    You don’t need a new SIM card for every country in the EU! Just buy one that’s valid for all of the EU. I bought a HoT SIM card in Austria for €10 and it gave me 10GB of EU data outside of Austria

    Hey Noah, im about to leave for a similar trip and am wondering more about the flight baggage allowance and being allowed a personal item/smaller bag + your bag, which would be ideal. do you have any knowledge of eastjet or ryanair flights perhaps?

    • @noahanderson14
      @noahanderson14  Před měsícem

      I flew RyanAir once! I elected to get a “Cabin Bag” which was my backpack you see in the thumbnail. I also brought along a collapsible day trip bag that I unfolded and used as my personal item. I talk about this more in my packing video which you can find here czcams.com/video/wIGEJLG1p7A/video.htmlsi=5z0yb02QXsx5rHDv. Let me know if that helps! :)

    How much would you recommend having in the bank account to take with you after accommodation costs etc?

    • @noahanderson14
      @noahanderson14  Před 2 měsíci

      Hey Sophie! For me I had a solid amount left over in my account. I think a $90-$100/day budget is very attainable, so if you budget for that, and have maybe an extra $20/day leftover you should be fine? For instance, if your trip is 20 days, $2,400 should be plenty for all of your expenses (assuming you’re not going in the peak season and you strategically book your travel in advance.) Let me know if this helps or if you’re looking for something else!

    question why not the eurail pass was it cheaper to just fly and buss for you?

    • @noahanderson14
      @noahanderson14  Před měsícem

      I actually did go with the Eurail pass! I did the 10 day in 2 month pass. I added flights and busses in where train travel didn't make as much sense and when the flights/busses were simply cheaper. I also occasionally would just buy train tickets outright. It really was a case by case basis and based on the train prices and reservation fees. Ultimately, my recommendation would be to strategize your travel in advance to hit all the destinations you'd like to hit and you can save quite a bit of money!

    How did you manage working out while traveling? Did you buy one day gym passes wherever you went? And how much time did you spend working out each day and how did you find that time?

    • @noahanderson14
      @noahanderson14  Před měsícem +1

      Similar to when I’m at home! You just have to prioritize it! I bought a couple gym passes, but mainly did Yoga (I brought a travel yoga mat) and walking/biking/running! Usually 30 minutes per day max. I would wake up earlier typically to work out! Again you just need to make it a priority and it’s very attainable!

    what are the shoulder season months usually? planning to travel in june july august but everything seems so expensive

    • @noahanderson14
      @noahanderson14  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I think the “main season” is mid May - mid August. I believe “shoulder” would be March/April and September/October. From what I’ve heard from other backpackers, if you can avoid June & July you’ll save a LOT of money, namely on accommodation & Travel.

    • @travelwithchristina3960
      @travelwithchristina3960 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Peak season in Europe is July-September. Most Europeans travel in August so everything is especially packed then. December is also a busy time with the Christmas markets across the continent. Summer in Europe is suuuuper pricey so avoid it if you can. Otherwise, be strategic about where you go. Places like the Greek Isles, Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, Croatia will be uncomfortably crowded and eye watering key expensive. But places like Krakow, Plovdiv, Bucharest could save your wallet and your sanity.
