1976 Ken came to my school to debut his "Moses" song. Phenomenal. Gives me goosebumps to this day!! TY Frank Boggs for introducing us to Ken Medema. 😊

Ken came to Australia in 1983. I first saw and heard him at a Christian music conference in Novar Gardens, Adelaide, South Australia. ❤️

Just listened to several CZcams clips of Ken Medema and couldn't stop smiling ear to ear. I used to listen to him back in the 80's. Someone had given me some cassette recordings and I listened to those for years (until technology changed so much). I was feeling properly down today (long story) and the moment I started listening to 'Moses' from the Azusa Pacific University recording, I just started smiling. Ken, you've touched so many lives. I thank God for you and that you chose to live instead of feeling sorry for yourself.

Wow! I love this. Ken came to our church and. he also came over our house for dessert and coffee too! We had a piano at home, so asked him if he had ever played the moonlight sonata and he said that he hadn’t played it in years, but he would give it a try. Of course he played it wonderfully from memory. His musical stories still ring in my mind like it was yesterday. GOD bless you Ken!!

This is incredible. I was in awe over a live concert video (“Moses”) that was mentioned in the book “Thrive” by Mark Hall (Casting Crowns) - and never did it occur to me even once that this man was blind. What a great uplifting and life affirming documentary. They sure don’t make them like they used to.

I have followed Ken since the early 1970's. Gone to his concerts whenever possible. Read his book about his life but this really fleshed out the man for me. Thank you.

Enjoyed reading Ken Medema's Story, and Jane has done such a great job of giving us little glimpses into their world, throughout a lifetime of being "well lived"!. Many years ago in a church in Sudbury Ontario Canada (Pastor Jim Cantelon) we were treated to a wonderful concert by Ken and he was such a blessing to all of us, regardless of age. Our kids were young teenagers at the time and he made such an impression that they can still sing a couple of their favourites that he sang back then; Mr. Simon, and Moses. (our kids are now 63, 61 and 57). We allso got to enjoy another of Ken's concerts in a Baptist Church in Lakeland FL. There were over 20 of us Canadians who stayed at the Holiness Camp Ground during the winter months, after retired way back in our 50's and we have been blessed so much to be treated to such amazingly talented individuals like Ken Medema!

Mr. White, thank you so very much for posting this video of Ken! I have been a fan of his since the mid 70's when I heard SonShiny Day and got that album. He is an amazing person; such an inspiration to me. God bless you for putting this up and sharing it!

Thank you Mel.Ken is one of my favorite singers I've had in my life of now fifty nine years.I thank God for making Ken the way he did so that I'd begin to understand him and how he worked in people not just in the Bible.

Saw him perform in church this morning and was blown away by his gorgeous voice. Went back this afternoon for a musical program he was in. He is beyond amazing. I had no idea he was blind.

This must be from the years when Ken was just getting started. Nice to not only hear from his wife, Jane, but also from his parents as well as his son; I was sad to hear his mom died sometime within the last year or two.
I’ve been a huge fan of his since I saw him at an international youth gathering that my church did in the summer of 2005. Being blind myself, I kind of feel like him and I are kindred spirits. Love his music, his stories, his ability to connect with everyone from every conceivable background, and everything else about him! I especially love how much his music has evolved over the years from your, shall we say, stereotypical Christian music to more of a social commentary on the disenfranchised/marginalized peoples of the world, issues like hunger, poverty, homelessness etc., and how God is calling all of us to look out for and care for each other.

I saw Ken at a conference in 1990 and have loved his singing and creativity every since. This story is helping me with my own disability. So thank you!

It's okay to have a young adult, mad at God season. God can handle it. Eventually we learn: God is ABBA FATHER
