      ​@@remymetaillerawesome video Remy!! quick question.. MOst of my trails are nowhere near this level so the PROPAIN HUGENE makes more sense.. Question is.. For the 3x a year i'm on trails like this.. Could these be done on the HUGENE with a 140mm fork with confidence still ?????

    Normally I don't like to hear the sound of squeaking brakes. In this video I actually like hearing/seeing the difference in braking between Remy and his neighbor. I imagine mine would be similar to his neighbor. Maybe more haha!

      I thought it interesting because I could hear 1 brake or 2. This helped me to hear brake control.

      ​@@MrDmadnessMaybe true, but way too bity for me. Have Shimanos on my hardtail, but would never ever run them on my serious bikes. Tried them many times before and just have very little control since it's like an on off switch. 0 modulation whatsoever. Imagine cars and trucks were the same? Everyone would be crashing since it's like slamming the brakes 🤣​

    The point about front wheel first on the drop is spot on! I found this by trying different things on a 1.5m rock drop to a flatish landing. Popping off it made a hard full compression hit 👍

    Impressive in those conditions! Really great to see more my level rider(above really considering the trail 😂) tackling stuff. Recognised some of the same body moves etc in my own riding, just need a Remy to follow me now to improve 😜

    Very cool video. Your neighbor shreds properly. Yeah, you can see his body is much more tense than yours on stepper and rougher stuff and his eyes somewhat look scared, but he has much more than basics of what to do and with time he will feel safe in what he is doing. Riding stuff you rode in wet is way above intermediate for sure :) Kudos to him.
    A bit disappointed with the click-bite'y title, but im glad he didnt hurt himself! I was watching last minutes of video with the follow cam with one eye closed hoping he is not gonna crash bad.

    He rides pretty good, but I see he have a problem with the position on bike, will be a good future video with him improving his position on the bike. I saw he stayed in attack position or squad when did not needed. Good ride Jack! Remy thank you for this types of videos, helped me a lot on trails. Love you!

    Dear Mr. Metaillier, excellent video and good explanation. The neighbour seems to be very skilled as well. As you asked where I would be interressted in, I would say Body Positioning on the Bike. When you ride steep sections, do you rather hinge and move the body back to stay tall ob the bike, or do you hinge and squad down or do you do something completely different. Would be cool to have your thoughts on this.

      Well, it’s pouring rain all day. Pretty much any brake is gonna squeal when it’s super when, until the braking action dries it off, but on those slippery trails, they never brake long enough for that to happen, they have to let off the brakes to ride across some slick root or rock, and then your back to a wet brake again.

      @@tjb8841 correct- it was raining hard all day long and we were doing the trail in small sections- the hayes brakes are generally much quieter than the sram ones I replaced.

      Shimano imo are the quietest brakes, avid and Hayes the loudest.

      I use 4 piston SLX with cheap Chinese ceramic pads from Ali… and center line rotors and they are 🤫 rotors and pads must be free from any oils if they don’t they can be noisy in wet conditions 🤔
