I really feel for the oldest daughter in the second concern.. Favouring one child over another is the worst thing you can do as a parent. Of course she'd end up resenting her sister.. 😢

I really love my brother and in general all siblings should take care of each other is what I feel

First concern: mother must be feel bad for the rest of her life because of what her daughter said ( she wants to leave her mother)
Second concern: I always feel like oldest sister. Even if I die no one care about me and no one will understand how the oldest feel. She must have no one to talk to and keep all the thing by herself.

I can really relate to the second concern. Especially to the oldest. I'm the oldest and I'm closer to my father and my younger sibling is closer to my mother. I always felt that my mother favoured my brother because he was sensitive and innocent and got good grades and was kind ect. He is her ideal child. I wasn't the kindest nor the smartest. I got good grade but they were never as good as my brothers as my mom would say. I am nothing like my mother and we have no similarities which makes it hard for me to agree or get along with her. She sees black and white and I see red. Were complete oopposites which caused us to fight a lot and grow distant. My farther on the other hand was my best friend......I only felt truly happy at home when my farther was around. He was always proud of me and never belittled me and I'm crying now just thinking how my life would be like if he passed away.
So I can really relate to the oldest sister and have a connection with her. Although I never drank, I drew and painted pictures.

I felt really bad for the elder sister in the second concern. She has gone through a lot. Mom is completely wrong. She is the one who made this conflict between sisters.
The brother from the first concern looks like he's cheerful but you can tell that because his parents are so focused on his 'smarter' sister he probably feels left out. (Also he reminds me of Jeongin)
Honestly although Yeongja doesn't have any kids she sure does understand them a whole lot better than their parents no offence.

I can really relate to the oldest because I went through that phase of feeling as if no one loved me and so a lot of problems occurred and it's very hard to express why you feel that no one would care if you died or fell sick

Second concern:
I definitely understand how the oldest daughter feel. Her Mom is obviously the reason why she behaves like that. She resent her mom because she favor her second daughter yet she need to scarified for her by drop out school. I hate it when the mom said that the second one is sweet like her, i can imagine that she blamed the oldest for every fight they had. And the second daughter is so self-centered. Your unnie drop out from school because you need to go to college since you are smarter than her and work her ass out at young age yet had the gut to said that she didn't try hard enough for scholarship. Also when you cried over how she favor the youngest one instead of you, well not her fault why she behaves like that. When you get hurts, you tend to say harsh thing to other people because you doesn't want to look as weak.
BTW I LOVE YOENGJA . I LOOOOOVEEEEE HER

and I'm really tired of it, because I have a lot of responsibilities, I have to take care of them, etc

I think most of the eldest child in the family will share the same feelings. But the only things we have to do is keep our feeling to ourself and ended up hurting our own feelings. I think because of this I have problem to express myself to other people

It's kind of "normal" beating your childs and nobody will say anything in some places. For example in my country a lot of people do that, even my parents did to me. But everyone seems to be normal with it, because is useful to "control" childrens. Honestly is not something I think should be normalized but well, the society is like that...

Oh, my, I can relate so much the eldest daughter of the second concern. When I was younger, my dad lost his job and we had a hard time, I learned to don't ask for things that were not necessary, like candies or CD's (from One Direction 🤭), or even a little more of food; but when my brother grew a little bit, he would receive a lot of things, like brand shoes or toys, my parents would stop eating and give it to him if he wanted more, and it really bothered me because I felt that it was very selfish

Personally, i think that the younger sister don't really care about the older sister. She didn't even really look at her when the eldest tried to talk and look at her. She also demanded for another apology when the sister is trying hard to apologize to her. I might be biased since i'm the eldest too. But, listening to the concern and also the favoritism the mom had, i really felt for her.

I was pushed into a few things here and there by my patriarchal father, and none of it worked. I tried to rebel but being the coward I was, gave in and finally followed his footsteps, knowing very well that I had nearly zero interest in it. The whole enterprise turned out to be a total fiasco (though I was able to secure a job). So where am I today? Nowhere. So parents trying to push their children in certain directions they prefer should just stop before doing so and rethink. Mother knows best or father knows best is not an actual truth, just so you know. Freedom is necessary for humans to make a difference in this world. Don't kill their potentials for the sake of your overinflated egos.

The mother in the 2nd concern... I don't know how to say this... but she kind of made me angry. Really angry. In my eyes she is a big reason why these two sisters didn't get along. She told the oldest she would have to drop out of college because there wasn't enough money but she still had the nerves to compare the grades and achievements of the younger sister with the ones from the older sister... lol.

Is it just me or every problem between siblings starts with parents favoritism and words, and treatment? Second concern mother is hateful. I'm angry for the oldest. I'm the oldest too. Somehow i understand the oldest. She is hurt, hate and angry but she has responsibilities that she can't ignore...
And also the first concern, the mother gave so much scars and painful memories to her children, can't she at least let her daughter live her own life. After all the pain, now she's forced to live her mother's live.. Unfair?
