Shame this version wasn't also included in the "Aladdin & Lion King" compilation game for Nintendo Switch. (Which had several versions of the games included, including the demo show unfinished version of Aladdin.) It just had the NMS version running on a GBColor palette for the "Color" version.
@@Lightblue2222 Gameboy Color and Gameboy is practically the same hardware. Both uses a Z80 as main CPU, the only difference is CPU speed and Cartridge rom size.
being able to see the platforms and wrecking balls at that dungeon level was a challenge of its own... I remember being a kid and dying without understanding why and only after getting really close to the GBC screen I could see that wrecking balls at the beginning...

Seeing the golden balls chase Aladdin in the Cave Of Wonders brings me back to being 7 years old and seeing a stunt done in Walt Disney Indiana Jones Studios

I appreciate the effort they put into this port as opposed to the OG Gameboy one, but they really fucked up the compositions, the timing of the tracks are off-sync with each other it's really jarring.

Agrabah is a fictional kingdom that is meant to resemble Morocco, which is suggested by the fact that Aladdin and Jasmine are meetable characters in EPCOT's Morocco Pavilion.
I played this game a lot as a kid, this port isn't very good, it is glitchy and sometimes it doesn't work, the yellow boss in the cave level sometimes doesn't appaer at all and you are stuck there, or the flammingo in the Palace sometimes you jump on them and you fall off.
Compare this to Donkey Kong country on Game Boy Color and this just looks awful. The only problem Donkey Kong Country had was compression issues as it used a 32meg Game Boy Color cart same as Snes version should have been 8 meg to reduce costs.

Compare this to the original Game boy port by NMS Software. Crappy sprites aside, this is a very faithful conversion of the Mega Drive game.

Nice touch adding Jasmine in a cage in the final battle, but had it been in the original game, it would have been the hourglass.
