  • The fishing communities of Kiribati, a Pacific nation comprising 33 small islands, speak about their loss of livelihood and erosion of their culture at the hands of destructive and oversized fishing vessels operating under European flags, ownership or management.
Overfishing is a global problem with alarming and indisputable consequences: 90 percent of global fish stocks are currently overexploited.
Support low impact fishers and help ensure fair fishing.

There are a lot of nuclear tests were in Kiribati in 1960th. What about radiation level now? I know that a big Caranx was available for fishing. Is it possible now to have GT Caranx like 40-50 kg one fish?

i'm from kiribati and i'm very ashamed from this monster boat this is the reasons why the children and parents of kiribati are very hungry over fishing causes kiribati to starve to death kiribati is a very small island and the people are trying to provide there islands food but the people in kiribati are complaining about these monster boat ships because some parents are out of money and food they should stop over fishing or we will lose a 100,000,000 of fishes in the world monster boats should have a boundaries from kiribati so they don't fishes please who ever is doing this should stop or ill lose my beloved land :(

Wait hold on. Why won't the Government of the Kiribati Islands use regulation to stop boats from over fishing. Go straight to the U.N and talk about over fishing and cause of Climate change. They should fish every 5 or 7 years to let the tuna produce more and more tuna.
