Thank you for the video my good Sir! You seem like a great teacher, wish I was there learning in person with you. I truly appreciate you, your time, and your video!
Hi, thanks for the video and the in-depth analysis it is much appreciated as I have a similar model. Could I ask if you also removed/replaced the PCV valve and if so how you did this please?
This video comes at the perfect time! I also need to replace the Spark Plug Tube Seals on my 2006 Sentra. It has the same Valve Cover. Seeing that you can replace those gives me some hope here as I can't find a new cover online anywhere. Just curious, after replacing those seals have you had any leaks anywhere?
no, no leaks unfortunately the car has not had the state inspection so have not driven anywhere meaningful. Go to an online nissan parts listing to make sure the seals are the same. No need to buy a whole new valve cover. Does your 2006 have the VVT solenoid on the top cover too.
I went to the junk yard n found one exactly like that one...metal...not leaking from the tube clean spark plug ...but it wasn't for my car 2001 nissan sentral SE-R 2.5...yes they are making us buy the plastic valve cover...due to the removable of the tube seals hard to find
I know this is a old video but I just wanted to say thanks. I was looking to verify the part number because now I cannot find an actual part number for the plug tube seal. Only amazon shows this part as one that fits the 2004 nissan. I didn't care to trust only amazon or ebay.
your welcome, this was a video for a 2004 Sentra. Amazon they are probably more expensive. The Nissan Dealer near me If i go to their parts on line and order the parts through the internet and have it schedule to pick up at the dealer they told me it costs less than if i went in and they looked the part up. What I found was that in the exploded view of the parts there is NO PICTURE of the spark plug tube seal just the part number and it says spark plug tube seal....and again THIS is for an S model with a metal valave cover, NOT the plastic valve cover.
@@meTimetraveler I had the same problem, no picture in the exploded views, no part number. I have the metal valve cover as well. After some reading, apparently many of these are plastic covers (non S model) and there is no separate seal for the plastic ones; you have to buy the whole valve cover. I did order it from a Nissan dealer but I just ordered by part number and they cost about half as much as Amazon sells them for.
is yours's a GXE or S model? GXE valve cover is plastic and the S is metal. yes for my GXE I had to buy a new valve cover. The model S is metal so you should not have to buy one, just replace gaskets and seals.
I found in life that no matter what you do there is someone that does not like it and i found a lot of people if you follow them around on the internet they do not like anything
Thanks for all the info
Im workin on my 97
