The asus app doesn't give me the option to install the bios update, it only downloads them to my pc
same. would love an explanation on wth to do with these files bc i don't want to mess anything up. it's incredible how this video was released 2 weeks ago and is already either out of date or only applies to windows 11.
edit: i figured it out
- put zip file in an easy to access location like your desktop
- extract zip file
- run "biosrenamer" (this might be optional but i did it anyway)
- windows key -> power -> shift + restart
- troubleshoot, advanced, UEFI Firmware Settings
- once in BIOS, enter "advanced" mode
- navigate to "tools" or wherever "EZ Flash" is located for you
- find the drive your bios file is on, the list of directories should look similar to what it looks like in file explorer when in windows.
- go to users -> youruser -> desktop (or wherever you stored the bios file) and run it
- follow the steps it tells you to do from there
once you're back in windows, you might have an issue of it telling you your PIN won't work due to a security change, but don't worry, press sign in options and use password and the password should be the same as the PIN you're used to. this obvi only applies if you used a PIN to begin with!

@@itoapuon You can use one if you want to, but you shouldn't need one as long as you know how to navigate files on drives. It should look very similar to what your file explorer already looks like in windows.

And what do you mean Sift+restart? (can I click restart bottom?)
@@itoapuon The bios files should show if they are unzipped and in the correct location that you are looking in. It can be tricky to find if you have multiple drives or multiple "desktop" locations. If they're actually not there, I would recommend downloading them to an empty flashdrive so there can be no confusion or difficulty.
Shift + Restart just means hold the shift key down when clicking the restart button in the start power menu. It gives you custom restart options such as going straight into the BIOS without having to figure out which key to mash on startup.

You can check the download section for confirmation. If you're using the FX506HC laptop model, the latest version of BIOS you'll find is 311.

Hi, I am using the ROG STRIX B660-A GAMING WIFI D4, bios version 2214, I tried to upgrade with the newest one 3212 via bios ui but nothing happened, it always stuck on the update screen. Could you give me a hint?
You must update all the bios published mid april on your website. The intel default settings are not set correctly. We still need to modify manually some settings. This is unacceptable, just read and apply correctly the intel charts. I can't believe that with the default settings of my Asus Apex XIII my 11700k was running at freaking 1.40v just for 0.1Mhz more than Intel standards !!! We are not youtubers or influencers, we can't afford new cpu's every year and we do not want to risk our cpu lifespan like this.
How about updating older models? Prime A320M-K? I downloaded files update from the website and keep getting "This is not a BIOS file" error.

I have "Asus TUF Gaming B660-M PLUS WIFI D4" motherboard on my pc. It had bios of v0418 which was first release. I tried to update it to v3210. I downloaded zip file, extracted it, put file in flash drive and entered bios. I updated to this version. I had to do this in two step- one for Intel ME, and then main BIOS. It showed me version after updating complete and a successful popup. Then, when i click exit button (had only one choice of clicking exit button), computer shutdown completely. It is not starting now. Though rgb lights on motherboard are on when plugging into electricity. What should i do now.

Please confirm if there is a backlight symbol on the F7 key on the keyboard. If you cannot find the backlit keyboard hotkeys or the User Manual is without the backlit keyboard information on the hotkeys chapter, your laptop may not support the backlit keyboard feature.

I was actually trying to do these,because my asus tuf f15 has connection issues,the bouetooth and wifi icon are dissappearing,i solved these issue recently from laptop repairer,it worked for 1-2 days without any issues,but now again whenver i connect my bt airdopes the airdopes disconenects and then my bt icon dissapears,i dont think there is any problem with my bt device,cuz i use it smoothly on my mobile,i cant get to depth,hope asus finds paemmanent fix,and im 100% sure hardware drivers are safe and sound its software issue

I tried to update bios using asus website, I installed the exact and last version, but in each restart, the device open bios update choice by ez flash and I click noto complete boot

Myasus only download the file like others users say, we are in 2024! I never had a similar problem with MSI, they have much better software. I bought a B650 plus, i cant update the bios and the boot is very low!
