- Learn to build a Arrow Storage Products NP8667 Metal Shed with complete instructions. The 8'x6' dimension shed is affordable and relatively simple to build. I bought it from Home Depot for under $300 (Linked below).

Great Job !! I like the way you filled the shed. It gave me a good idea on how much I can store. In addition to step by step on putting it together.
Thank you!
Thanks. Bought one with no directions. Couldn't have done it without this video .
Thabks for watching!
Good job Belal
Just bought one of these sheds for my ranch to store small odds and ends. Built the same for you did, got the base metal installed, then hit a wall trying to install vertical panels alone. Great video and yeah, there's a million tiny screws.
Amazing job!
Thanks for the video man. It’s really informative and easy to follow. I’m looking at buying this exact one at Home Depot. They did go up though. Now it’s $350.
I just bought mine two days ago... it's 480 now. 😅
@@jessegarcia5524 damn it just keeps getting worse. 🥹
@@jessegarcia5524 599 here in canada! Yes sir!!
Man that's my outfit and my getdown, pack hat and camo long sleeve, doing some handyman stuff. Needed this video for tomorrow's job. Subbed!
Right on! Your the man!
Ammaazing work ✌️🙌
Putting the plastic washer on the screws and bolt were no fun I have the 10x14 arrow shed, should of had my nephew help me with that haha. Awesome job! you made it look easy.
Thank you! Enjoy your shed!
Bro, you did a good job. Would have been better if you give narrations of parts, step by step.
thank you good video
I have the 8 by 10 but the exact same shed besides that and I'm having a hard time getting the doors to adjust and slide easy they look level and close together together but they are scraping on the inside screws. Any suggestions?
how do you safely secure it? I've done the best I can but I know a bit of brute force
What should I do if the 2 parts in the back dont assemble?
great job and instructions, quick question to anyone who knows, would it be possible to install the door on the 6 feet side, thanks
Thank you. I don't think that is going to be possible because the rails for the door are 8 feet long.
What sizes did yu get for the frame and the middle
I bought myself one and need a base. How many 2x4 and plywood in what size do I need to build one? Please advise me, thanks!
How high is your cinder blocks, as they didn’t look like they are 8” high? Thank you and I enjoyed your video and I will build a solid foundation like yours instead of buying the metal one. Yours looks solid, simple to make and less expensive…
Bro your badass
Lol thanks man!
Keep up the great work!
Nice
Should have watched your video before a purchase… cause mine is going in the Corner of the backyard meaning no access to the back and left side
Damn!!!
Wanted to ask if when it rains does water get into shed or does it do the job nicely to stay dry. I’m thinking of buying a shed vs actually paying for a storage space.
Water will run through on the backside due to the foundation extension unless you silicone the bottom wall plate were it meets the wood. Also don’t forget to anchor it down.
Gloves! Did you get through the whole build without a cut? Thx for the video.
Lol not a wise decision on my behalf
can you help me answer some questions please. i just bought this. am i going to be able to assemble this with the back facing a fence? meaning i wont have access to the back. also, whats up with the platform? why did they recommend a larger than need platform size? thanks
You will need access to the back because the panels can only be screwed in a certain way. I am not sure why they recommend a larger platform other then ease of moving the shed while building (you may have to pull/pry on the roof panels to get them to line up with the holes)
@@DuctTapeMechanic ill paypal you $5 if you can answer 1 more question haha. im for real, i want to know if i can get away with building a 69" width( front to back) platform. it seems like the frame is smaller than that. thanks and let me know answer with paypal email or cashapp or venmo
Edit this video! Captions or subtitles on the sheds parts PLEASE! LOL! Subscribed, liked and thanks brother! Its 599 +tax here in canada. Will have mine tomorrow. Saving this vid!! Stay safe-
Best of luck with your build!
@@DuctTapeMechanic question pls? Mine will come with a floor frame. Can i put plywood on top of the floor frame so i have a smooth surface loading and unloading stuff? And also, how to anchor shed?
Thanks for uploading ! Is there a hole on the Door handle for a Lock ?
There are door handles on each sliding door. However there is no lock. When the doors close it makes a loop and you can put a padlock through the loop.
Thank you . I will watch video many more times when I install it .
I have the Floor Base Complete .
