Well yeah but at least second would have netted him the points to keep things alive on paper. Instead he scored zero.
At this rate Hamilton gonna win the title at Imola or Turkey... And I hope he clinched it with a win... While also eclipsing Michael's record so...

They could build a racetrack undersea... And it would be dry during race time.
It would always be dry, because it doesn't rain under water... And they would have to seal the track off from the seawater and pump oxygen etc in to the underwater race complex. So yes, your statement is correct I suppose

Yes I know that, Alex' "rap"
Just changed the wording lol
The problem with Lewis isn't only that he's massively talented, but it's that he's consistent. The guy just so rarely makes mistakes that can be capitalised on by others. It gets boring having the same guy come first every single race, even if it's because of his own abilities. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have a car that rarely breaks down and is half a second faster than the rest of the field as well, but that hasn't always been the case
Best driver usually ends up in the best car too. But yeah as much as I dislike his personality at times and would love to see others win championships. He is bloody impressive. I’m a fan of drivers like russel and lando (likely not to be champion anytime soon if Lewis won’t quit).
I came here to say the same thing. I absolutely hate Lewis (as a driver - he's a lovely man outside of F1)... and I hate Mercedes equally (but it goes back to long before the era of Mercedes dominance). BUT, my biggest complaint about Hamilton is that he drives like a robot, because he never puts a foot wrong, spends every practice session before every race learning the *exact point* where his race car can no longer hang onto the road... and then he drives one millisecond slower during qualifying and the race... so that it will. I might hate him, but I've got mad respect for his talent as one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Say what you will to try and excuse it away but, at the end of the day, *success in motor racing is measured in race wins...* everything else is bullscheit.
Can we get the "is *insert name here*'s career over?" Rosberg explosion on a shirt

I love Albon but I'm worried the more than anything his comment "They race me so hard" is going to make the higher ups lose faith in his ability. And he definitely has it, but, it's not showing well. Still hope he can retain it some how
He definitely made his case worse. How could he say that on the team radio. Did he think they came to play with him on the grid?🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I know dude . But we don't know what happened. This reminded how Riccardo used to retire 2018 continuosly with any seen issues. They always used to blame it on PU.
@@chaitanyametkar8542 yeah man in all honesty I Hope's it's not jepordized his seat and it's nothing, but, genuinely concerned. Someone needs to have a talk with him.....and the excuse of engine issues seems somewhat dodgy
His words were not right
But I always laugh on how red Bull's main focus is on the no. 1 driver they always do experiments with alex's setup, strategies etc For example: yesterday they brought him in the pits on lap 8 to change for mediums but the rest of the grid did it after lap 11 or 12 I know the reason they gave was blistering which was giving a lot of vibrations but he could have carried on
Also in an article of The race I've found that red Bull uses different parts on alex's car which was accepted by dr. Marko in an interview, so maybe he is backed a lot by the team
Or maybe his performance is bad who knows

@Herr Denker You ppl jus sit on your ass and critique F1 drivers all you want...get a life.....first get a brain...then do some research...maybe life will start falling into place after that....a driver that has consistently put his car in a championship winning position cannot suddenly forget how to brake and throttle.....you are clearly a moron who does not understand F1 cars jus like many other twats out there too...Sebastian did nothing wrong with the car at the Eifel GP or even at Silverstone or Sochi....jus try to understand the telemetry and the onboards...nobody can explain it...its jus aero stalling mid corner every time.....Austria race 1 remains his only outright mistake of the season so far....Charles is very much a driver skilled with low downforce handling ability...many drivers including Micheal and Lewis always needed a planted rear and its the same boat Seb is in.....Its like hes driving with a handicap every weekend and every time he tries to push the limit the car just wont have it....as far as pace goes thats where the difference is..I doubt they have different cars...Charles is jus easily able to pull atleast 3 tenths in quali....but when it comes to the race, Seb is either on par or usualy faster in fact on several occasions this season hes even been able to match Leclerc on a slower compound including during the eifel gp when he was lapping almost 2 tenths faster on the hard compound at one stage....Charles is inexperienced and doesnt know how well to manage the tyres and fall off a cliff while Sebastian is able to hold a better average pace...hes always losing out cos of quali and traffic on the intial laps....even in this race, Charles took the same number of stops as Seb even though Seb had to take one unplanned cos of flatspotting the tyres...without that he would easily finish P5....Spain was something Leclerc would not have been able to do...60% race on softest compound....all drivers have strengths and weaknesses....Seb is one of the best studies in the sport ...he needs time to analyze, plan and practice which requires support from the team....modern drivers are more the sit and go types so I can understand why noobs like you fall for it....

