  • Here's an F1 onboard lap at the Montjuic street circuit located on the Montjuic mountain in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Today we do the hotlap around the track with Carlos Sainz, the only Spaniard currently on the grid, in his F1 2020 McLaren MCL35, driven in Assetto Corsa.
This circuit has hosted the Spanish Grand Prix 4 times, with the last one being in 1975, after a controversial and tragic racing weekend that saw the death of four spectators during the race.
This track definitely feels like the Spanish Monaco, as it's a tricky and twisty track to drive on.

It's a shame that F1 didn't race in Montjuic until 1971 because the lack of money. This could have been the opposite of Monaco, very fast corners and a very wide track.
I dream of a race in my city and this is the best layout you can possibly make. I think they should consider moving the Spanish GP to Montjuic, Montmelo doesn't provide great racing because they have lots of data of the track and the layout isn't really good.

One of the best street circuits of all time. Far better than Saudi, Baku, or even Catalunya.

Thanks for making this. This has to be one of the best street circuits, even better than Pau. I say that because the streets are a little wider, but just as twisty and hilly, and the park-like setting is pretty. It's even good from a safety aspect because the downhill corners are slow and twisty while the uphill corners are more flat out. It should definitely come back for a slower category.

I think it would be a cool F2 race to be honest, I would love to see F1 return to it but I think there were safety concerns with the track but in the 70s. Not too sure about that but it would definitely be more exciting than Barcelona.

@@fabiopaulino2851 Kimi can be from wherever he wants to be.
But Denmark and Finland, while they are both Nordic and not Scandinavia since the Scandinavian peninsula only covers up Sweden and Norway, have a thing separating them, culture and history. Denmark has a North Germanic language, similar to Swedish and Norwegian, while Finnish is a Finno-Ugric language, and until the late 19th or even early 20th Century, other Nordic peoples like Swedes, Norwegians and Danes barely considered Finns to be part of the Nordic countries, let alone Scandinavian ones.
So yes, I'd say all things considered, Kimi and Valtteri aren't as much Scandinavian as Kevin is.
