" guy, they were good friends. Probably growing to be more, yes, but still just friends. Also, the couple obviously broke up without actually saying so, since they stopped talking to each other, seeing each other, and the guy was literally seeing his co-worker. She wasn't cheating on him. It's not "to you" she just wasn't.

that i was actually trying to understand honestly at the very last of movie, they showed some conversation between the friends of that fatty hyeok but there were no subs for those. im wondering if he ever sincerely liked daeun or just that she was pretty and felt less lonely at hospital due to her tenderness + acts of kindness. Also the fact he thought that he got a lottery in form of daeun as he is isnt approached due to his looks etc which includes his inferiority complex as well

I loved how there was no transformation of chubby Jang-Hyuk. Thank you for keeping the male leads separate. Also the other ML never really understood how his gf was feeling the whole time. He went to her whenever he felt lonely or as a formality. When he got left alone, he ran back to Da-Eun shamelessly. And then went back to Bo-yeong again. No work and personal life balance.
If it weren't for the awesome ending twist, i would have disliked the movie so much.

Honestly, i loved this movie. I watched it before i saw this, it was amazing and my favorite. Apparently the synopsis other people said was that she got an abortion however i'm glad that it wasn't just me who didn't get that impression at all when watching the movie. When i watched it i got super angry with the guy thinking he just lost everything once he got skinny so it was a full on shock when they bumped into each other.
I love this film! It had one of those WTF moments when you finally get to the plot twist. A rarity in romcoms nowadays.

As in “she’s ‘brave’ to be attracted to someone fat” but skinnifies him for the audience anyway. So that’s a nice plot twist.
No one is gonna believe me, but something similar happened to me. I was a high school freshman who was bullied all through middle school which naturally developed trust issues. This senior girl who was friends with my sister said she genuinely liked me. I pushed her away because I thought she was messing with me. I regret what I did. I sometimes think about her. I hope she’s happy.

Wooooooooooow. That's a perfect twist. I usually see stuff coming a mile away in movies, especially romcoms or rom dramas, but this had my gobsmacked. Love that! And it all could've been prevented if she text the skinny guy back saying "okay, I'll use the tickets for myself and a friend." Still a great twist though.

This was bittersweet. She doesn’t look happy when she’s sitting with the chubby guy in the end and he is obviously not happy either. But ultimately it’s all his fault he chose to cheat. And she-is willing to be with the chubby guy because he will treat her right but it’s clear she does not love him.
I mean the skinny dude did insult her and caused a scene at the airport. I thinks at this point she needs a friend more then be in a relationship again. But true bittersweet

Interesting plot twist. I do like the subtle clues, though maybe the twist will have come through better if I watched the full movie. When I got to the part where the shoes were given, and it cuts to the skinny guy, I questioned if it was the same guy because the time frame seemed weird. I went to the beginning of the recap to get the fat guys name, then just kind of accepted it. Still, it was a good effort to incorporate the similarities between both guys (same name, same job, both shouldn't drink, etc), and have the film "mislead" us of thinking that it was just the fatty guy and the girl.

it's literally the never-ending conundrum of life, you can have a lot of free time with a low paying job to spend with the important relationships with your life. Or a higher paying job and no life. of course you could also have low paying job and no free time, which honestly more prevelant.