In NASCAR there is a theory that the cars going around in circles at such high speeds creates a vortex above the track that pushes away ran and clouds. Not proven though I don’t think
NASCAR fan here, it's less of a theory and more of a myth started by Darrell Waltrip. I'm pretty sure it's been disproved as well.
this is some usa level bullshit theory.
yall just love to throw the word vortex around
@@cartracer56 it's a joke
It's a joke startet by Darrel Waltrip, as there were often cases when a caution (effectively Safety Car for all non-US racing fans) came out and shortly thereafter it startet to rain. DW always joked that as long as the cars keep racing at full speed they create a vortex that keeps the rain away, but as soon as they all slow down that vortex disappears and the rain can move in.
Of course another explanation for that phenomenon is that the race director saw the rain coming on the radar screen and specifically neutralized the race as a precaution just before all the cars would crash on slick tyres in the wet...
When everyone realise that RedBull tune in their car with max, why isn't people saying the same thing to Ferrari?

I have mixed feelings about Vettel’s move to Racing Point. I have nothing against him and I want him to do well for his sake, but at the same time, I want Racing Point to regret betraying Sergio.
Deez Noots Actually Vettel beat Leclerc on track in 2019. The net of counting races is in Vettel favour
Alex really needs the alpha tauri treatment to rejuvinate him just like gasly, he is cracking under the pressure of being maxes teammate
Red Bull believe in him and he has shown brilliance at times...he just needs to gel with the car and they're working to give him the set up he can be more comfortable with.
I think Red Bull (or i hope) have learned that constantly swapping out drivers isn't going to help them long term...Alex and Max seem to be good teammates too.

Nope, its still pissing here after the race, started around 11pm and its bin that since last sunday nonstop, just bad timing for the rain to stop on raceday
lando is a meme
The thought Hulk almost has as many championship points as Vettel does is mind boggling. Get him that RB seat
@The Coon Yes we are
The Coon well, its quite obvious that the Hulk has better performance then Alex
Alex is struggling to drive a car developed for Max. Hulk has no RB connection and was driving for a team he has a long history with, in a car developed for two drivers with quite conventional driving styles.
I think Max may be a bit like Alonso: his skills allow him to extract more from a car with strong character than from a conventionally fast balanced car, whereas drivers who would be fast in the conventional car (like Vandoorne, Gasly, Albon) are made to look bad by the characterful car.
It'll be another Kubica. People overhype everything with their heads in a cloud, idolising some fantasy hero.

Here's something that's just occurred to me: Albon and Gasly have never been in the same team at the same time! We could decide once and for all who is the best if they were both at Alpha Tauri next year.
Maybe, but Yuki Tsunoda would likely take one of those seats, so Albon or Kvyat might miss out, and given Albon is yet to prove much in either car, I don’t like his chances.
I feel bad for Antonio, he's better than people make it seem.. he should keep his seat I think
At the very least GIO has shown improvement in his time in f1
He had a great race and managed to drag that Alfa into the points, and looked comfortably ahead of Kimi all weekend.
Really worried for his future
As much as i like kimi, i think he should retire after this season. Mick schumacher is definitely getting a seat next year and if kimi decides to stay gio will get kicked even though he has so much potential and is improving a lot. Kimi is blocking a seat for younger drivers, just like alonso is through his return next year
Plus Gio has been on Kimi's level or better everytime .. and he has gained places every single lap 1
@@marcoferreira3832 he even got into Q2 and ended up in the points this weekend. super impressive and I really hope he can stay in f1
So now that the title is decided, we shall ask the question which we always ask at this point of the year: Maybe next year Valtteri?
They can deny it but we all know Bottas is Hamilton's wingman and that's it. Good enough to be consistently on the podium and even win a few races but not quite good enough to truly trouble Hamilton too much.
Just like Schumacher and Barichello, I guess.

