This game title is has such a weird development history. The sega game gear/master system looks like the SNES version, while the Sega genesis's version looks like the gameboy. I feel like the teams that made it were like, "okay everyone, we usually stick to the same companies systems for developing games, this time we are shaking it up."
Tried playing this version on the collection on Xbox One and I almost cried.
The Lion King gameboy game also made me want to jump out of the window.

Am I the only one that realizes the familiar music playing on this level sounds just like the music from the first level and tree level in jungle book for snes. I should know, cause I still have the game on said console.

Yeah, I noticed that when i played this thne jungle book. kinda odd, this track was replaced in the GBC version of the game.

I don't own this game anymore, but i remember a part i just couldn't pass. I believe it was at 28:38. In that jump, there was no platform in the middle of the pit, so I just could not advance and always died there. Am I the only one who suffered this?

In my opinion i well say it's way better then the nes game that was released in europe because the european nes version looks like something you see on gameboy so again in my opinion it looks decent I kinda like it

Good god, this game has some of the worst collision detection I've seen in my life.
In many ways it's such an accurate port. Except it runs and plays and sounds like shit.

Well, at least this isn't half as bad as the GameBoy version of The Lion King, but the choice of music here is really awkward. Yeah, it does have "A Whole New World", but apart from that, there are only strange, unfamiliar tunes, it seems. Also: Fighting Jafar with "A Whole New World" in the background is kinda ridiculous. :D

It's poor programming, just look at how smooth and fluid something like the original release of Wario Land II runs. The Game Boy was more capable than this but top quality games usually only came from Nintendo themselves.

D LG Not everybody knows the Brick. For many millennials the GBA was their first and only GameBoy experience. If not then the NDS was their first Nintendo handheld.
This version was clearly cheap ass made being rushed as hell,it's clear that the 1st & 3rth background layer was removed,thus making it soo detailess.
But what really bugs me are the awfull controls,you cannot shoot while landing are jumping in mid-air,you also have a limited control on were you landing in mid-air,if you jump & landing from a high store building, you got at the end of your landing no control were to landing in mid-air,the enemy's will take advatage of this.
I also hate the hit detection, the worst part is that you cannot alway's tell wich parts becomes parts of the backgrounds and wich ones becomes parts of platforms, this is really unfair & annoying .
Also,why would you ever want to trhow apple on enemy's if you could use it to buy stuff or increase your high score i suppose? And since when do peoples dying from trhowing apples on them,even jafar dies from from trhowing apples on him,haha.
Poison apples or maybe the aroma stuns the enemies.
I meant that these apples are specially prepped with something that freaks out the enemies or just stuns them ; also, maybe these Persians just can't stand the shane of getting hit with a dirty apple so they disappear from existance

Like a number of sequences of the game are accompanied by "A Whole New World", which DOES NOT FIT LEVELS LIKE A DUNGEON, LAVA CHASING YOU, AND THE FINAL LEVEL AND BOSS. Like... The Sega Genesis version at least had the prospect to make the music and settings fit together. It's bothersome.

WHOA *this* is the Game Boy version?! The graphics looks horrible!! It could at least mirror the snes graphics. (Minus the color since GB games had no color.)
Both GB and GBC Aladdins is ports of Virgin's (Sega) version of game. But GBA Aladdin is actually same as SNES (Capcom).
+Kuribo Kutsu Why would Virgin Software port the Sega Genesis version to the GB version since Nintendo and Sega were "rivals" in the 80's and 90's?
