I actually did exact Norcal to my leveled 2010 Silverado Z71 myself and it worked perfectly last year til i got my lift. Thanks to Shawn and Custom offsets. Keep doing the videos they really help.

Yeah we were doing this to trucks in the 1990s at the tire shop I worked at. In central Oregon where we hate anything from California. Especially the parasites that leave.
Agreed . I'm from the South and we had lifted trucks and big tires before California had running water. I guess if you call a NorCal mod beating your metal in with a sledge hammer... I guess you can keep that name then
I did the exact same thing to my truck. (07 Avalanche) I learned by watching your videos of the earlier models. So thanks for that also you can add to you title that it's for the same year Avalanche's and Tahoe's
I would strongly recommend giving it a shot if you are not sure the cut is super easy and bending the metal in the right spots is easy. After I completed the mod I fit 33 by 12.5 perfectly.

I have a 2019 Silverado 2500 ltz and would love to see this done on one around my years. I have a slight rub and a norcal tuck would probably do the trick. Setup is 3.5" fabtech/stealth Shocks with 20x10 -24 4play wheels on 33x12.50.

Got a 2013 Silverado 1500 with a readylift leveling kit, order 20x10 moto metal 970s with 33x12.5. I also had wheel spacers and I had to do a hell of a lot more cutting lol
what all did you cut? did you cut the pinch welds completely out of it

i have the 3 inch level up on my 11 silverado and it avoided having to do any of that cutting, just had to pull the plastics back.
Will this work on 2011 Silverado 35x12r22 I shaved the front and it cleared and now it's rubbing the back and looks like this would stop it but before I hack away my truck I wanna know if it's gonna do any good cause of the video being 33s
when you guys do the spotlight videos could you show a shot at full crank ( front and rear of the tire ). the 2016 chevy silverado high country video would of been awesome to see how much rubs or to see how close it is
Try doing the north cal mode on a 2nd gen dodge on 20 or 22X12’s on a 325/50r22 or 35X12.5r20

rancho 2inch adjustable shocks come factory , levels it easy and BEAUTIFUL no spacers ..got on mine rancho all the way AROUND..800 total cost self install

I fit my 22x12 on 35s on a 1inch country lift kit and did my own modifications had to remove windshield water tank on my 07 tahoe
did you remove the tank or just relocated it

Hello i have a 7.5 lift with 20x14 on 35s and at full turn it berly clears how can i make some fender flares fit with out rubbing?
You would most likely rub with fender flares, i would recommend to possibly trim it back a little bit or go with a taller lift if possible to avoid trimming.

I have an 08 Sierra with a Motofab 3 inch front 2 inch back. Wanting to put the same wheel but different tire. I guess I’m asking if the tires are still going to rub the fluid tank but I guess you’d have to see it to know. Just trying to get the same look kinda.

So similar subject, would a 20x9, either 0 or +18 offset with 305/55r20 have to go through this much trimming or would it be plastic rub?

I hear them mention the rims offset. Seems like a 12.5 tire on a 0 offset rim would work with no norcal.

@@CustomOffsetsTV so I just did the NorCal mod and it was fairly simple. It took me less than 2 hours of time. 15 spent on jacking car up since I did one side at a time. Anyone that's comfortable cutting should be able to do this.

Is that emergency brake cable showing? I've thought about getting the 3 and half inch lift kit, and try to fit that same wheel and tire set up.

Joe Armstrong I run 33’s with a 3 inch kit & don’t come close to rubbing. I know you can run 35’s on a 3 inch kit and it rub slightly. I’m not sure how much it would run on a 2 inch kit though
32s . I have a Rough County 2 inch struts lift in the front, RC says you can run up to 32s but will rub a little when you turn your wheels backing up at full crank.

a 10 wide -18 wouldn't require as much of a norcal, as it doesn't sit out as far. But the concept is the same just not ass intrusive of cutting/folding of metal!
i have a 2013 Z71 LTZ with a 2.5 rough country kit on it. 20x10 Helo HE835 rims with -18 offset with 33x12.5R20 Lt tires no trimming, or rubbing.

33x12.50R18 is what I just bought. Looks like I'm gonna be leaning on this video a bit
James Sorrells that ain't much bigger just wider a 305 is pretty much a 33. He has another video where they do it on a silverado. If the front rubs you can take that plastic that runs across under the front bumper off