Albon really is having a shocker. It’s such a shame but at this point you can’t defend him. His performance was a mess today
@RoadhogTime13 he had to get that podium the red bull was way way better than d 8 remaining cars in mugello. They retired him yesterday coz they didnt want him to humiliate himself n the team.
RoadhogTime13 How can you possibly defend him ? His races in 2019 mean absolutely nothing, only his performance this season which as all round been awful. He was a full second of Max in Russia and was racing a Williams, then got overtaken by Gasly. This race he performed horribly taking out Daniels front wing then locking up and nearly sticking it into the side of Gasly and when that failed complained that the sister team is racing him to hard. He’s in the second fastest car on the grid and has only finished in the top 4 twice how can you possibly say he’s showing signs of being promising ? He can’t hang in the top team and there’s nothing wrong with that he’s only in his second season, he needs a smaller team to grow.
RoadhogTime13 absolute rubbish. That red bull isn’t an awful car Albon simply isn’t good enough. If that red bull is capable of lapping the field then it’s capable of getting 4th no argument. Stop blindly defending a driver who is clearly not performing. He struggled to get past Russel in a Williams you mean to tell me that the red bull that is currently second in the standing is no more faster than a Williams that’s yet to score a point ? Get real if there’s anyone here who doesn’t understand formula 1 it’s you my friend.
RoadhogTime13 and please for the love of god not use the defence of “the car was built to suit max style of driving” because even Nico came out and said that argument is bullshit.
@RoadhogTime13 The car didnt have any problems, the retirement was clearly just to save face.
Also there were 12 cars remaining at Mugello, but excluding himself and the 2 mercs, there were only 9 other cars, out of which only 1 was anywhere close performance wise. If he hadnt gotten the podium, RB wouldve probably brought back Gasly then and there
Was looking forward to this
That was the best and funniest ending of a video i've ever seen, well done 😂😂
“Lewis has the best car”
Seb had the best car.
Michael had the best car.
Ayrton had the best car.
Even Fangio had the best car.
Success is more than the quality of the car the drivers have.
Heikki also had the best car.
Webber also had the best car.
Eddie Irvine also had the best car.
Berger also had the best car.
Sometimes it's team orders. Sometimes the other driver is better.
Best car can give you race wins and maybe a championship. The best driver in the best car can give you 91 race wins and 7 championships. It's not just winning, it's consistency.
The thing I don't understand is why the FIA stopped ferrari and redbull dominance after 4 years (with the 2005 and 2014 rule change) and then lets mercedes domination last for 8 years (there was a rule change in 2017, but it was not meant to stop the mercedes domain, it was due to the change of ownership of the f1).
In this way the statistics concerning the drivers lose their importance because it becomes only a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
Obviously Hamilton is a phenomenal driver and one of the best of all time, but in this way I don't think it's fair to compare the stats between the drivers.
p.s sorry for my bad english.
@@danielevespa1248 Ooorrrrrr Mercedes have just been the best after every regulation change. Mercedes doesn't need to be stopped, the other 9 teams have to stop being such failures and should get their shit together.
@@hkr667 Of course Mercedes have been phenomenal in the last 8 years, but when there is a rule change there is always one team that get an advantage and most of the times keeps it until the next rule change (just look at the redbull era).
Unfortunately when you have an advantage in this situation is really difficult for the other teams to catch up, because the leading team always keeps that "edge" over the opponents.
That's why every 4-5 years they usually change the regulation, for mixing up the situation.
If Mercedes doesn't need to be stopped and the other teams needs to work harder and beat them, why did FIA stop Ferrari back in 2005 (with that insane tyre rule)? And why did FIA stop redbull in 2014?
They should periodically change the rules, otherwise it becomes unfair to the teams that were stopped at the time.

