- Love Quarry Park! I cover every inch of it in this video including all three descending trails, pump track and skills park. So awesome to have this park so close to the Melbourne CBD!

Awesome overview. A perfect park for those starting out in MTB. THe kids bike was huge but he knows how to ride it. Skills!
Thanks! Skills indeed
Love the video!
Great video again .good to see the young kids taking up this great sport .
Thanks Joseph! Agree, such an awesome facility for the kids especially
Great to see the local kids shredding it an inner city park, hopefully more councils use this as a model to promote cycling, MTB and the sport in general.
Yes, I really hope so. It’s very popular
the first time i went i just skipped to dissent 3 bc my friends said it had the best jumps. keep up the good work fam
Killin it
Bruhhh that manual is sooo good
Thanks buddy
Went and checked the park out last night after watching your video. It's awesome to have a place like this just 15 minutes ride away!
Awesome, yes it’s so good!
Great video again! We live in the Southern suburbs and normally ride with a few family groups out at Lysterfield. Took 5 kids out to Quarry a couple of weeks ago and they were bored after 30 mins 😩. A long drive for that response unfortunately. A great spot if you’re a local who can ride and leave as you want. The designers have done a fantastic job with what they had to work with...3 trails in that small area is impressive. For me the blue rock on the trails are dangerous and the trails themselves are a little tight. Disappointingly for a planned park to not have a working public toilet was hard to fathom. Fortunately the cricket club were kind enough to let our 5 use theirs!
Thanks Jarrod. Agree with all of the above. I think they’ve done a great job with the tiny amount of land made available. Hopefully more councils follow suit so this park isn’t an anomaly
Great work mate! Can’t wait to pick up the new ex8 and will see you out there!
Nice! See you in the sky haha
It was great riding with you and the boys😄
Sure was James!
Another local here, and new to the sport. Definitely appreciate the detail 👍
Cheers Michael and welcome to the scene!
Hope we catch you on the trail again and ride with you👍
For sure, great to ride with you!
Must have just missed you out there as I was out there yesterday as well to give it a go. Great little facility for the inner city kids in particular. Agree with your comments on the loose surface though. I found it pretty hard to carry any great speed through the berms on the jumps trail but I'll give it another crack as it might just be a familiarity thing. I reckon it would be really good if they raked some of the crap off the surface as it seems to have a good clay base underneath. Not sure why they went with the screenings everywhere.
I think it’s a matter of getting used to it. From what I can tell / have read it’s about protecting the trail surface from erosion from tyres through hardening and aiding in water drainage
the go pro effect is real
I live in North Melb and had absolutely no idea this was here! Can't wait to check this place out after I get back on the bike (off injured at the moment).
Enjoy! Good luck with the recovery
@@longandwinding Thanks mate! Have just had a cortisone injection in my spine to relieve 3 prolapsed discs in my back. So currently binging CZcams and have been enjoying checking out your content to plan my XC rides as soon as I get the all clear to mtb again. Keep up the good work, love the content you're creating buddy.
Ben Johnson thanks mate! It’s comments like these that keep me motivated. Good luck with the recovery
Back in the early 2000's it was unofficially called 'Freeride Land'
Cliff face drops and step ups, doubles over upturned cars and fire drums - a place where young fellas made names for themselves -
good times
Wow amazing. Seems like things are a bit more refined now haha
Keen to see your Cascades video! I was there on Sunday and it has some seriously good downhill sections in the second half. I'm keen to see you try the A+ line between the first and second crossing
Nice! Can’t wait. Will look out for the feature. Hopefully my XC bike is up to the task 😳
@@longandwinding Sorry just to clarify it's not considered in anyway a "downhill" trail. Some of the sections are just fast steep berms. It drops a lot of elevation really quick so it's nice and fast. Xc bike will be fine with your skill level!
@@beetrainn Ah good to know!
looks great. we were there a month or so back. I was not sure if there was a direction that people were meant to take on the bigger pump track? looking forward to getting back there. I support your comments around other councils needing to build similar set ups.
Not really sure if there is a specific direction you should be taking on the pump track. Yes, more inner city bike parks!
Nice 1
Thanks!
glad we can agree descent 2 is better than descent 1
Is it currently closed right now bc of covid or can I still come here?
According to Bike West’s Facebook page the pump track is closed but the trails may be open facebook.com/470366963364198/posts/1041700976230791/?d=n
