John and Mary always squabbling and back biting then in each other's arms when Ted or Dougal turn up
I love the way they do that.

Father Dougal nicks the lollipops and then Mary says” your looking great anyway” a classic Dougal expression of trying to access if Mary can really see him. The whole time as if Mary being in the cubby is perfectly natural. These days you need this humor.

There’s saying in Welsh “Angel penffordd a diawl pentan” meaning “An angel on the road and a devil on the hearth.”
That seems to sum up lots of marriages haha. Lots of front, lots of grief behind the scenes!
