This is part two to the Italian Canvas Tactical video showing how the gear fits the pack and also thoughts on what gear I want and need as a newbie bushcrafter. Like - Comment - Subscribe :-)
I'm a newbie, too. Enjoyed seeing the pack up and hearing your thoughts on gear selection. Some things in there I hadn't thought of (trowel!). Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. That is good advice. I really like the Bahco Laplander saw. I get through tree limbs really well with it and don't risk cutting an appendage off.
nice solid kit, one of the great things about starting a new kit is discovering what works best for you personally, the Italian Rucksack is an awesome bag to carry, you might want to pick yourself up some gloves, Walmart sells some nice Wells Lamont leather gloves for around $10 it would be a good addition to your kit when it comes to handling hot items and also hatchet work, thanks for the video. Happy Trails.
Ur doing greatnand seem to have gottena good start. It's allways nice to hear from the ladies out there that want to learn this sort of actavity. Never be afraid to ask a question because u think it might be dumb or something!!! The only dumb question would be the one u didn't ask !!! Take care and keep learning new skills.
You have a wonderful selection of gear and many of the same types of things I like to have along so it was very enjoyable watching you. Only advise I could share, which is much like what everyone else says, and that's to get out as much as you can, (even for day hikes) go thru the motions and see what works for you and what you wish you had. That's a fun day for me anyways.. : o) Thanks again and I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season.. : o)
Looks like you are doing great. Finding what works for you is the most important part of gear. I love the bag your fire kit is in, I need to make or find a leather bag for my more "traditional" Bushcrafting stuff. Most of my gear is the most up-to-date military stuff. It would be nice to get back to more traditional gear...at least for some of it. Nice gear, looks like you are doing great.
Yeah, the container does but I can add a small pouch on the same strap with the hatchet to keep lighter items in easy reach. The water bottle could easily fit inside the bag but I'll wear it on a shoulder strap for easy access. Joe would get annoyed having to stop and get my water out of my pack every time I wanted a drink . LOL.
Oops. Somehow I missed these comments. Thanks for the great ideas regarding the paracord and trash can. A trashncan is a brilliant idea! I'll be keeping an eye out for one. =)
What you have done so far is really great. I had been looking at the Itialian back pack and while it is a great pack for the money and space it would also be to small for me. Looking forward to seeing your video on your new knife. That stove you have looks great, how about a video on that. Thanks for sharing.
awesome vid and your doing great... you have a good teacher mr hogtown prepper ... cant wait to see more vids.... i wish my wife would get into do some
Very nice young lady. So pleasing to see the folks share their thoughts, ideas and adventures. So many critical things to be learned that make the journey more pleasurable. Don't know what State/Country your in (hopefully the beautiful USA) but nice to see you have the right and responsibility for your personnel protection, CCW... Many Thanks
Great video. Thank you for sharing, it's always a pleasure to watch real people, without the hype, gloss and spin of the professionals.

Great job on the video! Better than a lot I've seen already. You are inspiring! Keep 'em coming!
Thanks Ron. I really appreciate the encouragement! Next up on my list of skills to learn... knife skills with my new knife. =)
Thanks. I really love the side pockets for organizing.

Thanks. I really love the more traditional gear too. I'd like to eventually have all leather, canvas, wood and the odd bit of metal.
Great advice and a good excuse to get out and go every chance we get. Thank you and a happy holiday season to you and yours as well. =)
