- With new data about which characters are doing well in season 2 for Street Fighter 6's top ranks, let's quickly go over the stats and have a discussion about how the meta is shaping up and what some of the worst match-ups are. Let me know what you guys think.

Nice to see JP didn't get totally shut down by the additional nerfs. Hopefully Capcom feels like he's in a healthy spot after this.
As a Juri main, some of her character match-ups seem a bit odd in their win rate. There's a general consensus that Guile is her worst match-up, but she has a 53.99% win rate against him here. She didn't change much in the balance patch, so the unsurprising part is that she is dominant in the match-ups against lower tier characters and struggles against a lot of the top tiers that can shut down her game plan.
Yeah I've always heard Juri struggles hard with Guile. Interesting that the winrates are so opposite of that. Could just be a low sample size
Guile did get some nerfs to his zoning, which is mainly what Juri struggled with in that MU. I think it's a bit more managable now, but I still dislike the MU
I don’t buy ryu being that bad. I imagine akuma is just eating up the ryu player base right now.
I think ryu is held back by his player base. He got crazy buffs but still has the lowest winrate. Out of all the characters ryu is the one w the most low iq players from my exp
On one hand you might be right seeing as most pros seem to think theres no reason to play ryu over Ken Luke and now Akuma. But the patch is still very new
@@DanceKevinDance5 i agree w the statement about pros but theres no reason a character with all the tools and damage that ryu has should have the lowest win rate in the game. He has everything he needs
That was the same for king in tekken 7, most players were low ranks with 1000 wins that didn't know anything

Well, GTR just got 3rd place with Ryu yesterday in a tournament called RDC or something so he cannot be THAT bad. This tournament was the middle east vs Europe I believe. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. People like angrybird, endingwalker and problem x were playing in this tournament. The top 10 characters were pretty diverse. I saw Cammy, Akuma, ryu, Luke, jury, Ken, etc. Still just top tier characters, but the fact thay ryu got 3rd place amongst all of those characters is a huge statement

No surprise. Ken tournaments resutls are one of the best, equally good(the character get into top8 most frequently, and the character win most big tournaments champion) as Luke in S1
Luke got heavy nerf, Ken got a lot of minor buffs
SF6 is too volatile, defensive play style of Luke worked in S1 because the reward are very good, it give great reward for players focus on neutral
A character like Luke get nerf so hard, which mean Capcom want everyone to play sf6 like gg, rush down == 80% of the game plan
gief got that much wr vs JP is the main training the MU out of spite
Let's draw win rate parallels to other games. 52-54% winrate in league of legends is a disgustingly overpowered character. a 46-48% winrate basically means a character is unplayable. Making the comparison of 48% to 52% and saying it's not a big deal with such a large sample size is naive.
Most of my perspective here comes from League lmao. I've been maiming 48% winrate champs for years and they are more than viable but the community loves to cry
Difference also is that league is a team game so individually you don't have as much impact, if your character is powerful enough to swing the match an extra 2% of the time in reality it's much more powerful than the numbers seem to suggest

As I Chun main I definitely feel the struggle against Cammy. Cammy just has a lot of ways to circumvent or shut down the game Chun wants to play.
I didn’t mind the damage nerfs they gave her bz a lot of other characters got them, but the longer recovery on air legs whiff has lost me a lot of matches actually. It didn’t seem like a big deal at the beginning, but I’ve found it to be pretty significant.
Curious how noticeable her walk speed nerf was? When I read it, it seemed like a big deal, but I haven't checked the numbers on it and in game it doesn't seem noticeable haha

Those numbers are to take lightly because some characters are very represented and it means that if more of them are weaker, the ratio of the character will drop significantly. That's probably Ryu's case for instance.

I played both quite a bit in season 1 and ended up choosing Cammy, but they're both super fun so you cant go wrong imo

As a chun main I dont think she got shot too much in the patch. I do feel the nerfs but have adjusted to them already. I think chun lacks cheese that a lot of characters have but she does have some really fucked up set ups that I’m not gunna share lol. Idk why but I feel like these CHUN MU charts are targeting me lol.
Are you still playing Cammy in S2 or are you switching to Akuma? Also, what are your thoughts on her low tournament rate? Not that Cammy isn’t in big tourneys, but I feel like she’s still underrepresented despite being a very popular character online - even at the highest MR.
I've been playing both quite a bit but I care more about improving with Cammy haha. Yeah her representation is weird given how popular she is but the Western tournies are generally weird in that regard, even last patch we didn't see too much Juri or DeeJay here. Japan has pretty good Cammy representation which I tend to watch quite a bit. Kazunoko and Akira are both great and there are many others.

I guess western tourneys really are an outlier. I’m hoping to see some more representation come Evo this year. Really not sure what to expect but I’m excited!

Yea in one of my earlier videos I said that I thought Chuns nerfs as a whole are a bigger deal than most people think, but everyone seemed to still think she was one of the best characters. Curious to see how it plays out

Damage is way way down.
I wouldn’t say she sucks. I don’t notice toooo much of a difference. It honestly could have been much worse.
