our Monarchs have been Patrons of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) for over a century and our late Queen visited the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with her parents when her father was the patron
The security. The police presence. I've never seen anything like that before. How awful to have to be surrounded like that. Years ago, the Queen was only six feet away from me and our children when she drove by with the interior lights on, and only moments later she and Prince Philip walked onto the Royal Yacht. And then they both came back out onto the gangplank and waved just to us. It was 10 at night and I think she appeared especially for the children because they were up so late. It was wonderful. We were the only ones there. Oh, her diamond tiara sparkled in the interior car light. She was beautiful. My son was three and he was enthralled.
The only reason for all the police is to clear the traffic through london
I have also seen the queen at very close quarters at Balmoral on the way to church where there was only a small police presence

Yes, it would had been nice to see HRH Princess Catherine and Prince William there and their family but Princess Catherine is still recovering and undergoing cancer treatment - she will be back doing her royal duties and be back in the public when the time is right for her.

What Is that helicopter doing there? Is it part of the show?
No it's not part of the show.
It won't be the press or media either, it's most probably a Metropolitan Police Helicopter bristling with hi-tech surveillance equipment scanning the whole area.
Not an expert though so am happy to be corrected, but it's NOT the press or media.