How long do you think for 2 Guys to assemble Shed Only ?
What size of cinder blocks did you use? And how many if you don't mind me asking
I believe I used 9 cinder blocks (8×8x16 inch blocks)
Do you think a 4x4 grow tent will fit in that size shed?
Absolutely.
How long does it take you one day or two . How much should I charge to put one together.
It took me 2 days but I was working slow. As far as how much to charge I don't have a real good answer it is a realively inexpensive shed so idk how much someone will pay to have it build.
Did you have to make new holes in order for the tracks and other parts to be at whatever length it needs it to be
No I didn't have to make any holes that I recall. Everything is predrilled.
@@DuctTapeMechanic I was asking because the door tracks were off by like an inch for me when assembled(too long). And the base is off by 1/2 inch when I measure it. Thanks
Can you explain the importance of the tape. We couldn’t figure out where to tape it. It’s not shown in the video. Is it over the bracket?
Yes its just to keep moisture/wind out. It goes underneath the bracket.
Did you anchor this shed using the Arrow anchor kit? Or any other anchor?
I anchored it using regular wood screws no kit
What are the extra pieces of 2x4 used for on the corners of the base
Just used them as buffers so we don't accidentally ram things into the shed
What size was the floor
You got that for $280? My was $349 plus tax, which set me over $400!!
Oh well.
Get to work building now.
Thanks for the heads up on putting this thing together. I was going to build it with wood, but that would have set me back over $700! (But easier to build, got to choose your battles!)
Inflation I guess. I got this last year. Good luck with everything.
How well does it hold up in a strong wind? Any idea if it would hold up in a hurricane?
It's holding up well but I'm in sunny California. I am fairly certain it will not hold up in a hurricane.
@@DuctTapeMechanic Thanks! I have a wooden pump shed that held up well for many years and no problems with hurricanes but now termites have infested it and it is collapsing. I would like to go metal for replacement as I wouldn't have to worry about termites but just my impression from the video, the shed looks a bit on the flimsy side. Might go down in the first strong wind.
How much did you save doing it yourself?
I am not sure what the Home Depot contractors charge but I bet it's not cheap.
2 23x32 pieces of ply to cover a 8x8 floor. Tell me how so I can save that money.
Can it be built on a concrete ground?
Yes you can. Concrete would work best
How long did it take?
Including the floor it probably took me 5 or 6 hours of actual work (I was filming as well which always slows me down). I recommend spreading it out over a weekend so you don't rush yourself.
can you stand straight inside the shed??
Yes I can stand up and barely not hit my head! I am 6 feet tall
@@DuctTapeMechanic thank you
Damn the shed is $600 right now
Dang! That some serious inflation
Unfortunately, this shed is now almost $500. Isn't inflation a biotch?
Yikes. Good shed though
Before to attempt construction! : Check for WRONG size part #8946 on page 15.
The floor base Left and Right pieces are 1/2' too short, that's why we had to cut front to back pieces. I'm going to Home Depot later to ask for a refund.
Page 15 WRONG PART!
Part 6946 is only 66 1/8" long and is for a 5 1/2" shed! Not a 6' foot shed.
I did get a partial refund as I didn't want to disassemble the shed and return it for a full refund.
I had to cut metal roof of by 1/2' and overlap rear panels to get it to work.
Now I have an 8x5.5' shed.
These storage sheds are REDICULOUSLY SKY HIGH. Not counting you got to have some sort of floor, and to put them togather. I paid like 529 dollars for a 10x8. Cause there going to jump up another 400 dollars. THAT 529 dollar just for a unassembled storage shed. Not count about another 500 dollars for a wooden, screws for a frame and cement. Plus my time to assemble it
Yikes! Inflation is crazy right now
@@DuctTapeMechanic Its going to get worse.
@@DuctTapeMechanic Yes and pickup trucks going for 85k 🤬
@@426superbee4 Yes much worse because the bankers think the answer to this problem is a massive increase in unemployment to drive down wages.
Thats not steo by step, you don't even mention the size of the arrow shed in your description
Jaxpety (Lowes version)
Step 1: throw away installation instructions.
Step 2: assemble the building using instincts and common sense. 😅
Like you said. There not that good of quality! There cheaply made. There not that good to even live in
