- Ep.266 : I'm concerned because of my daughter. She loves meat too much! When I didn't give her meat, she starved for three days and ended up in the hospital. It's killing me to cook meat for her all the time. Please help me! I have a good looking child who is a senior in high school. People say my child is so handsome! But that's upsetting for me to hear. Why? I have a daughter! What will I do about her? I have two sons and a lot of concerns. I don't want to go home. It's a battle at home. Do the two sons fight? No. My two sons are very close. They fight with my father. I'm stuck in between and going crazy!

I know. She's a grown ass woman. She's 18! I cook for myself all the time. What will happen when she moves out? But I can't help but feel the blame is partially on the parents as well. As you said, she's spoiled. Her parents probably fed her lots of meat growing up, and have her what she wanted. And now that she's old enough to make her own decisions, she throws a fit. Her parents need to stop treating her like a princess, but it's gonna come back to her in the future. She seems very immature as well...

Like I'm a picky eater but I try to eat food that I don't like their are some food that I can't force myself to eat such as; meat and bread at the same time or I will feel sick but that girl is being extremely spoilt

The father in the second concern should let the daughter dress the way she wants since she feels really uncomfortable in skirts and other girly things, also a parent should never try to make their children feel uncomfortable so that their children can fit in. But a do have to say my jaw almost hit the ground when I saw her makeover.

Be feminine is not having long hair, wear make up, heels and a dress. it should be subtle things for her that is not used to girly, she could just do her nails and enjoy it or wearing earrings or bracelets or something. some girls just don't feel like doing the whole package and its fine.

The girl at the first concern has a selective eating disorder. It's when a person only wants to eat a certain type of food. I know this girl who has only been eating ramen for years and this other girl who only eats chicken nuggets and a guy who only eats cheese pizza. They cannot eat any other type of food they always throw up when they do. But yeah her attitude is too much and she's so immature she can cook by herself at her age.

As someone with selective eating disorder (I’m not nearly as picky as the ones you’ve mentioned though, I eat several things but not a lot), I was kind of offended watching them “mock” her bc it’s not something you can do anything about w/o maybe professional help. On the other hand, if it’s dangerous she does need to change her eating habits to a healther diet and it’s wrong of her to be so rude to her family. I know my eating habits are a problem for my parents at times, so I make food myself.
I know this is an old comment, but I'm watching the episode now and I want to point out this is wrong. She just ate something else in the form of meat and was fine. So we know she CAN eat other foods and not throw up. Therefore, this is just her being picky and spoiled. It has nothing to do with an eating disorder.

I HATE it that they forced that tomboy to get a makeover, what kind of message is it sending to your daughter that you don't value her unless she looks a certain way, and the last time I checked Korea does have male radiologists treating female patients.
I think that in part his concern is valid because people misunderstanding her for a man can put her in dangerous situations. Now about her appearance I thought she was cute and her voice was pretty too... But she should use the female uniform in school even though she hate using skirts (I hate it too).

the stylist ruined the girl of the 2nd concern....she could have put some make up (eyeliner, lipstick and blush would've been enough) and styling her hair, like that the girl would've be less afraid of make up and she would be more feminine. That was too drastic for her, the wig and pink dress was way to much...

The grandpa in the 3rd concern just frustrated me. I'm 15 and whenever i say i'm stressed from school or complain about literally anything all i hear is "WHEN YOUR GRANDMA WAS YOUR AGE SHE ALREADY HAD 2 KIDS" . Times have changed. People aren't getting married at 11 years old anymore. Why do you compare me to that *every* time?
I wish that the father in the 2nd concern would let his daughter be free and express herself as she wishes. She seems like a good kid overall and it's not good to put her down when she's just doing what she feels is comfortable.

I know that elderly people are still "living in their times" and that they have the same mindset as society did when they were young...but wouldn't it be good of them to think about everyone else? The grandfather in the last concern is just...ugh. Did he ever think that the sons go into their rooms because they don't want to be out and about while their grandfather is always hounding them? Not everyone wants to live the same way, and everyone has certain things they can handle and so each person deals with stress different ways. I wish the grandfather would realize that and not be so hell bent on his family living their life like his. I can understand the values that come with living like that, but times have changed and it feels like the elderly don't even realize it.

