    Also needs a corner base and upper cabinet if not already in the library. When I use to do kitchens/cabinets I'd stay away from blind units unless I had no other choice.

    In regards to the filler, I want to fill the end of a run with a perpendicular wall on that end. If there is 19-21" left on the wall, I would select/place an 18" wide cabinet with a filler width to fill the balance. The way it's set up, the carcass width and filler is still 18.

    • @andrewpeel1996
      @andrewpeel1996  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah it would probably make sense for me to create a separate filler product that can be added next to a cabinet. I will be improving this functionality soon.

    For everyone's information and for consideration: The cabinet industry as a whole has categories. The main categories are framed and frameless. Sub-categories of both are stock, semi-custom and custom. When ordering the cabinet list is obviously very important. Stock line manufacturers sell a filler as a separate item from the cabinet, they need to be on the list. It's great the filler is automatically added to the perpendicular cabinet, but should not be included in the "width" of the cabinet. Blind corner cabinets are typically pulled from the corner. Multiple reasons, one out of square walls. This pulling needs to be shown graphicly to the installer on plan and elevation. So, the steps right now, unless I'm missing something are, pulling base cabinet, extending countertop to cover the void of cabinet, snapping the next cabinet and changing the placement back to the wall. So, simplify this please, thanks. :). This addon is great, don't get me wrong. I've gone from using 3-4 different pencil lead weights to Blender/Pyclone/Home Builder, with 5 other softwares in between. Imagine, drawing perspectives by hand. And, the client asks, "Can I see it from here, now?"

    • @andrewpeel1996
      @andrewpeel1996  Před 2 lety +3

      Yeah this is great information. I definitely plan to improve this functionality especially when i create reports for ordering cabinets. Consider joining the discord channel so we can discuss this further. creativedesigner3d.com/2021/09/08/discord-channel/

    What are the long term plans for this addon when blender finally gets it's asset manager. I have 5 or 6 addons that all add some sort of asset manager to blender in totally different ways so it would be nice if there could be a consolidation around the new blender features. But each addon is also doing unique things with the manner assets are added so I'm not sure if that would hurt the viability of the main assets editor for projects like this.

    • @andrewpeel1996
      @andrewpeel1996  Před 2 lety +6

      I plan to merge the functionality to work with Blenders asset browser, but it is still in development. When they have the design finalized I'll have a better idea of how I will go about it.

    Can you add click animations. So if I click on that wall corner cabinets door. It should open 90deg. So i can easily judge whether the door handle will hit the other door or not. Yes it can be done manually by rotating it. Not fun doing it in front of client. Similar click functionality to open drawers and close them.

    • @andrewpeel1996
      @andrewpeel1996  Před 2 lety +1

      I spent a lot of time looking into it, but the error is happening in Blenders Source Code. Undo is only an issue after dropping an asset. I have a feeling when Blender supports drag and drop in 3.0 I will be able to get the issue fixed. For now I have implemented easy ways to delete the assets, but I will get this resolved.
