The college student on campus that's gonna be late for class - offers a little info and just walks away. lol
Tbf they’re gonna be late for class… they wanna talk so bad wait till after! Shit’s expensive
Hudson university.. how is the place still open..??.. it’s a cesspool of alcohol, assaults, drugs, fraternities, cheating for grades, 😂
@@DeathnoteBB so true.. they can talk to police, but not really.. whoever it was always had a relationship w a professor.. I’m gonna be late.. I’ve said too much😂
Nailed it😄
@@mkrny111 yeah the faculty flat out tell you they don't care about the safety of the students.
😂 He left out the bartenders 1st answer. Its always naming the drinks they had (no matter how long ago) & saying he's not so good with names but he never forgets their drink. 😁
Yep..yeah .. blonde lady.. had a blue Hawaiian.. no one in her age bracket orders those.. t she knew how to work that straw.. lol.
@@mkrny111 knew how to work the straw...hahaha
It’s always wild to me how they remember the exact person, and then are never questioned again nor thought to be a suspect. I get it’s a narrative flow thing but augh
yeaahhhh- 14 years ago - last Thursday-she had a Manhattan......
Accurate 😂
Bartender who won't stop wiping down glasses is one of my personal favorites.
Seriously how dirty are the glasses that they need cleaned that much??
Also another one is housewife chopping celery and carrots despite no other preparations or dinner are there. At least give us a stew!!
@@DeathnoteBB and a meter maid running around still writing tickets n talking to them, building doorman who knows everybody, plus we love it when they show up looking for a guy and boss calls to guy from a distance and he has to run instead of him just quietly telling detectives he’s over there.. 😂😂
Then either Curtis or green catch him w lennie breathing heavy and guy tells them I was gonna pay that ticket😂😂😂.. u think we are chasing u for a ticket ???… they’re chasing him in a murder case 😂 or the guy thinks they’re collectors for a loan shark😂
I just thought that was New York City vibe lol.
@@nochedog I always wondered. Why always wiping the glasses… watched the bar rescue show and it’s how to know u have a “beer clean” glass .. if it’s not clean it’ll foam up n not be good. 👍👍
My favorite is the judge that gets weirdly offended when the lawyer does their job:
“Your honor, the circuit court said...”
“I know what the law says, counselor!”
It’s like, sorry, judge. Next time I won’t mention the law on the off chance that you already know the ruling I’m about to cite.
Ur trying an end run around Miranda!!! U do that again McCoy, and I’ll see u get dragged before the executive committee,
My favorite is how lawyers will say all kinds of objectionable, inadmissible, prejudicial things during trial and then just go "withdrawn" when the other side objects.
@@victorli2127 In the later seasons, the lawyers didn't even wait for the objection.
@Raylan Givens OK, incel.
Victims actually lie all the time in that show. And it's featured women as abusers.
@Raylan Givens [Citation needed.]
The crates part is sooo accurate and hilarious
I'm looking at an episode now lady kept loading trash bags while talking to benson and stabler made me think of this bit
Sounds like a great bit for a Police Squad! episode. I could see Det. Drebin questioning a competitive runner, who doesn't stop practicing while Drebin runs alongside them asking questions.😂 Or getting in a pool with his clothes on to question a swimmer.
@@354allday another episode and a meter maid just kept writing tickets and walking away from them ☹️😂
He forgot the “every time someone is getting questioned at work someone else always comes and calls their name and they say I gotta go and just leaves” person in every episode. It’s always so convenient how someone always comes and calls them away Lmao.
The part that KILLS me the most is when the suspect is on trial facing life in prison and his/her anger is so uncontrollable that blurt out a confession in front of the whole court
Now I suddenly understand why I enjoyed Law and Order in a way that was eerily similar to why I enjoy old Scooby-Doo episodes.
I feel this.
Same with Criminal Minds
I love this comment - it deserves so much more than just a thumbs up.
You could try giving them a small bounty 💰
BROOO
There's strong 2000s energy from this. I love it.
probably because its from 2009
@@Hamatche most likely a woooosh. Jani, get down!
YEP. Back when Comedy Central used to air hours of stand up on Friday, and sometimes, Saturday Nights.
As a young person, it was awesome. I got so much perspective on life from watching.
Baby mulaney is just the craziest thing to me
Was definitely a better decade for comedy.
Real life: Murder??!
Show character: Hey, I'm real busy, these boxes ain't gonna load themselves!
“DUDE PEOPLE HAVE DIED” lol
Lmao McCoy getting away with some questionable bullshit for over 16 seasons sounds about right
Or not getting away with anything in another episode. I like the judges that threaten to throw him in jail for odd reasons
@@Donillini U try that again McCoy and they’ll drag ur a## to a disciplinary committee.
@@mkrny111 😂😂😂
The judge that allows everything took me out, it’s just so spot on lol
ill allow it, but watch yourself, inroom108
Love reading the punchlines in the comments while waiting for the skip ad button
Briscoe always had the best one liners.. they find the dead guy w shaving cream on his face in the bathroom..” looks like he missed a spot”…, or they find the woman dead the dept store dressing room… “ look.. she shopped till she dropped.”
