Metro needs to upgrade their platforms on A line blue so it could fit 4 cars. 3 car train won't do any good anymore. Trains are getting crowded heading to Azusa and long Beach. Even the E line needs an upgrade on their platforms. Those two lines are super crowded.
Metro really need to increased the platforms on the A line and E line. A 3 car train wont cut it anymore. I wish metro could run on 4 cars because the trains are getting jammed pack going to Azusa and long Beach.
I know that. But many people still like to call the Metro A Line by its original name the Blue Line. We're just so used to calling LA Metro's rail and busway lines by their original color names instead of their new letter names. Same as how people still call the B Line as the Red Line or the E Line as the Expo Line (either in old aqua blue or new gold color). People can still call today's E Line as the "New Gold Line".
@@lacountytransitrailfan Many people cannot identify colours. Approximately 1 in 12 men (8%) and 1 in 200 women are colour blind. It's important for partially sighted and colour blind people to be able to use the system.
Yes and no. Officially the lines are letters now, but they also kept the colors within the circle around the letters. So the A line signs are surrounded by a blue circle. That's why the circles are different colors for the different letters. It's a way to still reference the old color with the new letter. It's smart.
25:03 LA Metro finally updated the approaching Pico station sign, with new blue "A" and gold "E" dots.
Metro Gold Line ends at Union Station in Downtown LA
There seems to be more people using Metro now compared to a year ago. That's good.👍

The title is incorrect, the new line letters fully replaced colours on the morning of 16 June 2023. This rail line is now the Metro A Line.
