I recommend his autobiographical book ‘Tough Crowd’. A great read which explains it all.
Because they folded and bowed to the oppressive narrative being purveyed. Adapt or die, in other words. Graham Linehan lost everything but retained his dignity and ability to think like an individual, not a sheep.

How hypocritical that you make money by showing Graham Linehan’s (cowritten) masterpeice but you have cancelled him, refusing to provide him with any more work, destroying his career, because he expressed the simple truth that sex is immutable. Shame on you.

Back when Graham Linehan could write comedy, and wasn't a hate-filled bigot like those this episode satirises.
And what has he said or written that is hate filled? The Cass report came out on his side, proving what he has said for years. The Tavistock was shut down after whistle blowers revealed the shocking truth. We are living in an era when there is one accepted way to think, and anyone who dissents is destroyed. It’s terrifying.