Let’s be honest, we’ve all seen John tell this 20+ times, but we’ll always watch when it pops up again
Same with his bit on SVU and Ice T. Seen it dozens of times, still hilarious.
First timer here
ALL DAY
💯💯💯
He watches the show on tv even though he already owns the series boxset on dvd! Pointing this out to him confuses and upsets him!
The one about the judge is so accurate “But watch yourself McCoy” 😂
Box guy gives zero shits. Once detectives of law & order actually told van-unloading box guy to stop unloading boxes to talk. Even lead characters got so sick of box guy never stopping, they had to make him stop haha
Love how he's personally offended by the bored judge
It's always the arraignment judges who sound bored after hearing what's on the docket.
Early seasons, people getting slammed on walls and roughed up in interrogation - no on ever gets disciplined. Just a little casual violence.
We also have:
Detective who believes in guilty until proven innocent
Detective who for no reason doesn't sleep until the case is closed
And
Detective who is right about all their hunches.
Detectives who for no reason refuse protection in life threatening situations
@@chanceencounter176 Columbo is yours and the hunches one! Also probably guilty until proven innocent, or rather guilty and then prove guilty.
Or the scene in prison room where prisoner says " I ain't talking to no cops "
so you will talk to some cops ( i love making this joke with double negatives [bear with me i was raised by an english teacher])
But they end up talking to the cops anyway 😂
The guy still working while being questioned is the most used troop 😂😂😂
YES. it seems like so many crime shows have the same characters.
I cant tell you how many times the cops have figured out the murderer, and the first thing they say is "I didn't mean to"
"It was an accident!"
"I only meant to scare him/her. The gun just went off."
"I didn't know what to do so I washed the bloody clothes."
"I didn't call the police because I didn't want to get in trouble."
I get that people have different tastes in comedy but all of that aside, we can all agree on one thing- John mulaney really really likes law and order
as much as Bill Hader likes Snapped
My favorite character is the "tired and sarcastic black postal woman". She is not having any of it and lets the detectives know by giving said sarcastic answers to their questions
It’s become too easy to spot the killer in the first five minutes of the episode. It’s always a random person who says random lines and their randomness is waaaay too random…
So true . Or it’s a special guest star or an actor who’s been on lots of law n order shows.👍
I like the wisecracking judge when the defendant is initially charged.
As a L&O fan, these are so good and spot on. Especially the unloading guy. I picked up on that ages ago. “Hey, Lenny is asking you some questions. Set the damn fruit crates down for two minutes and pay attention!” Anything I know/think about NYC comes from L&O and “NYPD Blue” which means I may have a skewed, slightly negative perception of the place. Perps, skels, junkies, lowlifes, mobsters, psychos and general assholes, etc. all committing horrific crimes 24/7 and it’s up to Jerry Orbach and Jimmy Smits to stop them! 😁
It's a trip seeing him...Not in a suit
I remember one episode had a guy unloading flowers from a van.
The way people cut off the interviews with "I'm done," turn, walk.
It’s so true.. same types of characters who don’t even get phased talking to the police. Plus guy who always runs when detectives show up., they can’t just walk up to guy working.. the foreman or boss always calls the guys name from a distance so he can run. Or then guy who starts asking the police too many ?s and tries to interfere in case.
Or the suspect doesn't demand a lawyer until they've given the cops too much information short of an actual confession. Keep in mind that the suspect was being Mirandized shortly before the commercial break.
The Guy can run but the detective who had the worse weekend ever is running After him, and unfortunately a car hit the man who is running and who happens to be guilty. They catch one man and they walk into the squadroom with 4 or 5 men ...
+ Svu : always running short of money.
Can someone please make a video of Law and Order clips with these scenes described?
Tell me how many people really binge on the many different Law And Order franchises? I dug deep in the Criminal Intent and SVU episodes.
Oh I love Criminal Intent! Bobby just knowing exactly what happened and yelling at people until they confess.
The bartender character is just facts my guy
Bartenders almost always stay sober and have constant situational awareness, so this one checks out. Plus there are always regulars, so anyone who doesn't usually go there is super noticeable.
My personal favorite is the judge looking for any reason to throw out critical evidence proving that the suspect committed the horrific murders.
"I'm sorry, but the HD videotape showing the guy murdering a bunch of girlscouts with a chainsaw is inadmissible because the police failed to put the proper punctuation in the search warrant."
Like, really!? you think we have one of the largest prison populations in the world because judges are being too radical in their scrutiny of police conduct?
Or like when, someone watches too many's laws and orders
How to Die Alone Podcast you got it ice
@@keithstone8693 and then it fades to black saying Executive Producer Dick Wolf
😂😂😂 I see what you did there
@@HoneyPoohBear for the true Mulaney fans 💖
...or... when somebody plays too many scratchy lotteries?!
The disgruntled yet helpful landlord. A classic.
I needed this today.
💕
Hey other Cody, you doing okay a year later?
