I'm not a big lad, don't look hard, not really a fighter at best of times, first timer, nervous, not sure what was gonna happen but got no trouble whilst in. Partly because I said "Hi/safe/you good etc when passing people but didn't really get involved with people, didn't tick anything, just played pool or table tennis, went for football etc so was social, just not involved. Another reason was half the wing thought I was some sorta undercover news reporter, the other half thought I was working working for the actual prison or g4s.
Was on some jungle wings in Parc, as an english lad, but I proved if you play it calm, show respect, keep ya head down, you'll get through it ok!!

Can happen to the best of us unfortunately. I got told I can go on trial or go guilty n except a suspended sentence (got into an argument with a bus driver and it escalated). Hadn't seen the kids for 3 months so went guilty to speed up seeing them. Next thing I know, 16 month custodial 🤦♂️
*Just in case anyone reading is facing prison n worried about their kids.....
In Parc, I got access to Bernardos, they helped me get the ball rolling so I could see them when released. We wrote a letter to the judge and for my first hearing, I arrived at the family courts in a prison van, handcuffed and escorted by 3 prison officers (not a good look but anything to see the kids). I'd been released by the time I was finally granted contact. Long story short, after several years, 3 weeks ago, I was awarded full permanent care of my two children.
Never give up, your kids need you!!

Prison is full of good guys who were put in a bad situation, usually because of an idiot or drink/drugs, and made a mistake.
Glad you made it through OK though. And glad you're in touch with your kids. I'm a single dad, so I know how important they are.

Do VPs ever come into contact with the other prisoners for example during visiting, when they go to the gym and library and so on? If yes, what stops the prisoners from the who work in the library and gym from attacking the VPs?
They have separate times so never come into contact with cons on normal location
Yea they never come into contact even visiting or any other thing they are in different rooms you cant see them as brother is in normal wind and was on about it to us. There are very rare times you might see one in med bay as even ricky from the vid has a vid/story of seeing the infamous c killer and was with other people that went for them but they have screws with them and get moved fast if they get seen as the screws/prison are in trouble if they get hurt under there care. But that is rare to come across.
And he is right about not all VPs are s offender as my brother works the best job at front desk and gets to see who comes in and says he saw a small 19 year old comes in skinny looking guy under drug crimes and screws recommended they go to VP as they think he would get bulled if in normal so he did but the problem is if you go to VP you are automatic stuck with s offender status even if your not that's why so many people try avoid VP wings as you then have to be with the real s offenders knowing what they did and people don't want to live with them.
