I think it would be perfect horror and hilarious at the same time. It's horror when it got yours line saying "guys, where are you?" repeatedly echoing among the hall.

legit a fun idea but no indie dev wants to be the first one to be at risk for (being accused of) violating internet privacy, GDPR, california regs and the like. you're going to have to store thousands of voice clips from your players in your game server, you can't just stream it immediately.
@pcenero not sure if that really applies as there are a handful of well-known games now, some released this year, which are entirely played by carrying out complex, realistic conversations with AI protagonists and antagonists. I can't imagine this would be any worse if there was a blatant disclaimer, plus, they could make it possible for servers or even individual players to opt-out of it. They're already *technically recording players' voices as some of the monster are blind but follow sound, so it's not far off or improbable to happen.
Another idea is just a skinwalker that doesn't speak, but had the nametag of the killed member. The best way to find out to see if they are a monster is to talk to them, although the moment you try to speak to them, they lock on to you and chase you.
It cracks me up because its so legit when your new not realizing that only the one being haunted can see the child.

My very first time playing this game recently, my friend brought me to experimentation I believe and he attempted to jump across one of those pits. He didn't make it, but I did. Once I made it across I saw the ghost girl on the other side and thought it was his ghost or something. I freaked out so bad and I fell into the pit. The chances for that ghost girl on experimentation si so fricking low, I can't believe that was my FIRST experience with the game.

If you're talking about ghost girl, I'd say it's more fear because she's so frickin weird than because she's human
The thing about that is that you don't expect to see something seemingly innocent like a child when everything around you is trying to kill you, and especially not on a hostile moon. It's terrifying, just outrunning a creature that wants to kill you then looking over and seeing a little girl staring directly at you before vanishing.
(Pt 2) the monsters are one thing because they make sense. Of course the things that want to kill you and live on a hostile moon are going to be well... monstrous, but the girl isn't and it's terrifying.