She reminds me of Amber of F(x). Amber's androgynous and is a tomboy, but the girl in the second concern doesn't wear make up. In my opinion she shouldn't have to go up what society thinks she should wear to be classified as a female like her father saying she should wear skirts more and she should grow her hair out.

I don't like how they gave the second girl a makeover at the end. It's the other people in all cases that are wrong, not her. If someone tries to beat you up because you are a boy and he thinks he can do that for a reason like that, that's fcked up. She's comfortable in her own skin, if she gets interested into make up later that would be fine.
Well they did say that it wasn't a concern and that it was about breaking gender stereotypes and I guess the makeover part was more to not leave the dad with any complains, but still it was a bit awkward. And let's not even talk about how vulnerable you are when you are a woman compared to if people think you are a man. Why the heck would you be more worried for your daughter's safety if she looks like a dude?

As much as I would like to say something about the first daughter, her mother raised her. Who buys the meat? Her mother. Who prepares the meat? Her mother. Who enables this behaviour? Her mother. I honestly cannot understand how a behaviour that should be fixed at a young age has gotten this serious. You raised her - you created the situation you complain about. The first concern annoyed the heck out of me. The last concern was relatable to me because my Grandfather and Dad act like the grandfather in there lol
My grandfather is like the grandfather in the third story. But tbh, I really love him the way he is. He never complimented me either and he always used to say that my interests weren't worthwhile but I also used to see him look at my paintings and the things I made and smile. He has a tough exterior but a soft heart but people can't really get close to him because of his slightly blunt words. In any case he met his match in my little sister, they fight everyday but they enjoy it too... 😂😂😂 (She's only seven 😉)
For the second girl, it's not a concern at all! She's just a tomboy, and there is nothing wrong with that. She should be able to dress and look however she wants to!

seriously the second case is not a concern. the father should understand that his daughter is doing nothing wrong, wearing pants and having short hairstyle are not sins. the problem is not his daughter, it's how people treat her. He should tell people "this is my daughter, don't treat her this way, don't misunderstand" and not telling his daughter "i wish you'd have a feminine hobby like knitting, wear skirts, have long hair, wear makeup, dance sexily". I don't see a big problem with the second concern. The girl may dress or look like a boy but she does have feminine tendencies and charms to me. Like Cheetah said if you leave her she will find her own way. Maybe the dad should get her closer fitting jeans and girly button up shirts to start? The only real problem with her is that other people mistreating her and wanting to get into fight thinking she is a boy. If short hair really is convenient for her she can get a slightly more feminine cut but it will still be short. About her future job yes even I might feel uncomfortable at first stripping in front of my doctor if I thought they were a male. But that is a long way and I'm sure she will learn to be a little bit for feminine or even if she doesn't it will only be the first encounter I'll be apprehensive about. Once patients get more comfortable and clearly know she won't have a problem. FIGHTING~

not really familiar with her, but her 3/4 profile reminds me of Park Bom except for the eyes. I'm sure she didn't get her face done with the intention to look like Park Bom, but that's the impression she gives at first glance. I think PS has better results if one turns out to be a better or enhanced version of yourself rather than having some celebrity's nose, cheeks, eyes, chin, etc... It makes for a more varied faces compared to this cookie cutter gangnam look they have there now

1st concern: in most cases if the child is spoiled, it's the parents fault... they're too soft and let her blackmail them emotionally... probably gave her everything she wanted from a young age and now she thinks she's entitled to all this... stil i feel sorry for her family
2nd: how is this problematic in any way? if she's happy and comfy the way she is, then let her be... she's not harming anyone and all those "concerns" are just excuses for wanting someone to fit into society/gender norms but guess what, fuck gender stereotypes! but i'm glad the hosts and audience were treating this with an open mind and didn't force the idea of being more feminine on her
3rd: i kinda understand both... like the grandfather is very strict and leads a diligent life and that's great, and he wants his son and grandsons to be their best selves too but sometimes you just gotta let people live their life and not think you always know what's best for them... people need freedem and if you're constantly trying to take it away from them, restricting them in everything they do, never satisfied, always complaining you're going to make them resent you eventually

The second concern isn't really a concern and this probably marks one of the few times that a makeover didn't work, because it didn't suit her for a variety of reasons (colour, style etc)and she looks uncomfortable like that! Take a leaf out of The DUFF young woman and if you feel like transforming, still keep your uniqueness.
Also, some Korean men are *far* too rude to their fellow men if those tales her father told were anything to go by ...