The mechanic who slides out from under a vehicle hes working on to scowl and say come back at lunch then slides back under the car while 2 homicide detectives stare at him
He's not wearing a suit, this is fake
Photoshop 💯
It's his evil doppelgänger, Mohn Julaney
Ha! This is when he was 17.
This was before he could afford a nice suit. :)
The very first time he wore a suit on stage was for the recording of his first DVD.
This man is a legend
You are so right.
I hate that I love that show! Extremely, addictive.
I loved watching Law and Order and all of it’s Spin-offs, but THIS is so TRUE! 🤣
Him, Gabriel, Sebastian are tops!😆👍🏼💯
Can driver who picked up a businessman a week ago and remembers the blue suit he was wearing.
seen this like twice but i will watch again cuz i love the show and the jokes.
Or, the victim’s parent/husband/wife with a gun somehow getting within five feet of the defendant right outside a courtroom.
Mariska just opened a file on you 😅😂
This is my favorite John Mulaney bit
How about the social worker who can pull out the exact file with one sheet of paper in it from a filing cabinet without looking as she talks about how understaffed they are.
That one always cracks me up.
The whole bartender thing....I lived (past tense) in New Orleans. I returned and went to a bar that I went to occasionally. I tried to tip really well and the bartender said, "No, no, no. I just haven't seen you for so long." The good bartenders have GREAT memories.
You can really tell this older material from some of his later specials how bad his drug problem got - he seems like he's talking in slow motion compared to some of the last pre-rehab material. Glad he's doing better now.
Or when the prosecution is about to lose the case and outta nowhere a surprise witness who seen the crime pops up or some new unseen footage appears 😂😂
This is super funny keep up the great work😎
He’s so good, he’s too good.
I adore this man
Sounds like a guy who'd never been to new York saying that this was how cops solve detective work.
🤣 lmao I was looking for this sketch
I just love this sketch! 😂😂😂
This is so spot-on good!!! 👏😂🤣
Abby Carmichael rolling her eyes in every damn episode
I cant watch his stand up without picturing andrew glouberman😂
“The Murder Police” cracks me up every time.
The loader guy probably works in a at will state. If he stops they might dock his hours or fire him if he stops.
It’s a joke lol
lol love his observations
A blast from the past 😏
Damn you nailed it.
my personal favorite is the flashes to the jury looking like 😐
Watch it Mcoy! Hahaha
Fabulous!
Awww! Young John. So cute.
This is what a tall child looks like before he gets tired!
He looks exactly the same now. He never ages....
...so referring to him as "Young John" is a bit of a misnomer.
XD
so now after binge watching a lot of John Mulaney standups I have a crush on him
One of my favorite Mulaney bits.
Love me some intelligent stand up. Thanks
I like the show - you have great taste John!
This kid is BRILLIANT!
*Listens to this 100 times over*
*goes on CZcams*
*pulls up Comedy Central*
*scrolls down list searching frantically for the name Mulaney*
*finds this*
My brain: liberation of France at the salt and pepper diner ensues
This reminded me of community, lmao
LMAO 🤣 TOO TRUE
I'm a SVU guy but they've pretty much redone the same shows with different characters.
How shocked the detectives are when something bad happens, even though bad things have happened almost every single day of their lives
"He was inhere cursing up a storm! Left a lousy tip!"
This is maybe my favorite John Mulaney bit of all time.
The doorman. They always talk to a doorman.
He cusses? You learn something everyday.
this is the bit john used for his SNL audition
Dammit the truthfulness 😂💯
This is an absolute masterpiece classic that applies to all cop shows going back to the 50’s. Especially when the location is NY City.
Arraignment judge just wanting the plea who doesn’t need to hear the case.. 😂
yeah and they all have the same "i really don't want to be here" look on their faces.
I can’t stop hearing Andrew when he talks...
I was watching Law and Order today, Brisco and Green were st a place with vans, and i kept waiting for the unloading to commence
At a place...
Sounds like Andrew from Big Mouth.😂😂
He is the voice of him
It's NYC. People there dint have time to stop for murder.😂😂😂
Fruit of the poisonous tree your honor.. the da is doing an end run around Miranda. .. your honor.. save it mr McCoy .. I’ve heard enough.. the confession is out. .. then I move to have the charges dropped..not so fast counselor…
That depends on the trial judge. If it's Pongrancic, the confession is getting tossed and the case dropped even if Briscoe and Green did everything by the book. If it's Steinman, the confession may be tossed but the murder weapon will remain in evidence. If it's Callahan, the confession will remain but the jury will be instructed to lend it no more or less weight than if it were court testimony; the murder weapon will be permitted into evidence.
The former housekeeper who worked for the family in question, and they interview her on a park bench
Gold
Idk 🤔 what John is talking about Law & Order is diverse each storyline is a mystery wrapped up in enigma wrapped up in a riddle
I have never seen a L&O episode… until now.
The first time I heard Mulaney curse
When will John Mulaney ever do a buddy cop show with Chris Meloni?
Serious questions about my whereabouts on the day of the murder of a person I know: zzzzz
Crates being unloaded late: NOT ON MY WATCH!