Yes, Lewis has the best car, but to get the best car you need to be up at the top. People can argue that Schumacher had the best car too, soo what's your point?
You have to recognise that what Lewis is doing, it takes a fair bit to stay at the top. It is easier to win a championship then to defend a championship.
When your 'teammate' is encouraged not racing you and if he even tries ''Valtteri, its James''...You can race stress-free when you have the best car with no COMPETITION.
@@BlueWoWTaylan oh and that never happened when Schumacher was winning championships?? Oh wait it did!! It even happened in Redbull in Vettel's winning streak.
But Bottas didn't have the killer instinct to make dive bomb overtakes, he is always super hesitant when having to get passed someone. But while Lewis is winning everyone is going to hate, just like they did when Seb was always winning, like when Schumacher was always winning.
I still remember Lewis was shunned for the 'stupid' move to go to mercedes. They were a 2nd tier team and he would never win a championship in that mediocre car...!
Oh I have no clue, during the 2000-2006 season Ferrari got 145 podium finishes from 105 races ( that is 69% of the possible podiums ) , thats bloody good result. You do also know that Lewis was crucial in developing that Mercedes?? They were not even at the top when he joined that team, very very few drivers have been able to do that. Vettel failed to do that with Ferrari, Schumacher failed to do that with Mercedes, but did succeed with Ferrari, Alonso and Massa failed that with Ferrari.
Yes Mercedes is the best car, but you don't get the best car unless you are a bloody talented driver. You're not going to throw a Latifi into that car, or a Yuji Idea, or Pascal Wehrlein. If they thought someone else was better then Lewis and could dominate the championship even if Lewis was in the redbull, they would put them in that car over Lewis.
Yeah I agree some of the great drivers don't get the cars they deserve, but you're saying the same crap that everyone was saying about Vettel and now majority are saying that he is one of the best of all time. Results talk, lets see if you and everyone else is still saying this shit in 10,15, 20 years time.
Everyone trys to talk down on the guy that's always winning, while he is winning.
Kvyat to Albon after the race: You came to me like a torpedo!
I honestly think that Vettel's problem is that the Ferrari has a ton of snap oversteer. He likes the planted predictability of a slightly understeery car, while Leclerc has a penchant for oversteer. The car was built more towards Leclerc for sure and vettel is struggling because of it.
3:13 Hulk, he needs a podium
9:57 The FiA deployed the safety car to make the race exciting
All i want to say about Lewis is, yeah, he’s a great driver, but he’s attitude is what rubs me the wrong way. Anytime something goes wrong he sounds like a child on the radio, blaming bono, or the team, or the rule book. He’s on track skill is amazing, but It’s hard for me to be a fan
I agree ( I’m a Riccardo fan ) but Lewis always reminds me of Tiger Woods. Both minority’s similar backgrounds started young with little money and support. But wow both are so competitive and determined that yea they kinda come off as whiny 😫 but man they get results ! Sure Lewis has the best equipment ( but so did Michael) and Lewis just always hitting his marks mistake free.
Lewis is the Lebron James of F1- massively talented, but not necessarily the smartest (or the greatest) in the sports' history. Your victory tally doesn't tell the full story...
Once again upload time ruined my sleep schedule
Also passionate about High School Musical. Matt is my hero.
That intro.... FFFFFFFLIPPING GOLD MATE
Albon 5 seconds penalty, never mind am retiring from the race
Max needs a rear gunner to enable RB close the gap to Mercedes
the 2020 season feels good, much more boring than before
lol
Amazing
Well we have had a few gems
If it weren't for austria, monza, and Tuscany, this year would be pretty shite.
@@tbgms2542 no tuscany was boring but the others are ok
Walter Röhrl on the tractor as a reference to Grosjean finishing 9th MADE MY FEKKIN DAY!
I died when Matt did the impression of safety car pushing LOL
I will see you in 12 months when Hamilton will somehow be a 9 time world champion
Is not like Schumacher didn't have the best car in his era... 😅
Yeah but there was always a close battle with either Mclaren or Williams
OK, Schumacher had a truly dominant car in 2002 and 2004 sure, I'll give that to you but in 2000, 2001 and 2003 there was actually a close battle with Williams, McLaren and Renault.
Not gonna take anything away from Lewis, but has there hasn't been any real competition for Mercedes in 5 of the last 7 years? (I've excluded 2017 and 2018)
@@WayfairingPilgrim BUT lewis has had to race his team-mate , where michael had the number 1 contract (his teammate had to give way to him every race!!) ,how many times did his teammate have to let him past and not race him, even the crowd ended up booing him for passing rubens with team orders!!
@@sj-qn4uy are you saying Hamilton has been racing bottas or vettel without team orders?
@@WayfairingPilgrim There's not much difference. You can claim that in 2014-2016-2017-2018 he had close battles with Nico and Vettel. The only difference for Michael was that he had to worry about a driver from another teams more. Barrichello only got 9 wins and 9 poles as schumachers teammate for 6 seasons!!! But people think Bottas is doing so bad with 9 win and 14 poles in 3 and a half season with Lewis.
Stayed awake for this!
Matt, you were the only other guy who mentioned Giovinazzi after the race.
We are the rarest fans who know how to appreciate even the smallest thing and enjoy the race. Cheers mate.
Lewis deserves his glory, the man is bound to break the record. And no-one became a legend with a subpar car, so I don't see the hate for him. You don't have to like Lewis as a person. But you can't give him free hate as a driver. I don't like seeing Mercedes one twos every time, but I'm not gonna hate the man for winning... Michael would have totally been there yesterday, and would've been happy for Lewis.
Anyone else missed when Schumacher held 91 wins
I miss when Senna had the most poles
Me
@sports person Schumacher had a superior car as well. Just like Lewis.
@@biscuitcase83 Think you must have been in an alternate reality. Senna never had more wins than Prost.
@@Malwontae
Sorry I got momentarily confused. Oops
there are other records you know.
Michael beat Senna's number of Pole records.
Senna 65
Schumacher 68
Thanks, edited my post
I'm giving you a like just for that cold opening
We all love Matt
Even his new girlfriend. Probably...
