I'm a 50 year old man trying to drop a 100 pounds. I play this on repeat for the whole walking session and run the hills. I feel like Rocky! Not the 1st Rocky but last one when he was punch drunk but I still feel good.
It about time I heard an HBCU play this song! I think Bill Conti would be proud of this arrangement; regardless, it sounds awesome! Mellophones killing that french horn line from the song! Very nice!
Amazing job, SU. That middle brass(baritone and mellos) shined and trumpets, excellent work. I didn't expect this from you and I LOVE THIS! As a Marching Wildcat alum, I enjoyed this.
The students are so talented. They performed this song without strings,Choir, or proper percussion and it blows me years every time I hear it. What a wonderful job this university dose handing out scholarships to kids who deserves recognition for achieving so much. These kids started early as 3rd grade. Here in Atlanta, they are getting rid of the music in schools. SAVE THE MUSIC.

the conuctor moves like a robot!! LOL
Only thing that could’ve made this better is if they had deep cup mouthpieces for the mellos. It gives a closer sound to French that you can’t really get on mellophones because you can’t mute the bell and the mouthpiece is shallow.
The only thing I didn’t like is how it kept slowing down but others then that this is fire lol
I disappointed that the woodwinds did not play a larger role. I do understand that this is a marching band arrangement. Never the less, I enjoyed it 👍🏿
