Not cycled or run but walked vigorously for a time I was warm and I'd say very breathable.

I would definitely keep the medium, the small is too small, imo. You need room to have a mid layer underneath like a alpha hoodie. The alpha hoodie provides warmth and the wind shirt will provide wind protection.
To me the small fitted over the insulation well with room
It's a lightweight jacket I'd not use it with many layers under it . Max one or two
The medium was like a sail on me lol

Why not a Zpacks Ventum? 53g, hooded, covers your bum. I size mine to go over a light fleece.
It sounds like they make great and interesting kit. I see light waterproofs and all. If I was in usa I'd be tempted indeed friend is there I might order a arc pack later in year and see if he can bring it ... MLD are very good in that way... I've so much I do need to be a bit sensible ish lol if they gave me one I'd not say no lol

Excellent questions. It's probably tougher than appears but yeah I'd want to be careful.. it probably won't tear but could pull or catch too easily 🤔 it's for very light trips when weight critical and use others when weight not so critical
